Hi Chris, just checking in, trying to learn as much as I can as usual. You have to keep us updated on this one after they get their floors done. Thanks. Peace.
When is the last time you checked the calibration on your salinity measuring device? High salinity could be the culprit. Also, those coral skeletons look like they’ve been dead for months. What did that ICP test show and when was it performed? If I’m being honest, most of the tanks look like they are struggling. Also, is there a reason why you didn’t introduce all the Anthias in that first system all at once, to minimize aggression? I really do not enjoy sounding negative. I’m sure you have other systems that are doing better. Just be honest with your customers if you are struggling to keep up. They deserve it.
Try one thing at a time but if it's likely pests they should try dosing Korallen-Zucht Flatworm Stop & Coral Booster. Those products help the coral produce a slime that pests hate the taste of.
I’m having the exact same problem, my nutrients have bottomed out. I tried dialing the radions up and down, I don’t believe it’s the lights. I’ve tried adding nutrients still isn’t working. Rose bubble tip anemone looks amazing like the one in the video. Absolutely no clue what to do next.
For starters, stop adding different products to the tank. What does the tank look like? Does the tank have algae of any kind be it fuzzy rocks or strands of locks? Also what does the tank have for stocking? Also, what does your weekly or bi-weekly maintenance look like?
@@sovereignviper90I’m dosing absolutely nothing now because I was dosing Bionic MSV two part about a month ago and noticed no change in corals health. There is absolutely no algae on the display tank. I figured maybe the caulerpa is stripping whatever little nutrients are in there so removed the algae but kept the miracle kid and liverock that’s in the refugium. Everything I did, I did one at a time and nothing seems to improv😂 my SPS health. I’ve tried Acro power for 3 weeks doesn’t help. Nutrients are way too low.
@@sovereignviper90stocking is heavy already for the 150 gallon. I have over 18 fish ranging from chromis to tangs and filefish all completely reef safe no pests at all. Like I’ve kept SPS before with no issues and when I set this tank up last August I can’t figure it out. My previous tank was setup for 7 years before I started SPS. Perhaps it’s too young? Like I don’t get it.
@@sovereignviper90I’m using different salt now though is the only thing but I’ve been trying to adapt it back to the salt I used before now to see if that was the issue. Before I used Reef Crystals and I started this tank with Red Sea Coral Pro. I thought maybe the DKH isn’t right? But both salts have high DKH and I’ve tested my reef, it sits about 8-9DKH. My previous tanks I had salinity at 1.023, this tank I’m having it sit at 1.025 which is supposed to be better for coral growth no? Like I don’t get it
Those corals look like they have been dead for months. this looks like the salinity was way off or the nutrients went to zero with all the dead coral and no algae on them, something is not adding up.
Give me numbers to work with!!! The "had the tank tested and everything within range" saying kills me lol clearly something is a foot and without all the variables its a shot in the dark.
Seems like an infection. Use 24/7 UV, and nopox at night every day (slowly increasing from little to more, of course). In a couple of weeks you should see clear improvements, but you would need months to fully revert it. That's my feelings and experience. Good luck!
Those starfish “can” get a taste for different softies. much like a swarm of locus, they are pretty harmless until they hit a certain population, then… they go from a small swarm into a biblical plague. Something really small can become really devastating once it hits a certain size. My theory at least.
I’m couldn’t tell from the video, but is there anywhere a magnet or metal tool could have gotten into the tank and been decaying behind the scenes? The corrosion on those things wreaks havoc and it’s hard to know what’s going on unless you’re checking everything regularly. I second the note someone else made about checking an aquabiomics test, just to rule out some unknown pathogen. Might also be able to tell you if they detect dna from certain parasites.
@@aquariumservicetech2891 not sure where you live but I'm an ac tech with a tank.. if you see serious ph issues and they use gas furnace or fireplace beware..
I disagree. Or at least, I believe it’s a certain kind. There’s 16 different species of asterina fyi. I have them and I’ve always had them. Do you see my tanks suffering?

The saltwater really took a toll on that van roof

Nice
What are the nutrients levels? It looks like they may have bottomed out at some point.
My puffer been eating my Coral I finally caught him in the act
Might need to use a microscope on that last tank....

I had the exact same problem. And I know it’s highly unlikely, but once i removed leopard wrasse my zoas stopped disappearing
Its those starfish or the puffer. Tjose stars will eat fleshy corals when in numbers that great.
Did you do ICP? No element is accumulating? Is Magnesium high enough? Are Nitrate and Phosphate not too low?
yes it all
Checks out . No3 5 p03 0.06
I'd check the lighting( the spectrum)and flow
Thanks for the useful info!
Please keep us posted on happen. 👍
Always

Well
If you find a solution keep
Us posted. Try kalkwasser
Check for voltage on the tank.
Harlequin shrimp
Asterina starfish
and yes, it’s odd.. because i see the sea cucumber is still alive
Is that small puffers reef safe
Absolutely
What are they called
I had an asterina problem and my corals started dying. Harlequins handled the stars and kept them at bay and my reef came back strong.
tank looks neglected.....
Definitely
Wait and see

Sucks to see that tank not doing well. The scape looks dope. I would assume something bacterial..

Ok will do! Cal 435 alk 8.4 mag 1400 - po3 0.04 no3 3/4
All of those systems look like shit bro.
How? He mentioned several of those tanks where newer setups.
I think the owner either caused some sort of swing, and/or the stars got hungry.
can‘t you temporarily add a Harlequin Shrimp, to eat the Starfish?
We’ve tried but There’s a wrasse inside that keeps eaten them
maybe you should temporarily take out the wrasse?🤡@@aquariumservicetech2891
water chemistry stability?

Those in tanks but I’ll look into it.

Does he have cleaner ahrimp in tank?
No
The ph is ok ?? Do they have a gas furnace?
The plan is to add kalkwasser InThe future.

I don't care what people say the astrina star fish Definitely kill Zoes they suck something out of them
100% correct. Lost so many corals because of them.
