Surely Hind Al Maktoum has stayed behind and not left Sheikh Mohammed because she has become an integral part of a very large family. She has borne 12 children and surely that is enough to work out why she has not left. She has provided a foundation on bringing up all her children while Sheikh Mohammed has been busy leading, not only Dubai but also other roles in the UAE. Old school. Old fashioned times no wives left especially from honour based family's, tribes,villages. They are less educated ,restricted so they not too clever to leave or stand up to injustice from a husband. It's not because they are better women, it's because they brought up to tolerate abuse & injustice. Im discussing women in general from this type culture. This is why a lot of women have moved forward & obtained their own rights. Thankfully changes have happened for many that have voices. However those voices suppressed they still suffer more. I believe women will always have to own their own rights & not wait for it to be given to them by another. They should also marry one that understands women an equals not below or above men/another.
