The fact that Grossman was able to walk around free for 2 years is just unconscionable. She should have been held on no bail.

I hear you It's not unprecedented though: people like Chris Porko (convicted murderer in the horrible, violent Porko case, who was also a wealthy white boy) was allowed to walk free on bail until trial years later.

This dragged out for much too long. A rich woman, did something truly horrible. Then tries the SODDI defense. What a coward, a privileged coward!!

Update: before sentencing her vile defense argued Grossman had "suffered enough". Grossman was then sentenced to 15 years to life. A 60 year-old woman, wouldn't be surprised if she didn't live to see freedom tbh.

Those that say, that the verdict is unfair, and the Grossman children are whithout thier mom , Iskander are serving a life sentence without their sons, both Mr and Mrs Iskander that is their life sentence, people do not realize it, IT IS . The verdict is JUSTICE, it does not bring their children back. The Grossman children I do feel bad for them, its not thier fault it was their mother's fault. I can probably say they feel both lost and or confused as to what to feel overall. NO WINNERS IN THIS CASE, JUST SORROW.
The point isn't to bring the children back, which is impossible of course.
The point of this, is to assure justice for their horribly violent loss.
To make sure a selfish and dangerous person cannot do more harm again.
JUSTICE has to be brought.
Justice is presumed to be blind. But with those scales, she also carries a SWORD.

This Woman needs to wake up. Our justice system is two tier. Power and money can definitely influence this case. Keep that same energy if she gets a light sentence.
Exactly! A hit and run. Vehicle manslaughter. But going back and forth to court for 4 years ?. How much evidence was needed? I don't see a fair justice system and I'm not gonna make this about race and money because that's what SHE believes but it was so unfair to the ones that are affected by injustice

They are seeking probation. And my god, she is so wrong about the american justice system, and i really wish she wouldn't have said those awful worss that people receive EQUAL JUSTICE.
The key words she said were "in her experience."
Thankfully Grossman's sentence felt just (15 years to life) but that's not every case. The American Justice system is way too harsh on working class / poor people with misdemeanors and WAYY too light on white collar crime / felonious crime for people with money.
Brock Allen Turner served barely 3 months for 3 (3!!!!) felony rape convictions. The prosecution recommended 6 years. Now the little S.O.B. is trying to get them overturned, because he's a sex offender and no one wants to hire him. Poor baby.

I don't know, yest this was a horrible, tragic case, but did the driver deserve life in prison? Wouldn't 20years be enough? After 20 years she will hardly remember or be bothered about what she did anymore, she will just be a number in the system. It is not a "punishment" anymore after so long time. And we have prisons for punishments, don't we? 20 years would be enough. And yes I do feel terrible sorry and sad for the parents and the siblings and grandparents of the two little boys❤❤
