Australia criminal sentences are really ridiculous in my opinion. Three years for attempted murder? I think it should be twenty or thirty years

@@Mrsjennaferg in aussie land drug addicts get more time in prison than a murder. Go figure. It seems like murderers and pedophiles get less time or get off scot free compared to most offenses like, selling drugs, car theft, robberies, speeding tickets etc..

Australia is a dangerous place. I had a terrible encounter when I started pulling over to give a hitch hiker a ride only to see at the last moment 2 other men waiting along a big drainage pipe that went under the road. I never fully pulled up and I just gunned the motor of my panel van and got going as fast as I could. All of the men came up onto the road and started waving there fists at me. It was a way out in the dry barren inland of South Australia. Those men probably would have killed me and stuffed me into the drainage pipe. My van had every thing that I owned in it and some things were quiet valuable to me. I never have picked ANYBODY up ever again. That was 30 years ago. What I have always wondered is what happened when some one else stopped to pick up the hitch hiker. I still get the shivers when I think of what almost happened to me. I often think that I should have told the Police. Perhaps there is an old human skeleton still in the drainage pipe.

The people hiding was most likely going to rob you and take your vehicle, it is known that when you go out in the outback you don't stop for hitchikers as being robbed is a huge possibility, I went to outback Australia for a holiday and of a night we stayed in a locked camping area, as a Aussie I knew this its probably not that well known for OS travellers

Why do they think they can get away doing such horrific things. After seeing this, I hope I won't marry a woman like her. I understand that we'd just about all like to be materially comfortable and have financial security. However, getting a gun and shooting someone, carrying out multiple frauds (not giving a second thought to the rightful heirs who are left with nothing), what sort of a person is capable of such actions? Not once, mind you. Her greed drives her to start the process all over again.
I wonder if there are many cases of people who were "smart" enough not to get greedy and sat back with their stolen property, and no one was the wiser? I'd be a nervous wreck, I'd never be able to enjoy those assets, waiting for a knock at the door.
