Same! I think theyre so well made. The investigations seem 'smarter," more logical. They are much better than any american show. I never thought about learning about the country's geography, but u are absolutely correct.
I think in the case of a violent crime people involved should be required to cooperate and submit to tests and interviews. It should not be optional. That makes no sense

Australia is a dangerous place. I had a terrible encounter when I started pulling over to give a hitch hiker a ride only to see at the last moment 2 other men waiting along a big drainage pipe that went under the road. I never fully pulled up and I just gunned the motor of my panel van and got going as fast as I could. All of the men came up onto the road and started waving there fists at me. It was a way out in the dry barren inland of South Australia. Those men probably would have killed me and stuffed me into the drainage pipe. My van had every thing that I owned in it and some things were quiet valuable to me. I never have picked ANYBODY up ever again. That was 30 years ago. What I have always wondered is what happened when some one else stopped to pick up the hitch hiker. I still get the shivers when I think of what almost happened to me. I often think that I should have told the Police. Perhaps there is an old human skeleton still in the drainage pipe.
Great that you listened to and followed your gut instincts. I never have and never will never ever stop for hitchhikers. People always always listen to your gut instincts.
The people hiding was most likely going to rob you and take your vehicle, it is known that when you go out in the outback you don't stop for hitchikers as being robbed is a huge possibility, I went to outback Australia for a holiday and of a night we stayed in a locked camping area, as a Aussie I knew this its probably not that well known for OS travellers
Here this woman has a man that loves her, so much so that he can't conceive of her trying to kill him. And thousands of women can't find a man to love them half as much and they're willing to love a man wholeheartedly. Why? Why? Why?
I'm still wondering what was she planning for the story to be ? Since she did not tell them about the pirates to begin with coma what was her cover up going to be ? It was the 2 of them alone out on a boat, who was she initially going to blame in her plan ?
Why??? People think that money can bring happiness... even after killing someone close to you. Money doesn't bring happiness... It's the way we live is more important. Why do they think they can get away doing such horrific things. After seeing this, I hope I won't marry a woman like her. I'm an Indian , I know there are many crimes also in India but not in our state Mizoram.
Wait a minute she obviously looks guilty when the cops are talking to her and she didn’t want to take a gunshot residue test but she wanted to see her husband at the hospital so they took her to the hospital I hope they didn’t leave her alone with this guy
It was and is shocking that someone you live can kill you for what you own. What make a supposed l9ving partner a killer? Really horrid story, e add pecially as no proof of 3rd husband being killed too. What has happened to her? Are they watching her again if she's free?
I understand that we'd just about all like to be materially comfortable and have financial security. However, getting a gun and shooting someone, carrying out multiple frauds (not giving a second thought to the rightful heirs who are left with nothing), what sort of a person is capable of such actions? Not once, mind you. Her greed drives her to start the process all over again. I wonder if there are many cases of people who were "smart" enough not to get greedy and sat back with their stolen property, and no one was the wiser? I'd be a nervous wreck, I'd never be able to enjoy those assets, waiting for a knock at the door.
People taking shooting cats out of context, Australia has a big feral cat problem and they destroy native wildlife. So people do shoot them... Not excusing her, but it's not unheard of here.
There is estimated to be 18 million feral cats right now. The federal government has a target of shooting 2 million by 2020. It is the main way they are culled right now, and was what they did in the 90’s as well. It happens in every urban fringe area.
Australia criminal sentences are really ridiculous in my opinion. Three years for attempted murder? I think it should be twenty or thirty years
I agree. In America you will get 3 years for having too much pot in your pocket.
Especially if it was premeditated

Tell me about it. I'm Australian, and our pathetic criminal sentences frustrate me to no end.
More like the death penalty.
Kudos to the police for a good detective work.
I like watching these Australian crime videos. I like true life mysteries. And also I’ve learned a lot about Australia’s geography that I never knew

Yes I feel same way too...very articulate and impressive presentations...plus the accents
Free Aussie geography, social studies, and criminal law! 👊🏾👊🏾
Wow she had a nice house. So greedy. She had a nice life and partner but she wanted more
Like the saying goes money does not make you happy.....
She should never get out of prison
I agree with you James Lade...👍
Yeah even life is rarely life here. She will probably get out in less than 15 years
mikfax life here in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Means until you die. Life means life...
Can't believe that even after she was caught, she tried it again!!!
She was still trying to knock him off while out on bail? That's even more ridiculous than her pirate story.
😂😂😂 True. She's seriously mentally challenged.
This is a great story. You couldn't find a better ending in fiction stories.
I think in the case of a violent crime people involved should be required to cooperate and submit to tests and interviews. It should not be optional. That makes no sense
That"s coming soon with new world order.
I agree. Anyone who has genuine innocence would not decline forensic tests in order to be cleared.
That would be a human rights violation
Wouldn’t that be great?
I was very young but remember this on our news . Great police work.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
When she refused to allow a swab of her hands for gun residue - I knew she shot boyfriend . No one would ever refuse if they did not shoot a gun.
i knew it was her because the video title is a spoiler...
I love how their voice goes up at the end. Love the accent and this is a really interesting show :) thank you
@Marten Dekker Watch this again and pay attention to the end of their sentences. I'm not making it up :)

Great police work!
Do the judges ever decide how many years murderers get in jail
They have guidelines they have to follow. So there will be a minimum and maximum sentence for specific crimes.
Sentences are never max in Aus they think of the criminal and their well being before the victims
That boat wasn't that luxurious to be attacked by pirates.
Love this channel! I had run out of T.C. shows from America and Canada. Thank you!! 👊🏾🙏🏾❤️
So is she out now looking for her next bloke😾
Nope, they've kept her locked up, thankfully

Australia's not a dangerous place. It's one of the safest countries in the world.
2018 - 375 people were murdered in Australia 2018 - 16,214 murdered in America...not that dangerous!

what surprises me the most in this episode is learning that you can buy a second hand rifle for 100 dollars with a telescope.

Why, in every single episode, does Lisa McCune's commentary have to be done in a wal?
She’s a serial killer!
U gotta paint and rip up carpets n pads
..so was she released in 2012?
No, they've kept her locked up. I doubt she will ever be released
How did she get a gun off the boat?
Don't think she did, she would have tossed it overboard just after shooting him with it
