This is a show I wish I had attended!! Damn! Lukas is my favorite musician and the way he so naturally possesses the stage and his guitar is so exciting!!!
A barn gig with flashlights for spots call for some damn beer and hollerin, so y'all can listen from the porch, I rekon. This is a damn show in my book.
Have you any idea what a beautiful person you are inside and out.? You are so much on the inside as to who I simply adore on the outside ❤THANK YOU for sharing ( seriously) THANK YOU..and the band.❤
Brilliant. I knew from at first sight... he has absolutely everything. Good lord have mercy, had I have met him at this venue I would have stuffed him in my life. .. like all of the girls here
You've got the love i need maybe more than enough, oh you got so much, so much, so much.over the fields and far away, i feel an awakening!!!!!Lucky audience
Lucky me, I started seeing Lukas (12 y/o) & brother Micah (10 y/o) play live often on Maui at Manao Radio studios where some of their performances were recorded live, their mother Annie would drop them off and pick them up right at 10PM. They went to school with Pat Simmonds, Jr. (Doobies) and had some great upcountry school fundraiser gigs with their talented families and musician friends. Willie ate breakfast, played poker with his frequent golfing & bud smoking/growing buddies at "Charlies in Paia" so often we nicknamed the place "Willie's Joint". I hosted and broadcast monthly a live concert radio program from "Charlies" with the "Manao Radio Orchestra + Special Guests" with some of Maui's resident or visiting Rock Stars making guest appearances with the "MRO" including Willie and later Lukas. Willie has had a core Maui band that he "woodshed's" with every Tuesday night when he is on-island and they often played publicly and particularly when he duet with his famous friends (Leon, Kris, Doobies) and Willie took them to a few of his "4th of July Picnics" and to "Farm Aid" and when he would become involved with something politically. Their lead singer is "Marty Dread" a local reggae star and Tom Conway the local guitar/ukulele instructor at Bounty Music on Maui. Willie and later Lukas would be guests on a song with many Hawaiian musicians. Lukas still packs Charlies with POTR whenever he comes back to Maui where there is a 15'-20' replica of "Trigger" Willies famous guitar.
I don't go to a concert to hear people screaming and hollering and whistling in the audience. They are missing out on the singers and the bands' full performances.
Robert Graves Yeah sometimes people are annoying.. Hopefully they are quiet enough to actually focus on a damn show.. The people in this crowd seem to be a little overboard...... Lukas drank somebodys beer, Id say everybody was drinking heavily!
Jimmy Page has ways to make the riffs resonate with higher intensity. Then there is the genius of John Paul Jones wedged into every melody. Just something to consider from a caring friend of Zep. There is an Eric Clapton inspired chord integration with an overall Jimi Hendrix "experience"feeling. Improv is unpredictable but the fans feel the vibes, so the mix makes you fly into "Spanish Castle Magic" which is an ethereal phenomenon.
I Ain't Gonna Say Nothing ... Nothing But Columbus Georgia Ain't Too Far From Wherever You Are, Darlin' ... Come Snatch Me On Up ... I Cook Good ... I Will Keep You Plenty Fed & 3:14 In This Video Just Made My Damn Day! ... :)
With a lot of respect for Mr. Robert Plant, I say this earnestly, perhaps a little more research and practice would be in order. It is a mighty thing if you think you can fill his shoes ! At age 19 he had achieved the greatest measure of success with his own original music. Just sayin' doing Zep and The Experience are quite a different thing.
I think it might have something to do with the fact he is playing the 3rd annual French Broad Brew Fest according to the huge banner behind the band. I'm sure there was some heavy alcohol intake happening but I agree it does get annoying.
It takes huge talent to take your shirt off and do a bad cover of other people's good songs. Huge talent. Jimmy Page should sue , but Lukas is too boring for Jimmy to care.
this guy you think has no talent recently played at concert in the desert the lineup included the stones , paul mccartney , the who , bob dylan , roger waters , and neil young with power of the real . it was said neil young highlighted the concert so yeah to boring !! and yes hes played with jimmy page in the past .. so mutual respect !! hes much more than a cover band !
Well Bill, Neil Young thought he was so talented he made Lukas and The Promise of the Real his permanent back up band. But hey, what does Neil Young know?
He might sound like his daddy sometimes but he ain't Willie ! Lukas is quickly becoming one of my favorite musicians .
He's come into his own for sure.
Bet you didn't know that Willie Nelson could actually sing classical and awesomely. He just chose a different style when he came into his own.
Isn't he the shit
He's definitely his daddy
Ya, he's definitely not his daddy.....Lucas can play a mean ass guitar....hats off to ya Lucas..
WE HAD NO IDEA AT THE TIME , who he was now we go just about anywhere to see this great sound that this man and his band make .

Zeppelin's fan???????
love Lucas, but that's a weak rendition of OTH... but he's just teasing it to get into his song-
