The bat is underrated...but just a lil. HAH but really, I do worry it doesn't have long for this world. It's always a walk on and, when visiting the park with non-enthusiasts, no one wants to bother with the insane hike to the station and I don't blame them. It's too short but the ride time it has is a perfect example of this type of coaster and wonderfully built into the terrain. As a classic family walk-on ride, it should be better than Cedar Point's Iron Dragon but Iron Dragon is RIGHT THERE, you can't forget it and it gives a full lengthy ride with two lift hills. The first half is just pleasant and the second gets a bit more loopy and swingy. As for firehawk, ehhh? I rode it during it's first and second years as a new coaster at Six Flags Geauga Lake. It was a fascinating novelty at a newly laughably run park so getting on it was a chore. I had higher hopes once it moved to Kings Island, if only because the low flying parts weren't over bare gravel and stones and tucked closer to the woods. Yes, it had been a few years and I'm a quite heavier person but still fairly short. I was ready for heavy Gs but I didn't get any sort of "flying" experience like the early days. Instead, it felt like I was pressed down the whole ride (like stand-ups) and being constantly scrunched down. Spent the whole ride trying ti push my legs straight but was a bit too short! I think it may just be a failed concept.......because I think I'd still prefer full stand up style cars like King Cobra and Mantis. Yet again, I'm short. I'm also female. I understand the hate of them. But I don't have excess height or balls so I generally enjoyed them!
I prefer the Beast. Love the simplicity of the layout. Love the terrain setting. Just drops and speed. All the twisting and looping I can’t do anymore.
Mystic Timbers above the Beast? Sacrilege lol Edit: You called this your #1 pick before the drop. Whoever you made this list with should've listened to you more because as someone who's been to Kings Island over 100 times the Beast is at least top 3 if not top 2 with Diamondback.
Unknown Hooman i just rode it 5 times yesterday and 65 this season mystic has great hills if has amazing airtime and it flies through its layout and going over whitewater canyons makes the experience better so mystic is definitely better than the beast and it is really smooth and the beast is not
I have been going to Kings island ever since I was little, and my favorites have changed over time. I have an appreciation for the history and work put into each and every coaster, but that doesn't mean that I personally enjoy riding ALL of them lol 😉 1. The Beast - rough, but AMAZING! The night ride is absolutely wonderful! I'm ALWAYS at a loss for words when getting off of this one. The helix at the end is so intense! The fast speeds combined with the feeling of being tilted to your side is like... I don't even know! Its undescribable! 2. Mystic Timbers - do I need to explain myself? No. Absolutely amazing coaster. SO FAST AND SMOOTH! 3. Flight of Fear - I know some people don't like this ride, but I've always LOVED it. There's not been a single time I've pulled into the station from the ride where I wasn't panting for air and wondering "What just happened" 4. Banshee - so smooth, and so fun. 5. Diamond Back - the first drop is EVERYTHING! So much airtime 👍 6. The Bat - it might be short, but even though it's not some people's idea of "excitement", it packs a big punch. I think it is really underrated. 7. The Backlot Stunt Coaster - I love launch coasters, but even though it has a launch, the best part of the ride is probably the short time inside the tunnel. It's pitch black and it's very fun. 8. Woodstock Express - pretty fun 9. Invertigo - not my favorite, but if definitely ride it. 10. The Racer - I put this here because on a GOOD day I might ride it. But it gives me a SEVERE headache. However, it's a classic and I love the airtime moments, despite the headaches 11. Vortex - really not my idea of a coaster I "want" to ride. It's very rough, and I don't really think it's fun. Everytime me and my friends ride it, we just come off with a headache and it definitely doesn't make us any happier. Not a single person in my family or any of my friends like it, and I see why. Any coasters missed are probably really small ones or ones that I am forgetting... Pretty sure I got all the big ones though Also shout-out to woodstock express, it was my first ever coaster (other than the great pumpkin coaster)

14. This was my first roller coaster! My dad took me on it when I was a kid back when it was still called The Beastie. 10. The Racer is one of my favorite coasters. If you don't want it to be rough, I suggest riding in the first seats. I never knew why people complained about how rough it was until I rode in a middle seat once and it banged me up. Since then I've always just stuck to the front seats. 7. Vortex used to be my favorite coaster, but I decided after I rode it in 2017 that it was my last ride. It's just gotten too rough over the years. I was screaming in pain instead of fun/fear the whole time. When my ride was over, people were groaning in pain and no one bothered to ask "how was your ride?" 4. I never understood what all the fuss was about The Beast when I rode it the first few times. It was just a rough, mediocre roller coaster. But then someone told me I should ride in the front seat and I did and it totally transformed the ride into one of my favorites. I think it would benefit from having smaller seats so the people in the back can see better - the view of the forest is what makes this ride special. For me at least. 2. Diamondback is my favorite coaster of all time. When the lines are short I ride it over and over. Love it! If I could only ride one coaster during my visit for some reason, it would be this one.
Yep I rode the bestie so many times in a rode that my dad snuck me into the beast when I was about 8. I was just a bit under the height requirement yet. Never did tell me how they convinced them to let me on...

The Beast, on a hot Summer night is a gem of a coaster as you pass the lightning bugs in the trees, and the breeze cools you down and you're out in Nature on a spectacular ride! I've always loved this Coaster and I miss it dearly since I moved to California in the Fall of 1981. But every time I've come back to visit family in the Summers, I always go to Kings Island. I was fortunate? (unfortunate?) enough to ride "Son of Beast" for 3 times during one past visit while it still included the loop many years ago. Antiqe cars 12. Bat 13. White water Canon 14. Eiffel Tower 15. Mystic 'Tinders' or Mystic 'Tindes' (as my sister calls it) This is my list, and I know you people gonna be like "OMG HOW THE HELL IS MYSTIC TIMBERS AT THE BOTTOM!! AHHH!!" And my answer to that is, I don't like it. It sucks. (At least that's what I think!)
Two big things happened when I rode the banshee: my first time, my dad lost his hat (and never got it back). Two years later my little brother got stung by a wasp (but quickly recovered).
An updated ranking would be awesome! Here’s mine: 1) Diamondback 2) Mystic Timbers 3) Orion 4 Banshee 5) Beast 6) Flight of Fear 7) Bat 8) Backlot Stunt Coaster 9) Adventure Express 10) Invertigo 11) Racer 12) Woodstock Express 13) Flying Ace 14) Great Pumpkin Didn’t realize you ranked Surf Coaster as a coaster, but I’d have it at #13 just behind Woodstock and ahead of Flying Ace
The beast is a little over 7,000 feet.. definitely not 2 miles long lol still the longest wooden coaster none the less.. Kings island is my home park and though it’s a bit rough The Beast is still a must ride!
The Racer I've ridden twice in the past three years and it's just...rough. I was afraid the Beast would be just as bad and I was surprised that the Beast felt smoother than The Racer. I'm still bummed about Firehawk...I sincerely hope they get something decent in it's place. I know it's a blue track whatever it is. For those who haven't ridden the beast...it's faster than what you think. I agree that the Beast is a great ride. I really enjoyed Mystic Timbers too...so much so I rode that one six times in a row! I slightly disagree with you about Diamondback...I personally thought that one was really intense but only at certain moments. Banshee was the first ride I ever rode at King's Island and that one is max intense.
Sorry for the necro, but I believe that the beast is significantly rougher. I can’t ride it more than two or three times in a row without getting sore shoulders. I can ride the racer all day.
You stated some statistical errors. First Mystic Timbers won Best new ride in 2017, not best wooden coaster. It won best new ride because 2017 was amongst the worst year for coasters as hardly any were built. Secondly Banshee is only the longest inverted coaster in the world. The tallest goes to Alpengeist with a lift hill of 195 feet and a drop of 170 feet. Banshee is only 167 feet with a 150 foot drop. Thirdly Banshee is not the fastest invert. That goes to Wicked twister at 72mph. Second would be the Vertical Velocity clones at 70mph. Banshee would fall in third place at 68mph. Banshee can claim fastest full circuit though since its 1mph fastest than alpengeist.
I just went to Kings Island yesterday with my cousin and she tried dragging me onto the Banshee, Diamond Back, and Vortex... the only one she succeeded with was the beast... I still have a headache
25:10 I think the raddle is from the spashdown scoop things (idk what they are called). The raddle only happens when the back of the train goes through the most forceful parts of the track. You can hear it on the drop of the second hill too.
Woah WAIT. Banshee came out in 2014?! No! Whatttt? That doesn't feel right. I felt like it opened in 2016 or 2017 jeez. I still remember it's debut what da heck I-
Does anybody remember before cedar Fair what the park the racer 1 train went forward one went backwards that was a lot of the beast is still my favorite.
Also, Adventure Express originally opened as Adventure Express and was never named for, nor was it intended to be themed to Indiana Jones. Good video though man.
@@sledgehammer_floatzel Thank you for knowing that there was another Bat before the current one (it's surprising how many KI fans don't know about the original bat) but it stopped operation in 83 and was torn down in 84
1. Mystic 2. Diamondback 3. Banshee 4. Beast 5. Bat 6. Backlot 7. Flight of Fear 8. Invertigo 9. Vortex 10. Racer Been to Kings Island over 100 times and this list has changed over the years but this is the final list unchanged from now on.
My top 5. Before I say it I’m just going to say I don’t like rides that are really bumpy. So here’s my list 5.Racer (It is Bumpy but it isn’t long and you can appreciate the airtime if you put your head forward.) 4.The Bat (Fun, but short. I didn’t find this bumpy and I appreciated the twists and drops.) 3.Mystic Timbers (Favorite wooden coaster! Amazing airtime, turns, and banks. I couldn’t imagine a better GCI) 2.Banshee (very good coaster! I found it smooth, and the inversions were awesome. The final Inversion was the best part on the coaster.) 1.Diamondback (I love airtime, and this coaster delivered. Very good airtime, smooth track, and overall a world class ride.)
Surf Dog isn’t really a coaster, it’s just a fun flat ride that uses track. It’s like how a Larson Loop isn’t a coaster, or how old school drop towers aren’t coasters.
Boomerang used to be called Face-Off when paramount owned the park and had another train in front of you and you'd basically be facing off against the other people in front of you ❤️
My top 5: 1.Diamondback 2.Banshee 3.mystic timbers 4.beast (at night) 5.tie between the bat and backlot ( I am going to ride Orion on Saturday so maybe that can make the top 5) Edit: Orion did not make my top 5 because it doesn't have as much airtime hills as Diamondback but I loved the first drop on Orion.
here’s my list: 1: vortex (rip) 2: beast 3: mystic timbers 4: the racers 5: backlot stunt coaster (it’s totally fine if you disagree, we all have different opinions)
The rattle isn’t anything bad. One other B&M coaster has the same rattle. It’s not like it’s going to ruin the ride. And plus, it’s name is diamondback and a rattle works really good with it.
I think Firehawk and Flight of Fear definitely should have been ranked higher than vortex, backlot and the bat.
And diamondback should’ve been first

1. Flight of fear
2. Invertigo
3. Delirium
4. Drop tower
5. Windseeker
6. Diamondback
7. Beast
8. Racers
9. Banshee
10.backalot stunt coaster
11. Antiqe cars
12. Bat
13. White water Canon
14. Eiffel Tower
15. Mystic 'Tinders' or Mystic 'Tindes' (as my sister calls it)
This is my list, and I know you people gonna be like "OMG HOW THE HELL IS MYSTIC TIMBERS AT THE BOTTOM!! AHHH!!" And my answer to that is,
I don't like it. It sucks.
(At least that's what I think!)
Thats a good list. And no, its ok not to like something
Woof Art :3 your list is absolute dogshit
where would u put vortex
@@ethanstmartin3315 its her opinion jackass
I can tell this is a gp list
Two big things happened when I rode the banshee: my first time, my dad lost his hat (and never got it back). Two years later my little brother got stung by a wasp (but quickly recovered).
Well he shouldn't have rode it with his hat that ride flips you upside-down
@@deft_spex_jr9628 it wasn't his fault. He didn't know what would happen. It was our very first time on the Banshee.
An updated ranking would be awesome! Here’s mine:
1) Diamondback
2) Mystic Timbers
3) Orion
4 Banshee
5) Beast
6) Flight of Fear
7) Bat
8) Backlot Stunt Coaster
9) Adventure Express
10) Invertigo
11) Racer
12) Woodstock Express
13) Flying Ace
14) Great Pumpkin
Didn’t realize you ranked Surf Coaster as a coaster, but I’d have it at #13 just behind Woodstock and ahead of Flying Ace
The beast is a little over 7,000 feet.. definitely not 2 miles long lol still the longest wooden coaster none the less.. Kings island is my home park and though it’s a bit rough The Beast is still a must ride!
The diamond back and banshee, kinda the vortex scared me a bit, im actully at kings island right now at the hotel for it 😂
1. The Beast, 2. Banshee, 3.Mystic Timbers, 4. Flight Of Fear, 5. Diamondback 👍🤘
seriously, Just because KI considers surf dog a coaster doesn't mean you have to include it in your list
Carson Wulf I never been but I think surf dog looks like fun. Its not completely a rollercoaster but has its coaster elements.
Seriously, since this guy put surf dog on his coasters list doesn't mean you have to rant about it.
@@burtor55able I was trolling in a mean way
The Racer I've ridden twice in the past three years and it's just...rough.
Avner Rosenstein in my opinion The Racer was smoother to me but I think that’s just me
Sorry for the necro, but I believe that the beast is significantly rougher. I can’t ride it more than two or three times in a row without getting sore shoulders. I can ride the racer all day.
@@emmab007 I rode front seat in the red side racer....it was rough as hell.
I miss living right by kings island. So many happy memories there
The backlot stunt coaster looked like a junior launch coaster
its a launched family coaster yes.
Yea
Thank you, that stuff bothered me too.
Shut up know it all
I just went to Kings Island yesterday with my cousin and she tried dragging me onto the Banshee, Diamond Back, and Vortex... the only one she succeeded with was the beast... I still have a headache
Superb footage 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
25:10
I think the raddle is from the spashdown scoop things (idk what they are called). The raddle only happens when the back of the train goes through the most forceful parts of the track. You can hear it on the drop of the second hill too.
Adventure express : * goes fast *
UA-cam : not today
* ad pops up *
The Racer got a retrack for 2021 I believe. It's actually not that bad now I rode it like 6 times this year and I had fun each time
Yeah, Gravity Group retracked Racer and its 1000 times better than last season for sure. Well worth the effort. We really enjoyed Racer this season!!
The beast is great for its age. Ride front seat though otherwise youll get jarred to hell. Best night coaster in the world
I rode it in row 2 it was good
I agree, further back in the train you go the more whiplash you get, front seat is amazing
I really like the rides like surf dog. It's simple, but it feels fun to ride and kids can enjoy it too. Great for kids not to be left out of the rides
As a coward, my top 5 would be-
5. Woodstock express
4. Mystic timbers
3. Adventure express
2. Backlot stunt coaster
1. Bat
I’ve been to king island many times and I think diamondback should be first
The retracked Beast is probably the best experience I’ve ever had on a roller coaster.
Quick correction for you: Banshee isn’t the tallest B&M invert out there. Alpengeist at BGW is taller.
Thank you for pointing that out.
@@ShowMeCoasters and also the old bat was released in 1994 and it got torn down for Top Gun and then Top Gun was remained The Bat.
Also, Adventure Express originally opened as Adventure Express and was never named for, nor was it intended to be themed to Indiana Jones. Good video though man.
I've ridden a few Vekoma boomerangs and in my opinion, Invertigo is the best I've been on. That ride is INTENSE!
@@sledgehammer_floatzel Thank you for knowing that there was another Bat before the current one (it's surprising how many KI fans don't know about the original bat) but it stopped operation in 83 and was torn down in 84
Can I have some invertgo tips?
Dont die
1. Mystic
2. Diamondback
3. Banshee
4. Beast
5. Bat
6. Backlot
7. Flight of Fear
8. Invertigo
9. Vortex
10. Racer
Been to Kings Island over 100 times and this list has changed over the years but this is the final list unchanged from now on.
Soft Needles thank you!
List is great!
Adventure express is so underrated. I have done every ride in the park and I still enjoy it everytime I ride it
RIP FireHawk
My top 5. Before I say it I’m just going to say I don’t like rides that are really bumpy. So here’s my list
5.Racer (It is Bumpy but it isn’t long and you can appreciate the airtime if you put your head forward.)
4.The Bat (Fun, but short. I didn’t find this bumpy and I appreciated the twists and drops.)
3.Mystic Timbers (Favorite wooden coaster! Amazing airtime, turns, and banks. I couldn’t imagine a better GCI)
2.Banshee (very good coaster! I found it smooth, and the inversions were awesome. The final Inversion was the best part on the coaster.)
1.Diamondback (I love airtime, and this coaster delivered. Very good airtime, smooth track, and overall a world class ride.)
Surf Dog isn’t really a coaster, it’s just a fun flat ride that uses track. It’s like how a Larson Loop isn’t a coaster, or how old school drop towers aren’t coasters.
0:23 that’s not a rollercoaster
Banshee was my first ever rollercoaster
Estelle He mine was invertigo I hated it lol 😂
1. Diamondback
2. Banshee
3. Mystic timbers
4. Beast
5. Backlot stunt coaster
great ranking!
i’m glad they put new tracks on the racers
I was riding the racer when the red train was only available
Boomerang used to be called Face-Off when paramount owned the park and had another train in front of you and you'd basically be facing off against the other people in front of you ❤️
Top favorites>
1.) Flight of Fear
2.) Diamondback
3.) Banshee
4.) Mystic timbers
5.) The Beast
🖤🖤
My top 5:
1.Diamondback
2.Banshee
3.mystic timbers
4.beast (at night)
5.tie between the bat and backlot
( I am going to ride Orion on Saturday so maybe that can make the top 5)
Edit: Orion did not make my top 5 because it doesn't have as much airtime hills as Diamondback but I loved the first drop on Orion.
When the beast opened it was the longest and fastest COASTER in the world
Coasterhocky Gaming Boy I'm pretty sure it's still to this day the longest wooden coaster
yes true
1: Mystic Timbers
2: Banshee
3: Diamondback
4: The Beast
5: Firehawk (RIP)
i am going again my second time in 2019
here’s my list:
1: vortex (rip)
2: beast
3: mystic timbers
4: the racers
5: backlot stunt coaster
(it’s totally fine if you disagree, we all have different opinions)
Vortex gave me a headache. Just saying
Unpopular opinion but Vortex was my favorite coaster growing up.
Wth flight of fear definatley should have been rated higher than vortex and the bat for sure
I'd say the adventure express is definitely good training for The Beast if you know what I mean 👀
R.i.p The fire hawk 😞☹️🤯
The rattle isn’t anything bad. One other B&M coaster has the same rattle. It’s not like it’s going to ruin the ride. And plus, it’s name is diamondback and a rattle works really good with it.
The bat was originally called Top Gun
Woodstock Express looks dope!
I loved the firehawk!!!
Kings Islands a GREAT park. But after Cedar Point I was bored with it
Ceder point is the best park on earth, plus It's surrounded by water and Beautiful, Kings Island for me was a big disappointment.
I remember when the racer had dueling coasters, but one was run backwards.
