I like how fnf modding has its own small musical motifs that make sense thematically.
Character is dead? throw it in a similar key as monochrome and people will get it even if it’s not actually the same notes. (Might even have been by accident idk lol)
I love this new branch of fnf exe mods. Gives a different vibe than the sonic exe fnf mod, but still this is great! And the animation are ridiculously smooth.
To answer your question about the casino, they removed it along with smoking and things like that because they were aiming for a more e for everyone approach, similar to SpongeBob, where it’s not just kids that enjoy it, everyone enjoys it. So they had to remove the smoking and gambling ideas to keep that feel.
I feel like, while this is valid, it still loses the vibe of cuphead. If the game has it, I feel like a lot of it is lost when you take that out. If kids can still enjoy the video game with all that stuff, I don’t think that it should have been a huge deal to the show.

This mod is pretty cool! I really like the cutscenes, backgrounds, music, and other little details.
I think they didn't show the casino in the Cuphead show due to the show technically being a "kids show". It would had violated the Netflix TOS due to gambling I think.
But I definitely agree with you about it not feeling like Cuphead, I still like it though.
You can tell the creator of the mod did their homework. The first Mario.exe they used was the one from the image from years ago. Also, the knife he holds is a butcher knife (correct me if I’m wrong).

for to anwser some of the cuphead show questions(I added some):
Q: Why there was no Casino:
A: Because the show is for family not adults. The smoking a gambling and smoking is just a bad example for a "Family and kids show".
Q: Why is there no powers aka Parrying and Peashooter:
A: Because they didnt get to that part yet. It wouldn't make sense for them to shoot and parry right at the start of the show i can see them putting it in season 2 but not at the start of the show. You can see these eps like a good introduce to the show not just getting up to it already. PLUS i feel like elder kettle will give it too them as a cut scene in the show soon like i said they cant just parry and shoot like at the beg of the show thats just a stupid and bad thing to do.
Q: Why is the animation not as smooth as the Cuphead show:
A: Do you know how LONG that would take?! Judging how the game took THAT long to release the full game not to mention the dlc almost took like hell 3 years. The show is already smooth and they tried to make it smooth sure they had alot of people working on the Cuphead show but even if HANDDRAWN animation takes longer than u think.
Q: Why does the Cuphead show look to modern and aka not too ruberhose-ish with effects and other things:
A: Because that will be hard to do. In a behind the scenes video they said that the show would have tooken longer/Couldnt really do it because how good technology is because lets be really real here technology is trying to improve not look like the old days
Q: Why is the eps so short aka why are some eps not drag on feather:
A: Like in Answer 2 the show is trying to introduce you and getting you ready. Like in a show first season they try to make u get ready or show you what this show is gonna be all about not jump into action. Also lets be real here who wants to watch the Baby ep and the Handle ep thats 20 mins long to show u more of the plot of the ep. Like i understand the plot can be boring, dragged on, or just even short but eps like that is not a good example.

It'sa creepy, it'sa iconic, and it'sa... *_an amazing mod._*
This creepypasta mod is just another amazing one that has effort about the characters and their tracks' gimmicks.
This has probably been explained a lot but I hate You centers around a creepypasta that is about Luigi hating Mario for taking all of the fame so he decides to work for King Koopa. Mario eventually confronts him and has a battle with him that causes Luigi to die from being burned alive as he falls in lava. And as the hack ends Mario is left there to mourn. Those guys that you see near the end of I Hate You are undead Marios that you can find littered throughout the castle in the original hack.
And also just one more odd thing about this creepypasta was that it actually meant to make fun of others with cliches but everyone loved it so it became a "so bad it's good" situation pretty much.
I like how Gf isn't scared of a murderous hedgehog with supernatural powers, but is scared of a murderous red plumber

I can already see Sonic.exe and Mario's madness fan mods and I'm excited tbh.
Just a thought, but I would assume the arrows are weird to look at are because they look like something straight out of the virtual boy which was known for causing pain in the eyes after playing (at least, that's what I can recall).
Same goes for the opening cutscene too, in the way that its in a red and black color which is similar to how virtual boy games looked.

Okay, from my knowledge, this is what all of the creepypasta characters are:
For the first two songs, it's Mario.EXE and I'm guessing the design is based on that one old creepy mario image. The black and white Mario could be from something different though.
The burnt luigi is from the I Hate You creepypasta, where Mario drops Luigi into lava and the design is based on the end screen from the ROM hack version of the creepypasta.
The pale, sad luigi is an actual thing made by Nintendo. I'm pretty sure in the beta of Luigi's Mansion, if you got a game over, this guy would show up at the game over screen.
The big Wario head is of course the Wario Apparation, from the Every Copy of Super Mario 64 is Personalized thing that was going around. He pretty much haunts the castle and chases you if you find him.
Big Boi Mario is pretty much Lord X Mario. He is from Super Mario PC Port which I'm guessing is heavily based on Sonic PC Port. I haven't seen the game yet however.
And last but not least, Racist Mario. He is from a UA-cam video in which, during a Mario Kart game, Mario is racist towards all video game characters that aren't made by Nintendo. It's really funny and I recommend watching it, all though it does get a bit bloody at some parts.
Yeah the pixilated "Golden-Land" Mario is a twisted version of 'Mario Land 2: The Six Golden Coins' Mario :D
It also includes the Main Theme of that game, which is the "happy" part of the song.
I’m pretty sure Golden Land Mario.Exe is just the regular Mario.Exe we saw, but just in a different form. And it’s original.

World 2 is represent MARIO the creepypasta where the player was playing a ROM copy of SMW and the starts off normal until the levels get fucked up. Bowser's cave is covered with blood and there Is levels with past Mario's that have died and at the end Luigi burns in lava. He's wrong about the Cuphead show though because the whole point of it is to be a different take on Cuphead world so saying it's bad just because it's not following the story of the game is just not a fair criticism and shouldn't be used as a metric to judge the show.
For some backstory for world 2: the Luigi you see there is from a creepy pasta called “I hate you” in which Luigi is a traitor to Mario. After a whole fight scene, Mario defeats Luigi, and throws his body into the lava. So he was not skinned, this is how he looks after burning in lava.
Notice how at 19:58 MX says “Innocence doesn’t get you far” which is actually a reference to the mario pc port creepypasta

In the Beta of Luigis Mansion you get a timer to rescue Mario, and if you fail, Mario will be trapped forever and Luigi becomes depressed, like in the Mod.

Im still trying to decipher some of it, so I apologize if it’s not one to one.
I don't know if anyone has thought of this idea but I think the cuphead show takes place before the game and that's why some of the enemies and powers and abilities are not the same. like the enemies are sort of friendly and not up to defend themselves like the game and that the powers only happened when they drank that potion father kettle gave them.
For the luigi's mansion part, you didn't have the flashing light enable. There was supposed to be lighting strikes in the song leading you to see BF being hanged up, which is a reference that almost everyone knows. In the Attic in luigi's mansion a lighting will strike and you could see Luigi shadow being up the ground, making you think Luigi is hanged up.
