It’s difficult to believe what I read about the heavy localism in Mundaka when I see the very friendly faces and attitude of these guys. Anyway, great video, and what an absolute beauty, Mundaka and her surroundings.
I surfed this spot in the early 70s. No crowd, shit surfboards of that era and the water was just as cold. What made my trip there even more freaky was the political climate. Franco in power and the local separatist movement was in full swing.

I find it a shame (minute 4.12). The law in the Basque Country (Spain) says that it is mandatory to wear a mask outdoors and inside a vehicle if the people inside it are not living together. What example are these athletes and their sponsors with these images by breaking the law? People are currently confined to their municipalities and only professional athletes can go to other places to train or compete. I am glad that they can enjoy good surfing but they should respect the law and the rest of the citizens.

This is such a cool spot, the multiple angles of same wave are great. Seeing the shot from the side, surfer fully locked into the barrel. Hell yeah!
