Wetton and King Crimson represents one of the most important phases of the band. Sort of like Picasso in his 'blue period'. A true prog rock bassist among the elite, not to mention that The Voice is unmistakeable right to the end. I always enjoyed JW. R.I.P. man.
What is the cymbal the drummer hits for the quick accents? I know that Bill Bruford used a "dustbin" cymbal for the original recording, but this one sounds decent too...
Remember what your dad told you: "Son, if you ever meet a girl who likes the Three Stooges, Jimi Hendrix, and Progressive Rock, check the plumbing---it's probably not a girl!"
@@jonsilence In this case, it's absolutely a "girl". Actually it's a WOMAN, that happens to be one of the most talented singers around today (as well as an American Idol semi-finalist) that has a couple excellent solo albums to her credit. Check her out "Leslie Hunt".
grande jhon wetton no se que onda con robert fripp y no le dejan que cante starless y one more red nitghmare en conjunto que se extraña cuando tocaban juntos
The great thing about Crimson is they have a different flavor for everyone. Greg Lake era, Wetton era, Belew era.. Everyone's taste is different, but personally, I think the Wetton era albums Starless and Bible Black and Red may be my favorites.
John Wetton and Greg Lake, two great voices both sang for KC
How intimidating must it be to play John Wetton’s bass lines with him staring right at you? No pressure or anything.
Some health food fg
RIP John Wetton
BTW, the drummer for this band is killer!!

This is the second video I've seen of Wetton performing one of the Red songs with a random band. What is the story here?
Its just a prog band that digs Wetton era King Crimson. And Wetton digs them haha
Hope for the future. I hope all these kids carry on and well, form a band with me. RIP John Wetton one of my major bass and vocal heroes of all time.
It's cool to hear a band cover a song like "Great Deceiver", and Wetton's voice sounds excellent in this clip.
R.I.P. John.
fantastic. District97 can carry the prog flag proudly. EXCELLENT
That's a phenomenal drummer!
Wtf, it's phenomenal
hot chicks and prog rock... doesn't get any better than that

Love King Crimson but they really should have had the girl in it. : )
I have now heard the best version of One More Red Nightmare other than the original and it comes with a hottie to boot
Esta es difícil eh !
Blimey !
What’s the context behind this gig? Like why did he play with this band? They’re great btw! 😊

Great, great, great!

Bellissime. Wetton, con la sua bella voce, dava un fascino particolare ai Crimson: veri King.
I would loved to have seen this live
I'm a huge Crimson fan but why am I not interested in John ?...
