Good vid. Anyone coming to Jordan needs to understand that, by law, taxi drivers must operate their meters. We never tell students to negotiate with taxi drivers on taxi fares -- they will almost surely be taken advantage of. If someone is taking a taxi at or around midnight, then they will be asked to negotiate price and this is legal. In this instance, the taxi driver should be paid about 25% more than they would usually get if they ran the meter. Other than that, they must run the meter.
i wish i knew this before my study abroad trip to jordan back in 2015. first thing i did i was so stupid. i got off the plane and some random dude with no meter takes me from the airport to amman and charged me 50 JD. FIFTY. i was a fool. but it made me a wiser man lol.
im non arab speaker, by next week i'm going to study in umiversity of Jordan urduniyah, i need someone to teach me speak in arabic in jordan. can anyone who speak english teach me
