I think it stems from a song he did during a break while streaming Tears of the Kingdom. You can find that song as a short or through the VOD (TotK stream #5 at roughly the 1 hour and 56 minute mark). As I recall, scraping became a recurring subject for the rest of that stream.
It is actually a short in his gaming channel. The song is supposed to be about nuts, which for some reason involved giving nuts to George Washington and scraping off “the dry” with his wooden teeth which was silly enough that Mal left. It was a continuation from another song about nuts being soaked. ua-cam.com/users/shortsTD4nfTDk4b4?feature=share
So the thumbnail had closed captions showing for 0:09 when I was loading this up, and it showed that you were playing with “Mao” and that would be a very interesting episode of Stephen and Friends lol
I knew it... The scraping could have only come from Stephen... How dare you scrape off the scraping?! 🤣🤣🤣 And the end so much more scraping?! Why?! It use to be scrape up all the dry, now all these different forms of scraping?! Lord have mercy, Stephen has been an influence hasn't he?! 🤣🤣
As fun as this was...this always just confirms why I'm getting so burnt out on Jackbox games. They're relying way too much on RNG wackiness instead of giving mechanics where players can just be funny. As much as everyone hates on Quiplash for being "Pandering: The Game", I've so many hilarious bits from players with that game. So many of Jackbox games now are just "let's randomly sandwich your submitted answers into incoherent nonsense like a madlib."
That or it is another party game that can be done nicely elsewhere or offline. In particular, this really is a worse version of Quiplash or an improv where one word is added on top of each other.
13,000 a year = 250 a week
40 hours a week = $6.25 an hour.
Tom is below minimum wage.
"i breaks your feet" has me crying at 1 AM holy *shit*
What, pray tell, is up with all of the _scraping_ ?! 😨😂
Dental cleaning. That’s the story I’m sticking with as it happened to me just yesterday.
You need to scrape off the dry.

You could do job job every week and it'd never get old.
#ScrapeOffAllTheDry
And since Tom Fawkes was involved, #ScrapeAndLick .
Man Stephen just keeps winning. I think he's won most if not all games of Job Job on the channel. Still hilarious regardless.

“Butt space” my new favorite phrase.
One lasagna and not a more
My grandparents had cat named Bruiser, so that was a great answer!

This is one of my favorite jackbox games so always glad to see it lol
YEESSSS! I love Job Job!
I choose to believe you're just touching the doorknobs nose.
Does anyone else think the pot plant in the background looks like a depressed Oddish?
I laughed so hard at this but am confused about one thing… “nob”. Is that a word? It was used at least twice.
Yes. It is informal (slang) British.
@@OpDDay2001 typically still spelled with a K though I thought? As in knobhead?
No, nob is the correct spelling
@@enesevanderwalt5900 fascinating. Thank you!
Ready, set, BIGGER!
5:02 I imagine this in a Scottish accent. Or Russian
