The song "Prayer of the Mothers", was born as a result of an alliance made between singer-songwriter Yael Deckelbaum, and a group of courageous women, leading the movement of “Women Wage Peace”.
The movement arose on summer 2014 during the escalation of violence between Israel and the Palestinians, and the military operation “Tzuk Eitan”.
On October 4, 2016, Jewish and Arab women began with the joint "March of Hope" project.
Thousands of women marched from the north of Israel to Jerusalem in a call for peace. A call that reached it’s peak on October 19th, in a march of at least 4,000 women half of them Palestinian, and Half Israeli, in Qasr el Yahud (on the northern Dead Sea).
The very same evening 15,000 women protested in front of the priministors house in Jerusalem.
The marches were joined by the Nobel Prize for Peace winner Leymah Gbowee, who lead to the end of the Second Liberian Civil War in 2003, by the joint force of women.
In the song, Yael combined a recording of Leymah, sampled from a youtube video in which she had sent her blessings to the movement.

השיר ״תפילת האמהות״, נולד מתוך מפגש מרגש של היוצרת יעל דקלבאום עם קבוצת לביאות, המובילות תנועה בשם ״נשים עושות שלום״. באוקטובר 2016 קיימה התנועה צעדות תקווה בכל הארץ, אשר הגיעו לשיאן ב 19/10 בתפילה משותפת לשלום בהשתתפות כ-15,000 נשים, שהסתיימה בעצרת מול בית ראה"מ בירושלים.
הצעדות האחרונות התקיימו בשיתוף זוכת פרס נובל לשלום לימה בואי, אשר הפסיקה מלחמת אזרחים בליבריה בכוח נשי, והגיעה לארץ במיוחד כדי לתמוך בתנועה
בתוך השיר שילבה יעל את קולה של לימה, מתוך ברכה מצולמת ששלחה לתנועת הנשים לחזק את ידן.

في نفس الليلة، 15000 إمرأة اشتركن في مظاهرة مقابل بيت رئيس الحكومة الإسرائيلي في القدس.
إنضمت للمسيرة ليما جبواي، الحائزة على جائزة نوبل للسلام، ومن نجحت بواسطة إنشاء حركة نسائية بإنهاء الحرب الأهلية في ليبريا سنة 2003. في أغنية "صلاة الامهات" تدمج ياعيل تسجيل من ليما تبارك فيه حركة "نساء يصنعن السلام".

I am an American mother and teacher. During the 1960-70s, we had uprising for women's rights and peace. It breaks my heart that this video was made 7 years ago, but the Israeli-Palestinian war has gotten worse. So many women and children have been killed. Yes, it was barbaric for Hamas to attack the music festival and leave 1,400 people slaughtered. Netanyahu to me is a war monger. Now, over 20,000 Palestinians have been killed. Biden has just supplied more weapons to the Israelis. Israeli weapons were used to take over Karabakh. Strange...the religion of Karabakh is Muslim, and the religion of the Armenians who were native to Karabakh was mostly Orthodox Christian. I would think Israel had more in common with the Christian nation of Armenia. As a result of Azerbaijan chasing ethnic Armenians from Karabakh, a huge refugee crisis occurred in Yerevan, Armenia. The refugees Ford, leaving their homes, cars, and possessions behind. I know this situation well because my best friend lives in Yerevan. She was formerly a resident of Karabakh so she had to help the refugees find housing, clothing, food, work. My friend has known war in Armenian her whole life. In my opinion, war is about grown men acting like little boys, playing with their toy weapons. It is about arms, money...billions, ideology. I am not claiming all war is unnecessary because that would be naive. Hitler and Mussolini had to be stopped. To think that our men and boys and girls go to war, not on risking their lives but often facing PTSD. I have known several veterans that have committed suicide. While our soldiers risk their lives, those in charge often relax at their 2nd homes on Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard inMassachusetts. I have studied every religion, and each has something to be respected in admired. Religion is often the main cause of war. Excuse me if I have droned on, but since my Uncle got killed in WWII, my friends in Vietnam, and my contemporaries children in the Middle East, I am for PEACE. My final thought is about my profile photo. He is Danny. His loser of a father cause his situation by abuse. Danny hasn't yet been able to live outside of the hospital and is now Domestic Abuse is a war against women. I tried to raise my own son to be a husband any woman would love and a responsible, hard-working, loving father, and I raised him alone. God Bless all, as was so beautifully stated, women of integrity and faith. Love you my sisters and loving brothers.

This song makes my heart cry for alle the children, mothers and all innocent people on both sides in what has now become a full on war since the 7th of October. How this came to be and how it has evolved, is one of many interpretations, narratives and discussions, but fact is that innocent victims are the result of this ongoing 'conflict' and as it deteriorates, a peaceful solution seems further and further away. Ya qué el sistema nos hace ver las guerras como el modo de defender la patria y no es verdad.
Yo nací en 1974 y mis primeros juguetes, eran un Fusil M16, un avión F-15 y figuras de soldados con uniforme norteamericano.
Ya en la universidad entendí la industria de las armas y como los países que las producen son los interesados en promover los combates.
Mis hijos no conosen esos juguetes, cambiamos las armas por libros de colorear y les enseñamos el valor de la paz.
Nací en Costa Rica y aunque mi padre es capitán de la Policía, mi familia vive en paz y sin armas. 🙏🏼

Mi vida a sido difícil, pero nada que se pueda comparar con lo que sufren otros, aquellos que viven donde hay guerras o quienes deben de migrar en busca de una mejor calidad de vida, ellos si realmente están sufriendo o ya no están con nosotros.
No se tu clero, pero aprendí de mis seres queridos qué la oración es fuerte y si nos unimos podemos clamar a Dios.
El mundo ya no soporta tanta injusticia, es hora de parar esto, y exigir a los gobernantes qué no se debe tolerar tanta barbarie.

We are disgusted with wars created by men in suits using our families as fodder for greed and power.
When do we unite and say no more?
That is exactly what we need to share and spread, message of hope and peace. Mothers can definitely lead a peace initiative, I really believe that. Enough killing please we barely have like 70 years to live naturally so let s all make the best of it.
