I miss these days and sounds of steam running the main lines was one of the best times I had as a kid seeing this❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looks like this was filmed on Q owned C&S between Denver and Cheyenne. 1957 - 1959. The power was kept in nice shape mechanically and in cleanliness. The floor in the C&S Cheyenne roundhouse was kept so clean, you could eat off the floor!
CB&Q was one of the earliest Roads to Dieselize
Old beauty..... Defying time....... When u see there is no option other than love.... Forever ❤
Great stuff. No fancy streamliners, just good solid workhorses going about their daily chores. Well chosen evocative music too. Thanks for showing.
This is great !
These are really great images. Thank you so much.
0:34 Here's #638 during his days of revenue service.
Some Howard Fogg audio would really compliment these images.
Absolutely, Howard ‘s fabulous C&S would be a perfect fit.
Aren't these all technically C&S steamers (outside of Denver, presumably) in the 1950's?
Cool video and channel just subscribed
