    Thankyou, great reveiw. Honest and straight forward. I.own couple of sport bikes. 600 and also ninja 300. One really good point you bring up is ninja 300 is average at rpm below 7 k but once it crosses it acts like a mini Supersport. This rush of power reminds you and everyone around you on road that it is actually not a beginner bike. Being low and short gearing is critical to ninja 300 perfomance. I would just accept it and enjoy it. A sport 600 cc power is not usable on road as around 4 k. One feels extremely risky behavior on road.

    • @Travelwithzx10r

      Exactly. This motorcycle acts like a 150cc below 7000rpm and once past that it becomes a beast. Yes I upgraded to a zx10r and the power of that motorcycle is not useable on our roads. Though the zx is a lot powerfull, I still love the 300 for its quickness and nimbleness.

    I still remember having wallpapers of the ninja 300 on my workstation in office (when we could change the wallpaper). I got my first bike in 2013. It was a small little fz16. Loved it. But the love for ninja 300 never died. I would always say to my friends that someday I will buy the ninja 300. Started saving up, cent by cent, pound by pound for 3 long years. Fast forward 9th November 2017 (same date as my brother's birthday) received Gamora (my precious). Ninja 300 didnt even make sense then with Dukes and RCs around. But 4 years on I couldnt have been a happier person. The engine is butter smooth and the parallel twin have the perfect displacement. Bigger parallel twin tend to sound like bullets or dukes. On highways, with a pillion at 150kmph, the bike barely breaks a sweat but you might. Its a capable little tourer and its everything i dreamt of and a bit more. The build quality is very good but not great. Gamora was the last of the imported ones and she is here to stay for a pretty long time.

      Spot on. My story is similar too. Got my apache 180 in 2010 after a long struggle. Really great and finally you got what you loved. My brother has a rc390 which is of course faster. But the ninja beats it in reliability smoothness looks etc. Even after getting the mighty zx10r, the 300 is still my reliable work horse. More happy miles ahead.

    Bro, I'm planning to book the new BS6 version Ninja 300 by April... Just need your help to upload a separate video about Highways performance of Ninja 300 bcos most of my frequent ride would be between Chennai to Bangalore and monthly once ride to some cool destinations..
    1) At what speed is the engine butter smooth without no vibrations at all and what RPM is it at ? Along with Mileage figures at that speed ...
    b) How long or many kms can you constantly ride without stressing the engine ? Have you did this test before ?
    c) How's the heat management at highways at those cruising speed ? We all know how hot TN heats up on April & May month..
    d) After a continuous ride, did you feel any body ache ? And was it severe ? Just curious bcos I'm planning for a long term ownership so I have to be very cautious of my health
    e) How's the Pillion comfort ? How long can they sit comfortably without pain in their butts ? Is it scary to sit bcos there is no proper grab rails unlike other bikes?
    f) What is the company recommended service intervals ? I saw you take your bike to your friends place...I will check them out once my warranty is worn out..
    g) if there is any that I have missed, please include that too..

    • @Travelwithzx10r
      @Travelwithzx10r  3 роки тому +5

      Good decision bro. Its a very good highway rider. Will be very good for your chennai bangalore ride.
      a. The engine is buttersmooth throughout the rpm range.
      b. The engine does not stress since its a liquid cooled engine. I have done 940kms in a single day for almost 16hrs. So the engine doesnt stress out.
      c.Heat management is excellent. Even in stop and go traffic you dont feel any heat.
      d.Body pain will be there. You need to keep yourself somewhat fit. Use some quality gel pad inner wear during long rides and use proper gloves and riding gears to make the ride somewhat comfortable.
      e. Pillion comfort is pathetic. Riding for more than 30 minutes itself is very difficult.
      f.company recommended service interval is 10000kms or 1 year.
      I have already planned to make a video regarding the touring capabilities of the 300. Will post soon. Cheers.

      Thanks bro. Now its 9 years and 78000kms on the odo. The 300 is still with me. Now by just looking at the speed breaker I can find out which one will hit the under belly and which one would pass through without scraping.

      @@Travelwithzx10r I see that is going to be a tuff, I was planning to purchase one. No doubt as you said its a capable machine but short comings like this is something which makes me have second thoughts. I guess in that case I can forget about going on long tours like ladak on this😅

    • @Travelwithzx10r

      @@entername3840 there is a twist. Mine is a 2014 ninja 300 and has a ground clearance of 135mm. Todays 300s have a better ground clarance of 145mm. So its not as bad as it seems. My zx10r has 145mm ground clearance and it is very comfortable over the speed breakers .
      Long tours are ok. I have done a lot of them. I know people who went to ladakh with the 135mm GC ninja 300. I haven't been to ladakh so far. So apart from ground clearance I don't know whether there are any other shortcomings with the ninja 300 while riding on off road terrains 😀😀. But it performs very well on highways and even on hill stations.

    Very nice review first time to see your video i want to buy 300 segment but im in confusion what would your choice between ninja and rc 390 bs6 in all aspects including relaibilty also for long term use please let me know u r opinion thank you new subscriber

    • @Travelwithzx10r
      @Travelwithzx10r  Рік тому

      Thank you so much bro. If reliability and long term usage are your preference then ninja 300 is the one. The 300 is built like a tank. My 300 has done 77000+kms and is still running strong. But unlike my 300 which is CBU todays ninja 300 are assembled in India and are not as good as the one I am having.
      My brother is having a RC390 and even the ktm has done 50000+kms but is prone to repairs and problems. The fork oil seal requires frequent replacement and now his fuel injector has failed and needs replacement.
      But maintaining a ktm is much lighter on the pocket than a ninja 300. For example the chain sprocket set of the 390 costs somewhere around 4000 rupees while the 300s sprocket costs 12000 rupees. Of course the 300s sprocket runs twice as much as the ktms sprocket and needs less trips to the service centre . You can take the ninja 300 any time anywhere without any worries about breakdown or repair but the same cannot be said about the ktm.
      Regarding performance the ktm is more powerful, faster and nimble. The ninja 300 has a better top speed on paper but getting that speed on road is not easy. The ninja 300 is more comfortable to ride and runs cool whereas the ktm heats a lot and the riding position is more track oriented. Hope this helps. Please feel free to comment for any doubts.

      Usually kawasakis are high on maintanance when compared to ktms and other brands. Even the chain sprocket of the ninja300 costs 12k whereas the KTMs cost around 3.5k. But kawasakis built like tanks. You dont get break down or any minor complaints regularly and are very reliable.
      So even though the maintanance is more, you don't have to visit the workshops regularly and have a peacefull ride.
      My ninja 300 returns around 30kmpl on highways at around 120kmph. If you are on highways the 250 should give similar mileage. In cities the z250 will have better mileage and handling owing to its naked design.

      Definitely. But we have to be as cautious as driving the 135mm version. Also while crouching your helmet will almost reach the key hole. These are the issues iam facing while riding my 300. Ground clearance was the major issue for me(135mm) but newer 300s are having better ground clearance(145mm).

    How do you feel is ninja is worth or rc 390

    • @Travelwithzx10r
      @Travelwithzx10r  3 роки тому

      It depends on the usage bro. The ninja is costlier more refined and reliable. The rc390 seen in the video has also run more than 50000kms. The Rc needs frequent trips to the workshop. But it is very cheap to maintain. The ninjas parts are costlier but is built to last. If you can afford it better to go with the 300 or even you can go for the ninja400.

      @@rushithombare4471 looks are subjective. Personally I like the 300s looks over the 400. The ninja400 costs 2 lakhs more than the 300. A few bucks more and you can buy the ninja650. But the ninja400 is more powerful and premium than the 300. Better have a test ride of both bikes and then decide.
