I really like your channel! Your videos are very nicely crafted, exciting and relaxing to watch (great voicing), like a flip clock! You inspired me to open up, clean and repair my first flip clock I bought a year ago, a 701 in avocado. It had a broken ear on two tiles, had dirty glasses and was in need of some oil. Thanks to your channel I could fix it. Thanks for the info and inspiration! I couldn't be happier with it, and you inspired me to become to like these clocks even more! Wish you all the best, from Alkmaar, Holland/Netherlands.
9:23 Lubricating the motor (which seems to be the most common fix....worked for meeee!). I used PTFE oil so hopefully it'll go another 50 years w/o oiling.
@@Flipclockfans For some reason it ran (half the day) until I unplugged it long enough to reassemble, and then decided to stop running again...so opened it up...more oil... 🤣🤣🤣 Hoping this time it'll stay working when I reassemble it. -.Sony 8FC-69WA
I have a GE clock radio 7-4310 and the clock recently stopped working. I opened it up and discovered the motor is still working but nothing is happening in the gearbox. Do you have a video I could reference for that? Thanks!
I discovered the problem! The shaft the exits the the gearbox and engages with the clock had slipped too far out and was no longer engaged with the gears within. Once I pushed it back in, I powered on the clock and it ran just fine. However, by the time I had reassembled everything it had slipped out again. Next time I will try to be more gentle during reassembly!

You need the NE-H2 or CSA neon glow bulb with an inline resistor. They can be found on eBay.
