it was an obvious rage quit . i would have taken the win . (man this takes me back when i used to play tournaments VS some salty s.o.bs) slingers was the only way how he could win that battle late game . he knew its game over after his slingers are gone . i hate those cry babies who beg for rematch and act like the rage quit was an "accident" or that they lost connection - how convenient he only lost connection after his slingers are about to get decimated :D lol

Syracuse archers only have 125 range versus slingers 150 so the archers could lose against slingers due to slingers getting in volleys before they get into range. The Epirus player could have brought archers with 150 range but they probably didn't think it was necessary because Syracuse doesn't have any really good targets for the extra armor piercing of the archers.
yeah bringing some thureos spears would help vs thessalians (epiros can also bring elephants) . i would probably take thorax hoplites over thorax swords VS epiros due to their cav (yeah thorax hoplites don´t have pila volleys but still - better armour , better morale and 15 bonus vs large along with "elite spear") . syracuse has dog water cavalry overall - bringing 6 of them is a waste of money most of the time (i would rather bring 2 shock cav lancers and 2x tarantines honestly) . shock cav general , 1 more shock cav , 2 tarantines , 4 thureos spears , 4 thorax hoplites , 2 samnite swords , 1 thorax sword , 4 slingers

Hello, Im kind of new at the game, and I was wondering, how do i get my units to throw all pila ammunition? I set them behind my main line and put them on guard mode so they dont go melee, they succesfully throw the first batch but never again throw any other round throughout the whole fight. He played one of the best armies for land battle multiplayer and your opponent managed it very purely … is there a rule to not kite? He played half kite build why didn’t he kite? … impressing that u almost had him, but in my opinion he played off his built completely wrong. Kite built means basically running back with all your units to get more an more slinger shots in. If u have the Mikro, cav is always superior and missle advantage too… the tactic from your enemy is to lose all his inf as blockage to shoot u down and get some nice shock cav charges. Look up some of Hamis battles, u will find exactly that. If managed with very good Mikro u will get cav charges into your inf which r destroying the thorax In detail Cavadvantages means he counters cav and slinger Missle advantage brings counter to inf… The only right tactic is when u play against smith like that to charge. Normally he will retreat and kite. Dropping of is very bad, u should have taken the win

He could of had you a few times during the battle and didn't/couldn't take advantage but so could you, its easy for me watching a replay and seeing missed opportunities its a little different whilst actually fighting a battle lol. HOWEVER if he stuck to the battle he may have won. your skrimish cav was very depleted and he probably could have kited you to death with his remaining slingers. IMO he thought he was losing and gave up to deny you kills. I'd take the win... you made hella mistakes lol you could definitely do better but imo he handed you the victory out of frustration that you got to touch his slingers so you might as well take it. It was a very close game at the point he dropped which makes it very suspicious.

i think bc of range(archer have less, most of them) and the archer are weaker in meele combat

if you got a unit in front they wont be able to shoot over your own units
