Holy macaroni and cheese. Tears of the Kingdom is by far the most impressive game I've ever played, no doubt about it. I had a smile on my face the whole time I was playing. Ultrahand, Fuse, Recall, and Ascend (aka the most forgotten one in my opinion lol) is just unbelievable. I could talk about those 4 things forever. Those 4 new mechanics have absolutely changed gaming forever. The story was such a banger. The MUSIC WAS SO INSANE LOLL (my favorite part). Look I'm a musician, the music was the best part. I was pretty much bopping my head the whole time while playing :) I want to talk about how this game is so massively, gigantically, overwhelmingly, absurdly LARGE. ON SUCH A TINY CONSOLE. Like how?!?! How is it this big?! And I thought BoTW was big... This is basically BoTW x3 in size. Because you've got not only the land to explore, but also the skies above and the depths far below. It just completely blows me away that Nintendo was able to fit such a large game in such a tiny console. I didn't quite feel the bosses OR temples in this one as much as I did in BoTW. They were amazing but were they better than the bosses and Divine Beasts in botw? Waterblight, Thunderblight, Windblight and Fireblight Ganon? Personally I don't think so. You can fight me about it. Queen Gibdo was 100% the most stressful boss in this whole game. Everyone struggled on her, right? right..?? RIGHT?? There's still so much more to this game other than the story, quests, shrines, exploration... Like I totally skipped over the memories, so half the story I still don't quite understand. Definitely going back to do those soon! Overall 10/10 game. It was such an amazing experience and I cant wait for what the future has in store for us Nintendo fans. Like if Nintendo is producing games this big now, imagine in 10 years... Btw totally not to flex but I beat the game in 30h >:) ------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------* That's all for today! That was my take on Tears of the Kingdom. Thanks for watching and reading! And with that said I'm already starting to plan my next video. I don't know about you but TotK made me in the mood to play a horror game..
In the games intro Zelda fell down in the imprisoning chamber and went back in time, her torch did not come with her and fell into the abyss. That's why there was a torch at gloom's lair.
7:13 I loved that bit. That torch is actually Zelda’s torch that she was hold when she fell down into the pit. She traveled back in time due to the secret stone of time and she dropped her torch that fell all the way to the bottom. And since Ganondorf has no need of a torch, he just got up and left it there. It’s been sitting there ever since. I hope you enjoyed this “lore of the torch” episode.
6:40 the glyphs behind the breakable rocks were showing what would have happened (zelda turning into a dragon and link getting the master sword from her) but you couldnt know that on a first playthrough because you dont have bombs at that point! Its a cool easter egg and detail that the devs made to top off this game
I’m so glad I didn’t do the game like this. I actually did the geoglyphs and all the main quests in order, so I was able to fully feel the impact of the final scenes and understand the lore. Made me emotional man.
Ikr the final scenes gets so much better when u do the dragon tears guest, i dont get why some people just dont do this guest because in my opnion that is the best part of the game
Sameee it made the dragon fight feel so emotional cus u know all the blood sweat and TEARS put into getting to that moment, man when Zelda came zooming in to instinctively save link even after a Millenia I got so emotional
I only just finished the main quest last night. Took me 4 months mainly because I just didn’t want it to end. I‘m so glad I took my time and finished everything else before the main quest though, it made the whole story so much more emotional 🥹
I didn’t do the geolgylphs in order, but I just got them as I went and skipped past them, that way I could watch them all in order when I finished the quest
the torch is at the bottom of the chasm because when link and zelda were exploring at the beginning of the game, when zelda fell, the torch she was carrying fell into the abyss, and landed at the bottom. it’s a nice little touch that the developers added :)
I could tell by his reaction to the ending that he did not get the dragon tears at all LOL. If I hadn't gotten them I would've been so confused at the ending.

Do you guys know if you have to get mineru before fighting ganon if you want stuff to actually change after you fight ganondorf? Because today i just faught him and it made me just reload my save from before i fought ganondorf. Also nothing changed besides ganondorf being put in my character log and i had a star by my save. I talked to purah and she didn't have any new dialogue. Does this happen normally even after getting all five sages?

it is a weak excuse, but keep in mind what her power is. The construct might be able to follow you to that point, but after it just becomes an empty husk, incapable of autonomous action. Link has other things to worry about than dragging a lump of useless zonai material around, especially surrounded by the weight of ganondorf's power (heck, there are gloom hands mere moments away). The sages, recognizing the link to their avatars have been severed, go in person to assist, and the power of their stones so close together creates a sort of "bubble of light" that weakens ganondorf's pressure, allowing her to regain control of the mech and rejoin the fight, though she must still march forward with the sages to catch up to Link. Yes, it is mostly head canon, but is it really that far a stretch? The fundamental reality is that it is an intentional restriction on the player as they near the final challenge, they just did not have the resources to implement such a heavy handed explanation to close the potential plot hole, and no where to put the lore that made sense as it would just cause greater confusion on the surface or in the sky, ganondorf would not explain the full extent of his strength and weaknesses to his opponent, and the area past the "no sages" point is too short and focused on combat to expect players to find an explanation hidden amidst the ruins and tunnels. Link has the blessings of the sages, not the full power of the sages. Ganondorf's might is strong enough to sever Link's connections to the sages, but cant stop the sages themselves. The construct is Mineru's avatar, whilst her spirit powers let her control it a bit more directly than the other sages, but in lacking a physical body, she cannot express her will or sense of self beyond maintaining a soul form. Mineru the soul was still looking for information at her temple, the construct in "avatar mode" was simply an autonomous combat construct allied with Link. The construct never spoke to or guided Link outside of the dungeon region, meaning Mineru was not actually present. Was it a translation error, some murky subtext, or just my overactive imagination? I can't really say. The evidence is weak no matter the case i make, but the point is that an explanation exists as long as you can accept possibilities not directly stated in-game.
during my fight with ganondorf third phase, i got spoiled that he dodges flurry rushes. but i did it, he never dodged my flurry rushes. i feel like that was either a 1.1.1 bug or insane luck

In the intro, Zelda dropped the torch before she fell. The torch fell and apparently nothing had happened to it since your exploration underneath Hyrule castle.
Gonna say it, regardless of everyone else who already has: game's intro zelda falls into the abyss alongside mummydorf. End of game zelda's corpse is nowhere to be found at the bottom of the pit, only the torch she used. Torch is there for environmental storytelling, and the geoglyphs explain the lack of corpse and the unknown faces in the ending, alongside removing the dragon shock factor. If it wasnt obvious, showing up at the demon king's army early also comes with a boss gauntlet of those you have yet to beat in their respective dungeons, just like the blights in BotW. Light dragon will freely give you the master sword if you make it to that phase without ever having found it yourself, since it is needed for the coup de grace (final hit).
I totally agree with you I did everything* before I even thought of the final battle, I idolize the final battle and put it on the big screen and everything

theres a torch at the bottom because zelda was holding it in the beginning and the tear only teleported her and not the torch when she fell.
