She is gorgeous, I love the etherial almost insectile look of many of the Doll Château I have a 1/6 Zora who also has extra segments at ankles and wrists and is one of my fey girls. Sharon fits your aesthetic and ongoing Mayfair theme perfectly, sometimes impulse is a wonderful thing, go with your heart as they say. Can't wait to see how she evolves.
i need some advice! i’m getting my first ever BJD (from legend doll too☺️) and i’m exited of course but also, i don’t know how to take care of resin and i’m scared i’ll some how ruin this beautiful expensive doll. do you have any quick tips on how to take care of a BJD
It kind of depends on what you plans are with your doll. The main thing is keep it out of direct sun light, It will yellow. Dark clothes can stain, so best not to leave dolls displayed in them. Resin is pretty sturdy, but fingers and toes can be fragile, be careful with those. Faceups are fragile too, too much handling will cause wear. Body blushing...a nightmare. Expect it to crack and wear in jointed areas especially. The oils from your hands can wear faceups and body blushing faster, some people like to wear gloves to handle their dolls. Like the little cotton ones. I don't do this, because I like to "play" with my dolls. I tend to be careful with the face. I'll touch the top of the head for posing to stay away from the faceup. I also will do minimal body blushing, cause it's a waste of time, and starts to look bad. I usually do the hands, and boobs, and don't bother with anything else. If you plan to just display and not "play" with your doll too much, then body blushing is worth it for aesthetic purposes. Use magic erasers for basic cleaning. To remove any paint, use alcohol, 99% Isopropyl works, and use a magic eraser for the touch bits. If you plan to do more painting, make sure you wash the doll before spraying. Some dolls do well without, but ho glue sueding can help with some issues with posing which can help the stability of a doll so that it's not likely to take a tumble. Dolls I don't trust to stand don't get displayed standing, even on a stand. To be honest, I'm not insanely careful with my dolls and have had no issues so far, but I have touched up a lot of faceups.
Congratulations, She is stunning!! 🎉😍🖤
