There is a film named " Kashmora" which was released in 1986 based on Kaala jaadu & Vashikaran. There is no ghost in the film . But Rajendra Kumar & Bhanupriya's acting will give you chill and generate fear automatically. You can't stop that movie once started watching . Ye mene dekha bhi, aur meri khud ki step mom ne bhi mujhoe kiya tha.. But shiv ji ki daya se us time mein bach gyi kyunki hume jaldi pata chal gya tha.. Aur aaj mein shiv bhakt hoon.. Ab ye cheezon se mahakal bhairav baba mujhe khud bachate hai.. Islye sometimes when ur heart is not feeling right for someone particularly each time then its time for u to listen to ur inner voice over ur brain..
A "Re-Make" in its truest sense, not just a blind remake like a "Copy-Paste" version of the original, but having the same concept and essence and thus bringing a unique and distinctive tone to it is indeed a masterstroke!
I've seen the original film "Vash" and "Shaitaan" twice and those who've seen both the films must have noticed a lot of minor and major differences, but to me, the difference was as simple as "Day" and "Night", Period.
No matter whichever film you saw first, the way they've been picturised is engaging and although you think you're aware about the situations and the outcomes, but despite of that, something unaware comes up, leaving you both surprised and shocked and that is the beauty of these two films!
Whosoever is comparing as to which one is better out of the two, I would like to say, there is no comparison at all, as both are excellent in their own ways and that's what we should appreciate as an audience!
It's an undeniable fact that Vash was a lot more darker and gruesome in depiction, but special mention goes to the makers of Shaitaan for creating their own and unique voice which respects the original source and brings in so much more, completely turning the tables around at the end!
And a huge applause goes to the entire team, to the cast and crew of the original film "Vash" for making a strong and bone-chilling content!
And to the cast and crew of "Shaitaan" for proudly carrying that depiction with its own unique take!

These kind of movies lead one away from islam specially if they r weakly connected with Islam already or have very lower level of iman. In this auspicious month of Ramazan I just now watched this movie exactly before sehri time that too in a very pious place where namaz is offered. I felt very away from islam for a moment for watching a movie at such a place and that too the one which derived its name from the devil himself that is Shaitan. I’ve always admired Madhavan ever since I watched Rehna hai tere dil me. Seeing him in a negative character is out of my comfort zone. I must admit that his acting is mind blowing and he has done justice to the role. Despite of his negative role in the movie, seeing him in a terrible condition and being punished at the end is heartbreaking.
Accepting challenging and very different roles are perfectly okay but would be awesome to see Maddy in a role that suits his personality, sweet and humble. I’m always your big fan Maddy.

@@Ins0mniacGamer the suspense is in ending for me it was suspense when Kabir quickly cut R Madhvan sir's tounge and the suspense was also what he did with his son's microphone (ig). But you cannot deny that this movie is a hit ❤
I wouldn't call it a hit, but if that's what it goes for suspense and "hit" , I'm afraid the standards are low.
Perhaps the original gujrati film that inspired this provided some foundation to it, but people would watch anything
@@Pratiksha_Sonithe original movie has more thrill you can not able to watch some scenes because they are more darker and ending is way more dark. They have changed some scenes in the remake. And they change the ending completely to give it happy ending. But in original movie it's not happy ending at all
