One of the best examples of how effortless a work of genius can appear. A simple vocal arrangement melded seamlessly with a simple musical arrangement that complement each other to perfection. This song will never get old or outdated, it is timeless.
after my grandfather passed away I took a cassette tape from his Workshop marked FATS dated July 12 1997. I was 4 yrs old in 97, I remember them listening to it on the way to car shows and camping trips. ❤ This was one of the songs.
RIP Fats. He passed away only a few years ago in 2017. A simple but great song. I played it in my childhood every day. I didn't understand the American words, but the melody was very catchy......
I grew with his music through the 90s very fond memories of this amazing and beautiful RIP fats to many other people that no longer with ❣💟💞💜💚♩♩🎶🎵🎵♩🎶🎵🎵🎼🎼🎼🎼🔉🔊🔊🕨🕩🕪🕪📢📢📣🎼🎵🎶♩🎶🎶🎙🎙🎸🎸🎸🎹🎸🎹🎹📻📻📻
This is the last song I ever listened to with my grandfather. This song is the last memory I have of him, listening to this makes me really sad but at the same time I know he’s looking down at me and smiling. I know he’s proud of me but some times are harder than others without him here.
Actually He’s not looking down at you, or down at anything of that matter. People don’t go to heaven until judgment day if they even make it into heaven
RIP, u were one of my Dad's favorite singers guaranteed to be put on in the car on long road trips. May your travels go ever on, Antoine "Fats" Domino Jr. (February 26, 1928 - October 24, 2017)
I remember dancing with my ma to the oldies after kindergarten. This was back in like 1990, but I will never forget. Rest in peace, my beautiful angel. I will never forget you ma.
I found my thrill On Blueberry Hill On Blueberry Hill When I found you The moon stood still On Blueberry Hill And lingered until My dream came true The wind in the willow played Love's sweet melody But all of those vows you made Were never to be Though we're apart You're part of me still For you were my thrill On Blueberry Hill The wind…
I remember this in 1965 as if it was yesterday. the girl I was with was a real gentle beautiful girl... a real female. We just sat there looking at the sunset. I just loved being in her presence.
One of the catchiest songs ever, but the 2nd time around I think he sings: "The wind in the willow played love's sweet melody But all of those vows you made weren't only to me..."
His music was recommended to me right before my 12th birthday by one of my best friends and I vividly remember shopping for his vinyl records on amazon with my birthday money
Many Thanks Isac Lindvall for your "like" to my comment of this So Beautiful Song, "Blueberry hill - Fats Domino Lyrics" and once more, for your So Good Lyrics !
Im 25 and my grandpa whos my idol put me onto this song when we cleaned up his 49 mercury hot rod and we were riding into town for the classic car show and on our way there he handed me his sun glasses off his face and I put them on and he cranked this song and I put my arm out the window looking into the world out the windshield of the coolest hot rod I've ever been in (cause it was my grandpas) and just yeah I could go on forever but this song will always remind me of that great moment. Thankyou Mr.Domino

When this song comes on the radio in 12 Monkeys and it’s one of the first times Bruce Willis’ character had ever heard music...a master at work in that scene
I remember watching CNN cover the hurricane after it hit New Orleans, with a helicopter overhead and a boat coming up to someone in the water, and when the officer recognized it was Fats Domino, the helicopter pilot recognized Fats as well and over his headset he says, "We've saved Fats Domino, we save Fats Domino".....a great day in American history....New Orleans got a free concert!!
One of the best examples of how effortless a work of genius can appear. A simple vocal arrangement melded seamlessly with a simple musical arrangement that complement each other to perfection. This song will never get old or outdated, it is timeless.
It's gorgeous!!!!!
It's life itself!! Genius!
Right?!? It's like people nowadays are too stupid to sing over music! And when they try its garbage, like everything on the radio!
No, it's the pronunciation. "Though we're apaarht." Only Fats could do that.
My deceased Grandfather chose this song for his last song when they spread his ashes. I'm crying.. it hurts. I miss him so much.
"Though we're apaarht."
this song brings me back to my childhood.I miss you dad r.i.p😢
thereshe goes Ew, you must have been your dads thrill! Lol 😝
My MOTHER had liked this song - we ONCE heard a concert Fats Domino held in Houston (at Gilley's Bar and Tavern)
Whenever I miss my mom, I keep on listening to the songs she used to sing...
Mine also! My dad would sing this while picking wild blueberries, he just past away this spring 😭nice memories of this song for me❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss✨🥺

I'm a 25 year old who loves and appreciates music from this part of history more than I do with what song we have now.
Because the music had more substance
RIP Fats. He passed away only a few years ago in 2017.
A simple but great song.
I played it in my childhood every day.
I didn't understand the American words, but the melody was very catchy......
Let’s hope he’s finding his thrill on blueberry hill now
Rest in peace Fats Domino

RIP Fats Domino...Gone but never forget
The driving rhythm of the piano in the background and the bass lines on guitar and the effortless vocals make for a classic!
I remember dancing with my ma to the oldies after kindergarten. This was back in like 1990, but I will never forget. Rest in peace, my beautiful angel. I will never forget you ma.
This reminds me of just sitting in an open field with my friends and not having a care in the world

@@sharronpettis384 You know it! I'm 68 and
we will never hear songs like that again,
or a performer with such a velvety voice.
My husband had this song playing when he carried me over the threshold on our honeymoon - the honeymoon suite was blue, and on a hill...!
I found my thrill
On Blueberry Hill
On Blueberry Hill
When I found you
The moon stood still
On Blueberry Hill
And lingered until
My dream came true
The wind in the willow played
Love's sweet melody
But all of those vows you made
Were never to be
Though we're apart
You're part of me still
For you were my thrill
On Blueberry Hill
The wind…
Got words wrong muppet
Such a simple song but so soulful ❤
