I love each & everyone of your recipes & the icing on the cake is your voice & the way you explain the process, adding to the Deliciousness of the food !!! Now I am hungry !!!
Good morning my friend Dave wow this looks absolutely mouthwatering. I’d have some ground beef right now. What a coincidence guess what I’m making your delicious recipe. I have everything I need except the croutons but that’s OK and I have mashed potatoes. I’m gonna put everything on top of mashed potatoes, looks delicious Dave thank you for sharing. Enjoy your day and God bless.🙏😋💕🌏
Hey goodmorning, okay first it was calzones I never tried and yes meatballs too 😮 I know but the calzones were great and I promise to try this meatball dish it looks scrumptious. Stay safe this holiday weekend. Blessings
I was watching the science of cooking and they said if you add 1/4 tsp of baking soda onions caramelize in a quarter of the time . I have not tried it yet but I will. I love your recipes
I learned how to make French onion soup watching Jacques Pepin on here. I will probably try this one day with a ground turkey grub. Not a fan of sage here because everyone grew up eating pork sausage at home And at Monopoly McDonalds x2. And bunches peoples unlike me never seem to get tired of that same old meat 🤷
Hey Dave, Happy Memorial Weekend 🎉 The Meat Store that I go to has unadvertised specials daily and I got this package of 8 really large un-cooked ground turkey meatballs and they're frozen for $1.99. And I was thinking about what I could do with them, Now I Know, your Recipe is perfect for them, Thanks again for sharing 👍‼️🙂
Hey William. Happy Memorial Day to you as well. Yes, have to shop the deals. That's a great deal on those meatballs. They would be great for this recipe. You're so welcome and have a super day.
I've never had onion soup but this looks really good. I guess I'm gonna have to break down and buy some onions. I just usually use onion powder. Who doesn't like meatballs.
Nice recipe! Have you ever tried curry ketchup? I had to order it from Germany. Hard to find near me but it’s a great substitute for ketchup! It’s great on sausage, burgers, kielbasas….
A couple of improvements. Make your meatballs bite sized. You get more of the sauce flavor. Other wise in the middle you just have meatball.Caramelize your onions. Much better the browner they are. Add a quarter of the amount of Swiss of Parmesan cheese. The saltiness enhances the swiss flavor. Bake a little more browning the cheese boosts the flavor more. You might want to try saluted mushroom to the dish. Regular whites are good. But Baby Bellas add a beefier flavor.
Dave , looks delicious & unique again, & yes on my wife & I , I'll have to let you know on the girls as I don't know if they have had french onion mix , keep your stick on the ice pal
Looks terrific, but here's the thing...this dish will make me hard to hang around with 💨💨. I wonder if I could substitute leeks for the onion? Leeks don't have this effect on me! Thanks, Dave!
Oh, that's interesting. LOL. I think you might be able to do that. I'm not too sure about caramelizing them though. Caramelized onions are not as strong. Do they bother you?
@@TheCooknShare I don't really know anything about frozen meatballs I guess I will just look when I go to the store. I will probably end up making them homemade 😂
I would rather use like a baguette instead of bread crumbs since it would be more like french onion soup. Would you fry up the bread first or put it at room temperature?
Good morning these look absolutely delicious Dave...cannot wait to make these over mashed potatoes ❤ have a wonderful Sunday

Tasty.
Thanks, Jonathan.

You got it my friend. Hope you give this one a try.
Can I use french onion soup for this recipe just to cut a few corners.
Great idea.

@@TheCooknShare good point. They bother me less, and I just put up with it! 😅
I was thinking that frozen meatballs might work in this as well. I don't know how they taste, or if they cost a lot but would they work?
Hey, Lynne. Yes, frozen meatballs would work great. I would just be picky about the ones I get. Hope you give this a try and you are well.
@@TheCooknShare I don't really know anything about frozen meatballs I guess I will just look when I go to the store. I will probably end up making them homemade 😂
The great thing about homemade is you can make up a bunch and freeze them. I find they are better and cheaper. Let us know how you make out.
I would rather use like a baguette instead of bread crumbs since it would be more like french onion soup. Would you fry up the bread first or put it at room temperature?
Sure. That's a great idea. I would want the bread a bit crunchy. So, I might toast or bake it first. Hope this helps.
Delicious!!!
I use gloves all the time when touching meat sometimes greasy
Yes. They really help I find.
It was the Best of Shires, it was Worcester Shires.
Lol. You got that right.
Dave , I am going to need that email to you, I can't find it pal, sorry
Sure, Steve. It’s admin@cooknshare.com
@TheCooknShare thank you Dave, I appreciate that pal
