Publicity stunt? They’re literally ambassadors for the South Korean government. This is literally them doing their job. Besides, this press briefing isn’t the entirety of their time at the White House. From what I’ve read, they’re having a private meeting with President Biden as well. Don’t forget that they didn’t ask to come speak, they were invited. Frankly, on that alone I’d say it’s more about positive publicity for the White House than for BTS.

(and there was a translator who converted their words into english for people like you).
