There are many components to blues jam tracks. One resource I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Makale jam plan (check it out on google) definately the most useful course that I've heard of. look at this interesting resource.
Excellent! Just what I've been looking for to keep my chops up. I've been playing over 40yrs with different bands. I do a lot of rock songs with local bands in the Atlanta area, but they don't do much blues. I always like getting back to my roots of harmonica playing. Good stuff!
Thanks, that was fun playing along with. I have played straight harp over ten years, and just recently started cross harp. It seems to just improvise makes a pleasing sound.
Thanks for posting. I'm diggin harpin along with this one. Just completed one of David Barrett's books so I have a bunch of good new 12 bar solos to work with. Nice!
I'VE BEEN RUNNING RUNNING IN THE PARK YOU CAN SEE ME RUNNING RUNNING THROUGH THE LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE EVERY MAN IS LONESOME BUT I'M HAPPY JUST DRINKING MY MOONSHINE FROM A FAR DISTANCE I SEE THE LIGHT I GET ON MY KNEES AND I DO RIGHT WHAT IS WRONG FROM RIGHT WHEN WE JUST LIVE TO DIE I JUST KNOW ONE THING I'M RUNNING RUNNING THROUGH THE LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE X3
iv bin livin off hohner silverstars for a while now and now iv got a marineband its a lot of getting useto because the reeds r not exactly the same size
Hello, first of all: thanks for sharing this back track. Great! May I use my G harmonica ? Or a Key of C? I get confused about which one use .... Thank you. Regards, Pedro.
If you are using a harmonica in the key of G then you will be playing the blues scale in the key of D. The blues scale is 2nd position.1st position is what key the harmonica is in.
I say the harmonica and have for years but just got the idea that I'd like to expand this with some good tips and background music. How can I get your DVD?
use a A that fits. An easy way to memorize what harp you need is to imagine the notes on a Guitar. Just keep the fret and jump one string higher. So E -> jump one string higher: A
I am new to the harmonica , and only have a "Hohner 532/20 MS C Blues Harp" ..... what backing track (as in key of what ?) should I use to play with ? .... I play a little guitar and very little piano .. so I know that the blues is a 1 4 5 , C F G .... so I was thinking maybe in G , cuz I have a C harp ? IDK ... some please help !!!!!
Tattoo Bull if you got a C harp you play GCD progression so its always 1 and 5 where 1 is your harp and count the diatonic scale to 5 like CDEFG so if you have A harp you would be playing EAB progression ok
@hankoless Nope! :P You play all the holes, but you play a tune that is a 4th lower than your harp one.. (ex: if your harp is in C, you play a blues in G)
@elkrobber HELLO...Greeting from Thailand. Im a new guitar guy. I dont understand why you say so about A harmonica. Would you mind let me know. Thank you.
+James Hards From what I read D is first position G in second and C is third... Handy Honer key selection guide I cut it off and taped it to an old gift card.
I love this track. Makes me sound like I actually know what I'm doing!

You can play in G Major or E minor
use a A that fits. An easy way to memorize what harp you need is to imagine the notes on a Guitar. Just keep the fret and jump one string higher. So E -> jump one string higher: A
