My late Grandfather commanded the M48A1 tank during the cleanup in Germany. While the A5 isn’t the exact tank he rode in, it is BY FAR my favourite tank in World of Tanks just because of its personal significance in my life. May he and the tank he drove rest in well deserved pease.
The M48A5 was the first tank I served on in the U.S. Army. I finished my 21-year career on the M1A1D and was much happier as a Jedi Tanker than a Dino Rider. That being said, the M48, M60A3 are still my nostalgic favorites! I have the M48 now and I am a buffoon in it and when I get the 15K bonds I will have the M60 as my second bond tier 10. All things being equal, I WISH TO GOD we could have made shots in the M48 on the move. Just wasn't part of the tank until the M1 computer came into being. In the game I am really enjoying learning how to fight the vehicle and what I can do with it... KEEP THE MASTER CLASS UP!!! Great series!!! Thank you QB!
I used to loved the Patton, and being a good player (2500-3300 recent wn8, 58-60% recent wins, back when I was active) I used to be able to pull off somewhat similar games and the feeling was incredible. One point even being able to hit top 20 players in the Patton on the N/A server, you've given me the urge to get back into playing the Patton and grinding towards a similar loadout!
Personally I’d say it’s a must have if you want an all around useful and fun medium, where you can brawl like a heavy, somewhat, if needed. I love mine, and the M60, oh the Cent also.
M48A5 Parton is an original legend, I miss that with world of tanks.they just throw tanks at us sometimes that are just poorly made and then you have to pay for them

QB back in the day I made up a drill with the NC Army National Guard at Camp Blanding, FL working with a FLARNG armored cavalry troop who was doing main gun firing with their M48A5's. I helped them load the ammo and just filled in doing what needed to be done while getting to watch the 105mm gun going off close by for hours. Great experience for sure. Keep up the good work sir.

i actually really enjoy this, makes me think more abour eqquiment 2.0 and field mods, thanks bc i can see why an commanders vision system is so useful. keep it up!
I would take anything that QB says about equipment and field mods with a huge grain of salt. For example, taking 3% camo over 2km back speed on this tank is just stupid, patton is not a bush tank, those +2km backwards speed when you can pull back in to cover faster will save your ass way more than 3% extra camo. Or putting cvs instead of rammer is even more stupid, rammer is a one thing you want to have on like 95% of the tanks. But in the end of the day there is no such thing as correct setup, just try out bunch of setups and see what do YOU like, but dont think if QB uses it, than its best, if you want to have overall best setup than for most tanks it will be, rammer + some kind of combination of stabs, turbo, hardening.
@@durachoks rammer is great piece of equipment but here is the thing you not always going to be continuously firing in your games very rarely will you be able to. there far more equipment with better utility than the rammer.

When I switched to his build with the turbo OMG it changed the tank for me flat out. Would recommend future tankers put that sucker on. GL HF on the BF!!
I really loved the Master Class series just to show how your thought process on approaching your playstyle with some scenarios in mind based on the maps. A new series I really am looking forward to. Maybe, just as a suggestion, since most of the T-X matchmaking these days only consists of overpowered or at least META tanks like 1115A, 277, Manti, S Conq, etc. I think it would be better for the earlier videos if you do cover mostly the underappreciated tanks, maybe like CentAX, IS-4, 113, AMX30B, etc. It might not be competitive, but some of us do maybe love it too much not to play those tanks. And your insight would be helpful. Keep up the terrible work, QB!
Personally I love my M48A5, as you said it's a damn good all rounder which doesn't feel lacking in any areas, and with the equipment and field modifications it's something that I'm able to have a lot of fun with. I never feel like I perform badly in it, or am held back in any areas, but I will freely agree with you that in 2021 it just often feels outclassed by other stuff. Whether that's the heavy tanks that can pull the same speed but with better armour or guns, or other mediums having the greater maneuverability, there's nothing in the current state of the game that really sells the vehicle barring that it's a good all-rounder. It's a shame, because it's a fun tank that has surprised me more than a few times with what it can do. Excellent video, has given me a couple ideas as to how to improve my own matches and loadouts with it :)

2 things - that ram/kill on the Bourrasque was beautiful to watch, and if only the last 24 hp had been taken by the ram could it have been better. As for the final moments of the Obj 268, I'm thinking he raised his gun at the last moment as a salute - he'd clearly been aiming 'flat' at the friendly tank, and when it got to the last round about to kill him, the barrel went up.
