They're different. Those 3 Nicholas Sparks movies you named (I love all 3 btw) were all meant to be focused on the sad part of things with a sad ending in order to be more truthful to real life. FMG has a sort of modern fairytail like type of vibe with a usual happy ending. I honestly like FMG the most out of all of them, but The Best of Me definitely comes close! Omggg that movie absolutely wrecked me 💔
