Hans, Thank you! The microwave actually worked pretty well. Just be careful and SLOWLY heat the wood. You will actually see the water seam out of the wood. Also a good idea to put the piece on top of a paper towel so help soak up the steam. Cheers and Happy New Year to you.
Those turned out really nice. I had thought of using a microwave but had not tried it other than to kill insects infestations in the blank.. It works well for that.
Dana, thanks very much. I’ll definitely try microwaving another project. I imagine a small bowl will take more time to dry but I believe it’s still an effective process Iif done safely. Just don’t ramp up the time and heat settings too fast. Cheers!

I have used the microwave in the past for a little plant pot. Worked well, but needed to be done slowly.
