@Tim Nur literally just about anyone born past the year 2000 in australia (unless they live out bush or on a farm) talk, act and even are starting to dress just like americans, with the typical blue ripped jeans and high top jordans etc. the australian culture as a whole is dying out the only true blues we have left are the older blokes in their 50's an stuff that were brought up without phones and internet and most likely live remotely. we do have the typical city boy born and bred teenagers or people in their early to mid 20s that want nothing more than to be "true blue" but are nothing more than just disrespectful bogans that want to look a certain way but don't realise how embarrasing it is for them. those are the teens or young adults that'll go out and get a mullet, smash down VB's and pretend they like them, go out almost every 2nd night just to do burnouts in a holden commodore or Ford etc. it's just all over the place.
@BAVILLAIN only difference is that we depended on that back than. We are not caveman anymore. Evolution is a thing, we change with time and so do our needs. I don’t think there is anything wrong with people having and catching/releasing animals, but being stuck in old ages like that is not something we should strive though
@Чайник Безымянный farmed animals are treated pretty poorly in large scale farming. Ever watch Earthlings? Vegan propaganda without a doubt but true nonetheless. Actually turned me vegan for a bit, now I hunt and fish and even eat some roadkill(deer and pheasant I've hit with my car) couldn't let them go to waste. At the end of the day it's a personal choice but I feel better eating something I killed quickly that got to live a life of freedom than eating pre packaged fillets of meat that lived pretty cruel lives(admittedly I can't hunt or fish and garden enough to sustain myself fully in my current situation). Some small scale farming is humane but that's not where the majority of our meat comes from. Just food for thought....
@Ozzies people who are miserable always want to bring others down to their level. The best defense is to remain in your superior essence. And they weren't even scientifically correct. Cuttlefish are highly intelligent lol
@Wombat - And? Gerardo didn't say anything about wanting to know the general speed, intelligence and type of creature that it was. Why do people always find a way to ruin the happiness that others have, by trying to correct them or change their opinion because they don't agree with it... Far out.
this video reminded me of an article i saw a while back. i do remember reading that the article was not the most reliable but it said scientists hypothesized that octopus DNA is in fact extraterrestrial and originated from a meteor that collided with earth. thinking of this as well as their seemingly otherworldly intelligence and biology, i really think that hypothesis is possible and maybe even correct
As an Australian i can confirm this is a sacred ritual of hand catching a squid. After we have caught the squid we celebrate by shotgunning a great northern beer and a nice barbecue cooked steak.
The fact that the octopus hides itself with ink is just so underrated. It's amazing how different animals can be but they always have one thing in common and that's the will to survive
@anthony tadros Ive just spent winter in Croatia catching squid.. theyre super intelligent, and in a cloud of inc, under threat... You aren't even catching an octopus that easy. Let alone a Jet propelled squid ffs
I remember one guy in Australia running to catch something in shallow waters barefoot. He stepped on a stone fish, I will never forget the screams and pain that man went through.
@Pain They are not routinely deadly. There have been VERY few deaths EVER in Australia or the Islands, and no, amputation is not the treatment. In fact they put the wounded limb into water as hot as you can bear, and keep it hot for a couple of hours. And there isn't a specific anti-venom, but there is a general purpose anti-venom that helps.
@Tyler Jaime If asking a question, the way I had asked it, is offensive, then you'll never be ready for the real world my guy, especially considering you weren't the one being asked that question, so here's a question for you. Am I wrong, and if you honestly think that I am, then why?
Never had squid but buddy made a noise like he crossed a delicacy and wasn’t gonna let it escape. Must be nice to actually be able to catch and eat for yourself, lot better then McDonald’s lol
(Apologies for my English) I nearly die trying to catch an octopus. The octopus was below a big rock that was half submerged in the water. Waves were crashing from time to time. When the series of waves finished I crouch to reach the octopus but my chest and head were outside the water. Totally safe I thought. I grab the octopus, but he grabbed my hand. At first I was trying to grab the octopus and pull him out but i couldn't. He decided to grab my hand and stuck himself to the rock. It worked for him. When the series of waves comeback i was desperately trying to pull my hand out. But I couldn't. Waves start crashing on the rock and covering me entirely. I was literally gasping for air due the effort, the fear etc. At one moment my head was completely submerged under the water and i wasn't able to reach for air. I literally thought i will die in the most stupid way. Thank god the octopus decide not to fight anymore. He release me. Literally. Till today, like 35 years later when i'm cooking or eating octopus i stab the motherf*** as many times as i can in the kitchen where nobody can see me and say "ehh motherf*** who is dying now ehhh!!!! I know. I couldn't get over that.
@target realme especially in shallow water there is only tiny octopuses if you want to see a fat one you need to go very very deep with oxygen tanks ...
@Septrisson Philippe even tough a 8y.o is plenty strong to get up from an octopus the thing has no bones juste little succion cups under its tentancles yes it can wrap arpund you pretty well but no way its strong enough to prevent you from getting up ...
great story mate! got a good laugh from it. glad you're around to tell that story, it could have gone wrong quite easily. gotta live that live and have couple stories to tell! it's sad that some people live so boring lives that they think this couldn't possibly be true. sheltered people are very boring and act up on slightest inconvenience, like presented here. a mere story got them howling 'not true, not true!', laughable. cheers mate 👍🏻
I love the outdoors when we were kids. We just spend all day every weekend in the mountains while mom and dad were hunting. And in the end of the day, mom would track us when it was time to go home. Kids today don't know how it's like going out and have fun. They just sit on their gaming chair and chug mountain dew and awaiting cancer, stroke, and diabetes.
@Woodsman It's all Squid varieties, the hooks are there in different sizes for different species, and some of them have exchanged the hooks for a ring of teeth in every sucker. Octopi are not the same as Squid even though they both have tentacles.
I would never in a million years run through water in Australia like that, the amount of things that will ANNIHILATE you from stepping on them is insane.
I went to Shark Bay back in 2003, swallowed15 Ritalin pills and spent 12 hours chasing squid along the beach. By around 3am i had a sack of squid and felt like a cave-man.
This is called luck ladies and gentlemen. He can catch ANYTHING this guy, obviously 😂but that squid could easily have gone in any other direction. It ran right in front of and into his hands. Great... no, LEGENDARY catch.
Australians are simply bred different haha 😆
It's just a squid bro what are you on about
They’re literally just like hillbillies here in the US lol atleast when I comes to primative hunting and a few other things
Umm ok then ..... Other people from other countries can do that ..... 😅
Never met an Aussie that cared about losing limbs😂
You're the kind of kid that was serious when he told his friends he would catch his food with his bare hands in the wild.
My dudes concentration was so good he predicted the future for a sec
@Jay bros profile picture is seriously just the steam logo 😂
first time seeing the steam logo as a pfp
that’s quite literally what he did. and when u realize how intelligent and vigilant octopi are, this guy is insane
What is it, a squid?
@Jay ong
My boy is running barefoot on jagged rocks at full speed…
Built different
Want about to comment on zat
How do you know he isn’t wearing wadding boots? I can’t see feet in this
When you think about it, the water kind of cushions the blow.
You saw his feet?
Built different. Built Aussie.
Aussies are really just highly evolved Floridians
@Zane Jules duval
As a Floridian I can confirm that we eventually evolve into Australians
🤣🤣
Which part of Florida is y'all from ?
4TH
Damn, my guy has to have the grip of a gymnast
He is what humans were meant to be
he is what humans used to be, we evolved
@Lil Ms. GM lol right? I thought humans were made to box
@BAVILLAIN only difference is that we depended on that back than. We are not caveman anymore. Evolution is a thing, we change with time and so do our needs. @ChainikB absolutely. If you're doing only what you need to do to live. You're not living. You're just surviving.
This guy is the type that would survive during an apocalypse
@My Name Is 😂😂
Thrive*
"Yeah that fockin zombie mate, he tried to fockin baite me, so i fockin bit him ferst"
Idk, something tells me they are not related
"Australians are just Brits that are far into the tech tree. And we did it through crime."
Send them to Australia for these Thirteen Crimes! Lol
Nope
Badger
This is the officially the wildest thing I’ve seen anyone do on video, I’m flabbergasted.
Never seen the dude toss cobras and pimp slap a few huh
@Luis GarciaDoesn’t sound as impressive as catching a squid with your bare hands tbh
You must not watch many videos
Did that squid yelp! ?
I be doing this in Minecraft all the time it’s nothing
These creatures are just mind blowing, such majestic animals, amazing how they can run in rocks and track marine life. Gotta love
Australians 😂💀
@Wombat the point of your comment?
@Ozzies people who are miserable always want to bring others down to their level. The best defense is to remain in your superior essence. And they weren't even scientifically correct. Cuttlefish are highly intelligent lol
@Wombat - And? Gerardo didn't say anything about wanting to know the general speed, intelligence and type of creature that it was.
Why do people always find a way to ruin the happiness that others have, by trying to correct them or change their opinion because they don't agree with it... Far out.
Cuttlefish which r like squid r slow and bloody stupid
I think its so cool how squids spray ink and then turn themselves black to blend in with the ink. Amazing creatures wow.
These creatures are amazing, using their ink as a camo and waiting for chances to escape.
@Jo Hnthat’s a lie you should 1v1 a tiger
They actually use it to hide their smell🤓☝️
this video reminded me of an article i saw a while back. i do remember reading that the article was not the most reliable but it said scientists hypothesized that octopus DNA is in fact extraterrestrial and originated from a meteor that collided with earth. thinking of this as well as their seemingly otherworldly intelligence and biology, i really think that hypothesis is possible and maybe even correct
@Jo Hn CDC entered the chat
@TurgidBanana you sound sad
As an Australian i can confirm this is a sacred ritual of hand catching a squid. After we have caught the squid we celebrate by shotgunning a great northern beer and a nice barbecue cooked steak.
This video carried the same energy as using your special ability early and realizing you're about to get cooked.
Bro out here catching sea monsters like fkn Pokemon
Well he ran out of Pokéballs. So he had to hold it till they got to a PokéMart or Poké Stop.
@Slugr126 you can't read I said that's one way not the way lol
@amado gaure no its not common to catch them like this at all
Squiddle😂
Bro was just galloping thru shallow water he's a menace😭😭
The fact that the octopus hides itself with ink is just so underrated. It's amazing how different animals can be but they always have one thing in common and that's the will to survive
Its a Billy the kid
@Slappy and they cant swim with theyr tetacles forward, so we all know its faked !
It's a squid.
I cannot believe that he managed to catch one of the fastest animals in the sea, threatened and bare handed
@anthony tadros Ive just spent winter in Croatia catching squid.. theyre super intelligent, and in a cloud of inc, under threat... You aren't even catching an octopus that easy. Let alone a Jet propelled squid ffs
@Dwayne Jordan I still don't
Goes to show y we at the top of the food chain. Not shit destroying us but ourselves 💯
You forgot he was an Aussie
@Dwayne Jordan 💯
"I built this nigga different"
-GOD
My dude grazed the ink as if he was saying, “ these tracks are fresh.. it couldn’t have gone far🧐” and then proceeded to catch it😂
Steve Irwin is smiling down from heaven.. 🦑
@Wet Shart we don’t know what he did in his free time 👹
@Wet Shart Damn i was too late. I was about to comment that haha
What this got to do with Steve Irwin, he died from a sting ray not a squid lol
@SpriteSouth Park thinks he went to hell
Bro's snatching up that squid like it's subnautica
Lmaoooo even as a blue blooded American, I gotta say…. I got mad love and respect for my Aussie brothers!! Y’all are wild as f boi
Impressive, even the squid wasn't prepared to be lifted out of the water while still spitting ink 🦑
Giant cuttlefish, squidwards cousin.
It's cuttlefish, not a squid
Drowned in the transition 😂😂😂( no homo)
Well, that was pretty badass and awesome. The way he sort of picked up or ran his fingers through some of the ink was like something out of a movie.
He runs like a game character in first person view.
Mans just turned into to bloodhound in the matter of 2 seconds
*inkhound
😂😂 I feel sorry for people that don't get this
Bruh
@Bob bro took te name literally 💀
You are brave as hell running in a tide pool like that bro.
Mate, you are on a whole other level. I've been squidding for a while and I'd kill to be that skilled!
BBC: Squids have ten time faster reaction time than humans
This guy:
@Alintorite we where at the verge of greatness
The likes are at 420, NO ONE touch the like button
@Spencer Christie nicely said
Only 10x faster than donut and hot dog conditioned humans!
BRO I NEED THE WHOLE VERSION THIS COMPLETED MY SOUL 😭
Cameramen never die
Fuck mate that’s incredible speed to catch a squid like that.
Giant cuttlefish
Right ??? Did he even see it ? He was on POINT
Now thats some primal caveman energy
No words, just grunts of excitement and constant vigilance 😆
I remember one guy in Australia running to catch something in shallow waters barefoot. He stepped on a stone fish, I will never forget the screams and pain that man went through.
@SecondaryGroupother people have already said this, what's the point in copying their replies just to further insult someone?
@Pain it is an article that came out in 2021 and no deaths up to that point. Reading comprehension is a course you can take.
@Seevan Maroge Don't forget pests called kangaroos
Okay. This felt like I was watching someone streaming his game while doing a random quest 😂
When you live in a country where literally any bug could kill you, you just have to be this sharp lmao
Australia people have hands and balls of steel
Yeah but lacking in the Brain Department 😢😢😢😢😢
And feet
Definetly those squids are ferocious beast
That has to be one of the most fascinating defence mechanisms in the animal kingdom
You can imagine how goddamn good early humans got at shit like this when they had to do it everyday to survive.
@Every topic of topic and things big scary man
@Tyler Jaime Thats what I thought
@Every topic of topic and things I’m sorry please forgive me Dad
@Tyler Jaime If asking a question, the way I had asked it, is offensive, then you'll never be ready for the real world my guy, especially considering you weren't the one being asked that question, so here's a question for you. Am I wrong, and if you honestly think that I am, then why?
Guy got some guts
Freakn impressive. Check out the danglers on this fella, caveman style aquatic farming
Nice catch bro! Them little bastards are quick!
wowzers
Never had squid but buddy made a noise like he crossed a delicacy and wasn’t gonna let it escape.
Must be nice to actually be able to catch and eat for yourself, lot better then McDonald’s lol
Sea urchins just chilling somewhere.
Some dude just destroying one with his bare foot.
Good times
This is what backyard cricket as a kid growing up in Australia prepares you for.
Then my Caribbean ass will be very good at this
He's barefoot on THAT, and I can barely walk across my lawn without socks and shoes!!
That guy probably had to turn on the heat seeking predator senses to see that cloaking squid in it's ink bomb, Australians man they eat anything 🤣🤣🤣
That was Fuckin crazy !! U caught it mide dash/swim !!You’re a goddamn legend mate
Change my mind Australians are the main cast of a movie where theres a zombie apocalypse or a wild ahh apocalyse
Wow! Never seen a squid ink itself like that. That’s amazing. What a great hider

Thank you for the story!
They’re actually so much fun to watch, i played with a rainbow cuttlefish fish for hours once, it was super friendly haha 😅❤
Love these creatures, bare feet over rocks even thumbs like humans, Aussie Upright Opictus
We need an Auzzie WildBoyz show on MTV like the good ol dayz , am i roight, fellaz?
Bruuuuh out here just doing what catch nets dooo and shit, in the wild
Damn, that dude had the digi threat 😂
Unbelievable. He wasn’t poking and hoping. Knew exactly where the bloke was. Smoothie B!
skill... pure skill..... Hats off to you!
Bro is living that caveman life
Content I didn’t know I needed to see
Damn, humans are definitely the octopus in the sea of universe.

We forget that squids have evolved to have their own natural smokescreen 😂
I would have just waited to perhaps watch squid swim away. Kudos for that epic catch though. If you didn't let it go I hope that calamari was nice.
See now this is a man who can say “back then we had to catch fish with our bare hands”
My dude caused a BP oil spill.😂
Shallowwater horizon
Bro a young blood who catches fish, he getting his Roos out the hood
I feel like this man is my long lost brother. I used to walk barefoot in the swamps looking for snapping turtles with my feet. 😂
W H A T
Just remember that Squids don't have suckers on their tentacles, they have SHARP HOOKS that will rip your skin off.
@Sam the beginning of time.
@Sam since forever
@TheBlueStig Very interesting, ig you learn something new everyday. Cheers
@Woodsman It's all Squid varieties, the hooks are there in different sizes for different species, and some of them have exchanged the hooks for a ring of teeth in every sucker. Octopi are not the same as Squid even though they both have tentacles.
I believe that only applies to collosal squids and not cuttlefish.
I would've definitely missed that meal 😂 great catch
Homies intuition is on point
Wow , what a catch Brodie 🤙🏼👏🏼
I would never in a million years run through water in Australia like that, the amount of things that will ANNIHILATE you from stepping on them is insane.
I went to Shark Bay back in 2003, swallowed15 Ritalin pills and spent 12 hours chasing squid along the beach. By around 3am i had a sack of squid and felt like a cave-man.
Lmfao I need to drink a couple beers with this dude 😂
Just to hear some stories
The Squid knew where a Blue Ringed Occi was lurking, and hoped you were going to get bit.
This is called luck ladies and gentlemen. He can catch ANYTHING this guy, obviously 😂but that squid could easily have gone in any other direction. It ran right in front of and into his hands. Great... no, LEGENDARY catch.
You juiced him at the end bro he inked again😂
My mans a f***ing apex predator.
Well. I've never seen ink from that fresh perspective. Today I learned that it would creep me out like seaweed patches do.
Timing Was Flawless,,,
Grip was Spot-on,,,,10/10 ,,,Much Respect 🙏
That's crazy. Nature gave scuttlebutts, octopi and squids ink and said "see what you can do widdit, we don't even know the possibilities 🤓"
That was a skilled catch
Florida man ventured out to new waters I see.
My man is not even scared of stepping on a sea urchin
I caught one down in Alabama golf shores. That ink will never come out if it gets your shirt 😂
My god, the suspense! I didn't know what was happening but I was hoping you'll succeed!
This is the most alpha male thing I've ever seen
the way he puts two fingers in the ink and rubs them like he’s in a movie lmao
This guys like Steve Irwin reincarnated love him
Man's first reflex was to catch it.
Be extremely careful running through the water like that, that is a super easy way to step on a ray
Love my Aussie brothers!!!
반응속도 미쳣다
Bro is the last ever forbidden human species in this world. I'm talking about ansisters.
Where are the vids of you on your boat doing your magic mate? Miss those.
Dude... imagine the squids perspective. Like here you are chillen then this giant, scaring the shit out of you, scoops you out of your reality.
