- Through the first two games of the Conference Finals, the Nuggets had given L.A. all they the could handle. In Game 3 Denver caught a bad break when their best player and top scorer Alex English broke the thumb on his shooting hand and was forced to sit out the rest of the series. Denver won the next game but when both teams headed back to The Forum, the L.A. Greyhounds smelled blood in the water and went for the kill. Not only did they have a 23-point lead by halftime but their leader Magic Johnson had broken the NBA's All-Time playoff assist record (previously held by former Laker great Jerry West). The end result was a 153-109 slaughter and a shot at redemption against the Boston Celtics.
please add more of the Magic Man!
doug moe saying "doug moe stuff"
After less than 6 seasons in the league (actually 5, because he was injured in the '81 playoffs), he already became the all-time playoff assists leader... unbelievable.
some guy cussed out earl strom?
+Blondes are from Heaven Doug Moe Lol
Classic Doug Moe!
Magic is an assist GOD
Magic is still the playoff assists leader. Both total assists and average (12.3 per game). Another stat, James Worthy averaged 70% from the floor for the series.
Best point guard ever ,ever ,awesome .🛸🛸
Look at the fast break starting at 1:09. In less than 4 seconds the ball travels nearly the length of the court and only gets bounced twice, showing us just how devastating the Showtime fast break was.
great vid more magic johnson!!!
Long live Magic Johnson
