Thank you for giving us the opportunity to hear your lecture, Richard. It's so kind of you to share your knowledge and experience with us all. Very much appreciated. It's always good to hear from you!
Hi Richard! Thank you so much for sharing your talk. I'm coming to London next week to visit the St.Pauls/Greenwich exhibitions, hope to see you there!
Such a fascinating subject, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Always makes me wonder what mudlarks/archaeologists will think of the things we leave behind - ancient Ikea anyone?! Thanks again 🙂
Thank you for providing me the chance to hear your lecture from the Guild Hall. I really appreciate all of your knowledge. I of course have your book and refer to it all the time. Please make more videos, i really look forward to them! Big fan! Thank you again!
Hello Richard! This is a fine video,a perfect companion to your book,”Sherd”, a 598 page masterpiece. I don’t know how you did that,it is a tome of legendary proportions. I shall be in Londinium in a few weeks, perhaps we shall cross paths at the maritime museum! What’s it like to be a genius? 🤣
I would like to tell you a story from last year,my very first excursion onto the foreshore. I made a promise,to that River,I said to the Thames”,”Please be generous to me,whatever I find first,I shall lay it back down,I will not take it.” My very first lark,it was a bit of that green ware,I think. I handled it,appreciated it,but fulfilled my promise, and set it back down. Seconds later,I found a pipe bowl dating back to 1620. I captured it on video, truly, one of the highlights of my life!! The River delivered on my promise.

Lastly,I own a pipkin,,I bake my beans and cheese at least once a week in it.
It is a vessel to be cherished.
That's very kind, Charles, thank you! I will be at the Greenwich event both days, so I'm sure we will meet up. Best wishes, Richard

Please show the pottery in longer shots so we can look at it for more than a few seconds. We know what you look like.
