Thank you, I have been so busy writing my book (and posting my book, I am encouraged by its success) - no time for mudlarking or video making!

Such a fascinating subject, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Always makes me wonder what mudlarks/archaeologists will think of the things we leave behind - ancient Ikea anyone?! Thanks again 🙂

Hello Richard! This is a fine video,a perfect companion to your book,”Sherd”, a 598 page masterpiece.
I don’t know how you did that,it is a tome of legendary proportions.
I shall be in Londinium in a few weeks, perhaps we shall cross paths at the maritime museum!
What’s it like to be a genius?
    🤣

I would like to tell you a story from last year,my very first excursion onto the foreshore.
I made a promise,to that River,I said to the Thames”,”Please be generous to me,whatever I find first,I shall lay it back down,I will not take it.”
My very first lark,it was a bit of that green ware,I think.
I handled it,appreciated it,but fulfilled my promise, and set it back down.
Seconds later,I found a pipe bowl dating back to 1620.
I captured it on video, truly, one of the highlights of my life!!
The River delivered on my promise.

Lastly,I own a pipkin,,I bake my beans and cheese at least once a week in it.
It is a vessel to be cherished.
