I still find it hilarious that Clint Howard is Ron Howard's brother. Especially given how Clint seems to play so many out there roles.
I like to think when Clint Howard is cast in movies, they just put him on the set with no script and they just film whatever he does.

This film is amazing. Seth Green, Clint Howard and old school pratical low budget monsters. Rance howard is Clint Howard's father. Like The Hidden, I wouldn't really consider this to be a bad film. It's a B movie and in interviews while making the director and writer mentioned it wasn't supposed to be taken seriously. Reminds me in way of Sundown: The Vampire in retreat (Bruce campbell fighting vampire david Carradine)/

YES YES YES!!!! 90s Gooey practical effects laden direct-to-video monster movies! That shit's my jam!!! I've wanted you guys to do some of those for a while (I know you've done Mosquito and Elves). But this one's a favorite of mine! I have The Vinegar Syndrome print! It was a pleasant surprise seeing this one from the gang come up in my "Watch Next" list!
To Erin: Sorry it wasn't your thing! There are definitely better ones down the road, with goo certainly, but maybe less gross out factor.

I think about this film so much more often than I should. When I was younger I was shocked to see Carlton turning into a giant tick. It's such a bad movie, but somehow more known actors than other films of it's quality lol. You are doing the lords work.

Met Peter Scolari (Chuck) once in Calgary at a farmers' market. He was shooting Honey I Shrunk the Kids, the TV series.
I remember this film. Gory it is and funny at the same time. I remember laughing for a good 10 mins when one of those ticks got into Carlton Banks.
And the best thing about this film....
There's no CGI.
Rance Howard is Clint and Ron Howard's dad and is the older guy that's briefly in the movie. He has been in various shows and movies with or for both of his sons. The movie was loaded with some current and future TV stars.

Another great episode guys. If you're up to doing another thriller/horror/sci-fi mess, I cannot recommend "Deadly Friend" enough. And I know someone already sent it to you. Two words: "basketball scene."
I barely remember that movie but I will always remember that scene.
You guys really remind me of us back in the day. We'd sit around Sat afternoons "tuning up" for the evening watching old cheese on the local UHF station. We hated on things like The Giant Claw, Zontar, Curse of the Swamp Creature, but the camaraderie and dynamic was the same.

I remember seeing this on late-nite cable in the 90s, and the only thing I can recall about it other than Alfonso and Seth being in it was how gloriously gross it was. I grew up playing in the woods, and it was a thing for me and my friends to check ourselves for ticks before we went in for the day.

I remember i was like 10 when this came out and my friend saw it first and the only thing i remember him telling me about this movie is Carlton from fresh prince turns into a giant Tick at the end and i was like "sold" lol so for this entire reaction all i was saying to myself was wait till they see Carlton turn into the giant tick lol love this film wish they made a few sequels, Erin's reaction is priceless lol

Rance Howard was Ron and Clint's father. He was in Ricou Browning's The Amazing Mr No-Legs which I think someone sent you. Dad was on the Gentle Ben set obviously. Great book about the Howads called "The Boys". (Correction: he was in the cast of Gentle Ben for 32 episodes)
