I know snow must be so mundane to you guys, but it was absolutely beautiful to me! Everyone seemed to be having a great time with all the winter outdoor activities. Seeing all the cousins reminded me of my own childhood fun with my cousins, minus all that snow.

Dear Bennett, Happy Birthday! I am a December birthday also. My Dad always had the tree up by my birthday. AND my parents always made sure birthday and Christmas were separate celebrations. Except, maybe, the year I got my first “big girl bike”. I was twelve! I rode it around and around the house. Love to all Hamms. 🥰🥰🤗
That is so fun! He decided to combine birthday and Christmas this year with a big mountain bike. He got a few other gifts too but we try to make sure to really celebrate both. Hooray for December birthdays!
Same for me ! My birthday is the 15 th. Combined when I was 12 for a bike but usually my parents made sure I was recognized separately. Love having a birthday near when we celebrate Jesus birthday!

When I was little my folks had a lot on what I remember as “Shirley Lake” nearby that area. They sold it in the late 70s or early 80s. It’s been a long, long time so I mostly just remember beautiful midnight sunsets, loons, and lots a lots of delicious blueberries.

Great ideas! No moose or other game meat can be served in restaurants, but they do serve local fish and seafood.
