It’s sacrifices not everyone can take 34s at home if no freight is near also I’m using reefer as a example but they won’t give you good miles if they know your going home the following week your looking at 4K-4.5k miles in 2 weeks

Everyone situation is different. Usually leasing through companies is much less profitable than buying and financing a truck even if takes longer to secure a loan.
Get out of that lease ASAP, you are just paying for their fuel and truck payment while they make all the revenue, but I guess you’ll find out when is Tax day. Work as a company driver first, save money to give a good down payment for your own truck and get your authority, don’t rush it.

My teammate and I were consistently having 5500 to 7k miles weekly with airfreight drop and hooks coast to coast every week. The amount the drivers get paid for that kind of work is horrendous though. I wouldn't recommend it. We took home about 1800-2k weekly a piece from 1.08 a miles to the truck. Swift made absolute bank off us. They tried to keep us happy, but it seems like happiness to all larger carriers is anything except more money to the drivers. Be safe out there mane.

Mega Co. only interest is PROFIT for them! not you! when you call them tell us the Driver Code you have to give, that shows how much they care! You own nothing but pay for everything! can you get your own freight? can you get your own customers? do you decide on price?! great for getting your own truck and working hard but to say you are doing better than owner operators since swift helps you out is silly l.. i run the spot market and all my equipment is paid for.. i can gross 10k a week in 3k miles .. i keep all of it. if you in the hole then you break down for a few weeks, my man you will be out of business. if you can't even fill up your tanks every time and you are having to calculate how much you need from point a to pint b then your not doing that good. and i've been trucking 18 months, never drove for anyone, i worked 16 years on drilling rigs so it's not like i'm a veteran.
How do find loads in spot market ? How easy is it ? I can buy a 2020 Volvo truck for $80k and you say i can make $10k every week ? How much goes to insurance, repairs, maintenance and gas ?

I stay weeks at a time and just run recaps when it's time to do a reset I go home.
