Cheers Daf. It was a grey old day but the first time I've caught a carrier in UK. Shame they didn't get any of those F-18s through the loop thought - boooo!
Awesome video of an awesome machine and a timely reminder of what those who wish us ill will face should they choose to act. Reminds me of what is written in the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola: "four-and-a-half acres of sovereign U.S. territory, anytime, anywhere".
I've been on the Enterprise, Midway, and Hornet. If this ship is ever available for a walk around tour...I will be there. I've also been on the historic Iowa and Missouri. All are truly impressive.!
Tremendous news. I was there in 2016 when the last strike group rolled into the Solent while doing my MSc abroad. What you see on the outside is a fraction of its capability and pales in comparison to the Chinese frigates they send over into the harbour lol - NATO strong.
Mach 12? No, no they haven't. The SR71 maxed out above Mach 3 in thin atmosphere and even then the thermal expansion caused it to lengthen by inches. If the F14 deviated from straight, pretty much at all, while travelling at Mach 12 the G-forces would've ripped it apart.
Gerald Ford, as a person, was sort of a joke, not seeming to be too smart, and prone to accidents, like trips and falls. As an American, I wonder whether this ship is “prone to accidents”.
I'm sure many people would disagree with you there bro. What makes you think anything is going to get through its defences, not least the defences of the fleet it sails with?
With the development of longer range fighters, accompanying drones, ship to shore missiles, and stand off launched missiles ,the anti-ship battery will be a pile of junk before any ships come in range.
To each his own opinion. How do you come upon that assumption? Do you have more information than the United States Navy or the British Navy or the Chinese Navy?
Recent events in the Red Sea show how difficult it is to penetrate the defensive systems of US and allied naval vessels, especially the Aegis combat system. Granted, there were no modern hypersonic missiles engaged, but defending against drones is not an easy task.
A most impressive ship, one of the freedom of navigation U. S. Navy ships defending open sea lanes throughout the world. Thanks for making this great video. Love to all from the United States. Slava Ukraini. 🇬🇧🇺🇲🇺🇦🦏🌎

Thanks for the additional information. Most of these vids just say, "Look at the big ship!" and nothing more.
You're welcome Michael. Those took ages to make so I appreciate the comment 👍
One Of The Safest Place On Earth .. Rename This Ship !! I Wish They Would Gerald Ford ...

Awesome! 😎
What a fantastic video. So well done! Straight to favorites.
Thanks JJ. Very kind of you to say so 👍
Length of GR Ford is 1106 ft, not 1092 ft. The Nimitz-class are 1092 ft.
You are right sir!
Thank you for the proper. specifications.
I was lucky to see it over there, Been on the ferry to IOW. It was huge...
Nice! Did you managed to get the tour? We went with Solent Cruises and they were absolutely great 👍
Wow very nice aircraft carrier
She is not just a ship. She is our home. And all we believe, is made in her 🇺🇸❤
Tremendous news. I was there in 2016 when the last strike group rolled into the Solent while doing my MSc abroad. What you see on the outside is a fraction of its capability and pales in comparison to the Chinese frigates they send over into the harbour lol - NATO strong.
I agree. It's an absolute behemoth! 😎
Vive Usa
Great Video
Great video well done. I’ll be back for more!
You're welcome, thanks for the comment BK 👍
Epic, that's all I have to say,
Since no enemies want to attack our land, you don't even have to travel, we will bring your destruction to you, how accommodating is that.🇺🇸
1092 ft is the length of the Nimitz class, 1106 ft is the length of the Ford class.
Thanks for the correction 👍
Right On Go Army!
Now if Britton and Germany will hold up there end of the deal we won't be worrying about China or Russia.
The UK is. Germany not so much
@@FranklinBurns42 Jeremy Hunt said on the 17th that the UK is hedging on their commitment to increase defense spending to 3% of GDP.
And guess what? 300 men were smoking on that ship and its still afloat. What do you think of that Russia? Do you like that?
And, not a single flying tank turret to be found!! 😏
Fantastic
Tuyệt Đỉnh Của Chóp Chất Lượng Cao 🎉🎉❤❤❤
What are the squares embedded into the mast? Thanks.
AESA radar arrays
Tomcats have performed over 12x speed of sound since the 1980s. Northrop Grumman has been secretive. What do you think we have now.

Imagine you go fishing 10 miles off shore lower the line and bait into the water and the USS Ford slides by you scraping the side of your 12 footer,
That'd ruin your day. Or maybe make your day, depending on how you look at it! 😂😂😂
Super 👍
Also armed with the best pilots in the world.
Bravo USA
It's weird to see so much rust already, on the latest & greatest warship.
Salt water rusts everything pretty quickly. Plus it’s been in the water for 7 years at this point
Th is the captain speaking I am no captain but I think this will go up to the captain chair I heard that is that about right
You'd have to have some conviction sitting in the captain's chair of this monster! 😎
I think those cannisters all.over the side aer inflatable life boats??
Really? I guess that'd make sense for such a massive ship.
They are inflatable rafts they hold up to 25 per raft
The Titanic has got nothing on this ship.
Let’s hope that this ship has better luck than the Titanic had.
👍🐣
Bendiciones 🙏

Let’s hope not eh?!
A bit like Kamala, eh?
🎉😅🎉
Obsolete with today's anti-ship missiles. The day of the carrier is over, but they don't know it......yet.

Let me guess, the hypersonic Russian missile will get it, right?😂
