Harry Riser- Where magicians used to work

Indianapolis magic legend Harry Riser. I thought that many magicians would be interested in Harry's incredible stories of his life in magic and his friendships with Dai Vernon, Charlie Miller, Ed Marlo, Slydini, Alex Elmsley, and many others. So, I've posted them here for all to enjoy.

Thanks so much. I had the pleasure to see Harry perform at the Midwest Magic Jubilee in 1978 or thereabouts. He did a Linking Rings onstage using just 3 rings and also a routine with a ball and cone. He astonished most of the magicians in attendance with this. He also performed close-up and was kind enough to mingle as well that wonderful weekend.

You possibly saw his excellent 3 rings routine that he included in his book ' Secrets of an escamoteur''. I always preferred ring routines with a larger number of rings but the ''Riser rings'' made me open my mind. Mr. Riser's ring routine can be mysterious for the spectators.
