@@ismacom Never heard the wraith, but the U12a is very quiet. The stock Intel cooler replaced was immensely louder and caused thermal throttling quickly.
@@OfficialGundem Everything I have read says it will and I plan to pair it with a 13700k soon enough. As long as you have a case with good airflow it should be good. I have the Bequiet 802 with mesh panels and 6x140mm fans and it's works out great
D15s supports additional cooler, brackets are in there. adding second 120mm (bought separately) may make it perform on par with D15, because they are basically the same coolers with symmetric and asymmetric design.
Noctua was supposed to release an upgraded 140mm fan ala 12x25 style which would theoretically put the cooler farther ahead (just like they updated the NH-U12a with the 12x25 fan)
Así es! ya que el U12A le quitó el puesto al D15, ahora con la actualización de los ventiladores el D15 volverá a ser el rey, pero no por mucho 😅 el U12A le pelea y por muy poco menos en $, yo lo compré es una belleza
I have the Noctua d15 and have to say its a mammoth of a cooler . It really cools and is difficult to get the temp up of my 7000 series AMD cpu. For me its a maintenance free cooler what is what I was looking for. The drawback like pointed out in the video is the center fan obviously fits perfect but the other fan interferes with the ASUS TUF plug housing that is toward the rear of the unit. Moving the fan to the front over the memory sticks doesnt work either with short standard size memory, not tall. A fan will work on either side but you will need to purchase a smaller separate fan. Over the memory it will stuck out past the case about 1 inch. Again with the short standard memory it works fine. The only other concern I have is what is not noted here in the video but its the WEIGHT of the cooler. Again, it is humongous and with that comes weight. At the moment it is fine but for me to feel comfortable I am going to install some kind of support to help out over the years that I will use it. I dont plan to open my standard ATX case also dont plan on having a side glass panel. Again I wanted a large cooler that works with anything I will throw at it and a cooler that is a set it and forget it...... I am please with the cooler. I ran some cpu stress test , nothing major , and the temp only raised about 8 degrees. The CPU runs at 32 c all day long.
Dark Rock Pro 4. I am still deciding whether to install before installing the motherboard in case or after. I know you mentioned the choice. Which is usually better? Both options seem to have the possibility to be difficult for a few things such as motherboard screw or attaching middle fan. I am leaning towards installing after the motherboard is in the case. Then one of the coolers screws may be tricky and possibly the middle fan.
It depends if the board has a 'high' top slot or not - position 1 closest to the CPU socket, basically. But not a lot of people know there's even a difference in the D15 and D15S cold plate offset.
Which CPU Air cooler you recommend for gigabyte B560m Aorus pro ax inteL Lga 1200? i will use i5-11600k (i will not overlocking) i just play games not video streaming or editing
Wow, so the NH-U12A and the NH-D15S have almost the same performance. I did get the NH-D15S chromax.black, then replaced the stock fan with a 140mm Coolermaster MF140 ARGB fan and added an MF120 ARGB. I haven't compared its performance with the included stock fan though.
dark rock pro 4 always wins because of the screwdriver
it wins because you can use it in your bedroom 😁
Your guides are just unbelievable. Keep up the good work 🤟
I like the NH-U12A that is now in the Chromax Black. It's an excellent all around cooler without being overly huge.
I just got that for my pc, it isn't overly huge and perfectly fits with everything else I have in my case
@@jcspotter7322 what about the noise level?? Compared, if so, with some original cooler like AMD Wraith? Thanks!
can it cool a 13700K without issues?

Спасибо, сударь. I wish D15 would allow taller RAM modules because 32mm clearance is basically nothing nowadays. But благодарю for the tip!

Replaced a dying AIO with the Noctua NH-D15S recently, couldn't be happier.
Great Video ! Thank you so much ! Just got the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 with a Ryzen 5800x cant wait to see the performance!
You deserve to have a big audience. Great videos, I'm building my first PC now because of you in part. Thank you so much.
Great comparison. Might be the only in depth test that includes both Noctua dual fan coolers. I’m torn between the 2.

Thank you for the detailed cooler guide.
Best guide on the net for sure. Well done and thank you!

I changed it few weeks ago...
Best review I've seen. Thank you

The mATX GPU compatibility depends a lot on the motherboard. For example, the D15 is compatible with MSI's b550m Mortar, which is what I use.

The video was very helpful.
whats the difference between the 1155 and the 1700 washer Please? On the NH-D15.

Best air cooler for cpu 12/13 gen ?
Depends on the exact CPU, the deepcool AK620 is high on the list though.

Did you just downgrade the Noctua fans for the CoolerMaster just for the RGB? *SMH*
how can you do a video like this and not also show noise levels ?????
Because accurately and meaningfully measuring noise levels requires space and equipment we don't have.
@@BuildPickeryeah, like your ears.
Noctua NH-D15S or U12A ? Better ?
If you can fit the D15S, it's the better option.
@@BuildPicker Thank you ! I'll take the D15S for my i5-16000k then ;)
I chose the ak620, high-end performance, not high-end price.
