Have I commented on this before? Oh well. If so, it deserves another. Beck is my favorite quirky, brilliant, cool artist. Just love his unabashed enthusiasm for what he's doing. And oh, the swagger. Genius. If I was sitting in the front of that audience I'd be getting down and grooving!
debra is one of the BEST beck songs ever and this is probably one of the best versions of it i've seen ever! i saw it performed for years live before it was released on Midnight Vultures. a beck classic!!
Damn! Still as relevant today. I saw the Midnite Vultures’ tour and was so blown away by his blend of soul, funk and humor. I had never heard of Beck in 1999 and this was his seventh album. Over two decades later, he still blows my head off.
Still my favorite beck song. Member hearing it for the first time on the radio when I was helping my dad build a wall at his church lol. It stuck with me
You can really feel how he really, really wants to get with her (and her sister too). He didn't just think about it! He cold stepped to her and told her flat out he wants to get with the both of them. Her name doesn't even matter...he just wants to get with her. Period!
Just happened to think of this ole tune tonite for some weird reason and that took me here. I never seen this video b4 so it was sorta a cool trip to watch. He was a funky little dude but sure could hit some gnarly notes str8 up outta those funky little lungs of his via his heart & soul first -- and that's a compliment from me! At the time, late 90s, when this was a new CD this tune was just some little filler song that didn't do that much until I played it a few times cranked up. That's when it kinda grabs your own heart and soul, if you know what I mean. I had his Midnight Vultures CD back then and played the crap out if it of course, along with others like Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers among other during that slice of time. Smash Mouth? Lenny Kravitz? Remember a group call Len? Time flys!
This song owes me child support
lol, i hope they doing good
Underrated comment
brilliant. we're so lucky to have him.

I'm going to buy a Hyundai now.
Man...he did NOT phone this in.
This show is from 1997, not 1999. Debra was indeed recorded on Midnite Vultures, but it was part of Beck's live shows long before he recorded it.
Dropping knowledge
Still my favorite beck song. Member hearing it for the first time on the radio when I was helping my dad build a wall at his church lol. It stuck with me
Step inside my Hyundai
"Step inside my Hundai" ...
Love the shit out of Beck and my fav song "Debra!" R&B tribute goof...

YES! This is one of my UA-cam faves and it should have at least 3 million views just because it makes you feel good
I would have been laughing during this song...so hilarious. Love it!
"yea yall like the slow jamss" dude killed it
2020 and I think this is still the sexiest thing I ever heard
It's hard to believe how smooth and bad ass this is!

Love this song and love Beck. This is very Prince inspired and he absolutely killed it!
The sounds of old R&B on Mescaline. Awesome!!!!
I wanna be Beck when I grow up
Me too dude...Me too.

Francisco Pacheco I dig John Wick and John Wayne lol
You could say, "I think I'm in love but it makes me kinda nervous to say so"
Great musicians, songwriting, vocals, and a lot of humour. Why music these days can´t be like this?
so amazing, reminds me of Prince.
this man has made his own legend.
Nothing in all of time can beat this
I didn’t have Beck doing falsetto on my bingo card 😂….He’s fantastic !!!!!
Dang, I miss Sessions! That was a brilliant show.
One of my favorite albums!
Prince comes to my mind!
They both had fantastic falsettos!
This man is boundless
.
Seriously thought this was Flight of the Conchords when I first heard it.
I came here looking for this comment!
I've been looking for this show for a long time, just to say I'm knocked up and the only thing that can make my baby grow is more Beck funk!
Absolutely mind-blowing!!!
Could you imagine a collaboration between Beck and Zappa? 2 genius minds.
Maybe the coolest cat in the biz for his style and groove. Loved beck since Mutations!
rygar3d83 Mutations probably my favorite album of all time.
the amount of fucks to be found in this video: 0
I love the random mention of Zankou Chicken
Well, this song was originally called "Girl from Glendale" which is home of Zankou. *Little Armenia representing!!*
I met u you at Jc penney oh yea..
Channeling Prince.

I always feel like that when i see awesome live performances :P
I know! I wish I saw Where it’s at at this one
Dang what a voice
A drink? After Beck making love to the audience like that I need a damn cigarette.
Aw man, Sessions at West 54th was my shit.
Many years singing falsetto in performance barbershop groups (yes...that's a thing). Good vibes here.....
I'd give away everything just to be at one of these..
Beck= Winning
...zankou chicken.
In some strange parallel universe, that makes perfect sense
elvis, neil young, gaye, bowie, prince, beck: the great solo artist of my generation.
the riff in this track is from bowies track callec ,,,WIN :)

its from 1997 though so sad rip beck :(
All I gotta say is... hell yes.
Love it so much!
I think that the guitarist on the left also has a video with Tom Waits for Chocolate Jesus.
Freakin Awesome Performance....
Aw he needs a hug at the end 😂
That white boy can sing!

Sempre me acabo de rir...
Patrícia Ferraz pq?
Kkkk beck é engraçado
@spiderwolf9 Haha, I know exactly what you mean.
At the beginning he sounded like a pastor at a church.
He looks uncannily like 60s-era Scott Walker here.
THAT's what I always say too!
Yeah, definitely not '99. This looks like that New York show that has some other vids up on here. I think that was from either '97 or '98.
Jeremiah?
Did he really cry? I think so
He was laughing
