Stipe is always dangerous. Heavy hands, good fight IQ and skillful on the back foot. he has not lame wrestling like Gane, and HW guys usually can fight more years than other divisions.. Sure Jones is good and usually finds a way… but it takes only one shot in HW. My heart is with this guy no matter what the oddsmakers say.

Aspinall is faster and hits harder than either one of them and he has a ground game. Alex can probably ko anyone if he touches their chin, lhw or hw. Media didn't tell me that, I saw it with my own eyes.

@@fgc1850 it's just my opinion. Jones beat gane for the title. A guy who got out wrestled by a one legged Francis. The same Francis who flat lined stipe. Jones arguably lost to Reyes and Santos. Probably why he vacated the lhw belt and moved up. Just look at Jones resume. The majority of the guys he beat at light heavyweight were either overweight or past their prime middleweights. But like I said, it's just my opinion and in "my" opinion, neither Jones or stipe want anything to do with aspinall.
Hurry up and fight far out held up the division for 20000 years

I dont understand why does jones wants to fight Stipe so bad, is there any beef between them? Seriously, what does he think he'd accomplish with this? Pereira is the same age as jones, yet he looks way younger, healthier, and is ready to fight anyone, is great to see someone show people that there's examples like Alex.
Are you new to this? They are both at the end of their careers, the fight is good legacy wise for both and it’s going to be a big one, both are legends. Also Jones sees it as winnable, and Stipe will make the biggest payday of his career. Besides, the UFC promised the fight to both as a potential big retirement bout. They both have done a hell lot for the company. Both deserve it. If Jon wins then he always can go on fighting Tom and Alex, that’s always going to be there. Stipe may retire after this one win or lose. Jones might retire if he loses. It’s all wins for everyone here, and there is no “beef” involved at all. It is more about the cheese and the legacy.

Glad to see Stipe staying disciplined and in shape/fight ready. Stipe has always been game to throw down/out on a good fight and go balls to the wall giving it his all so you gotta respect that, I definitely do. He’s a rough customer man, it damn sure won’t be an easy fight for Jones. Those Croatians are tough and Ohio has produced a lot of great athletes but…so has New York. I’m for Jones but I know Stipe is gonna throw the kitchen sink at him to prove a point after that embarrassing 2nd rd KO one sided blowout of a loss to Ngannou. Stipe has nothing to prove given his track record of pro fights but also has everything to prove at same time given how electrifying that Ngannou fight was (and Ngannou is in the same position in boxing and in mma too if he has sloppy defense and head movement against another taller big right hand throwing bomber like Renan Ferraira). Jones is rolling with Gordon Ryan and not getting tapped out so I think we will see BJJ prevail over mid-west d1 wrestling (as good a fight discipline as that has been for so many great fighters in mma history).

Really ? Stipe is the greatest hw off all time. He won the triology against DC and got knock out in his second fight with Francis who was the scariest hw at the time. I'd argue that UFC's philosophy has changed from marketing the fighters to marketing the UFC. More often than not now, the UFC is the pull and not the fighters involved. I think UFC's current name value + the familiarity of Jon Jones/Stipe for lapsed fans does better PPV numbers than you think
