My first golf instructor, Lee Dietrick, taught me this lesson in the early 80's as a way to build to a full swing. Needless to say, I now keep my arms stiff & swing straight back, normal stance & no aggressive but a fearful short-game shot. This lesson has opened my eyes again to a steady aggressive short shot. My absolute thanks for this one Jonathan!!!

Started doing this last summer after seeing your video on 'the position'. Short game is now my strength. Great to see you endorsing what I hoped you would.
Stumbled upon this chanel a week ago and absolutely love it. The swingthoughts are explained in such a way it realy clicks with me. Been practicing a couple of times on the range and on the course. No instant miracles, but occasionaly a ‘happy accident’ when I realy flush one 😃

Very good video. It reminded me of some of the old video of guys like Hogan and Trevino. Much more flowing and more fluid than most current methodology.
Coming from the full swing, I tried the movement in the last weeks. I am happy that you give us the advice to go on with it. We others will see what will happen when we will play with real balls on real ground 😜

Brilliant Jonathan, I can't believe this video is exactly where I am at and what I'm doing. So much so, I could nearly predict you exact words. The only extra thing I need to include is to open the hips a bit at address but otherwise i am really on this page and was in fact using it as a vehicle to generate the correct body motions before I move to the full swing. Your timing is impeccable, a great video.

Excellent demo Jonathan. Seems like if if I begin with the end in mind I will achieve the same result. In other words, if I start at the impact position and swing back and through I can actually do the same thing as you say in this demo. Am I correct?

Anything under a 7 iron from the middle of your stance and then a ball width towards the target for each club until your 3 iron/hybrid is opposite your lead heel, Driver lead toe and fairway woods lead heel.
Your ball position is it measured between your toes or heels
Think of the balls position relative to the middle of your chest rather than you feet.
