- Haircutting ceremony for the boys and ear-piercing for the girls is one of Niue's traditions. One of the main part of these events is the galue or the feast they provide for guests that show up with money for the hosts.
Taro plays a big role so we need to plant alot of it. Check this video out to see taros at such an occasion.

Hello and Alii from palau 🇵🇼..Taro for us is important for cultural purposes and our daily consumption. If you could explain what is the haircut ceremony. We a ceremony for the first born..thank you and I enjoy learning your culture through your videos
To all tonga, Samoa, fiji and other group who are watching this, you all know how to work the land. We all been there and we all know how hard it is. I went back 3years ago after 35 years away. Believe me, everybody make fun of me. They make comment like, look at him, want to be a white man don't know how to work and they all laugh at me. Believe it, I couldn't handle it. I struggle like I never done it in my life. I've been away far too long and never work like that here in nz.
I like him work the land. Good on him.
