    he just said that “the platter mat gives the sound more air.”
    bro. you have a nice belt drive turntable
    also, a needle drop on a magic eraser is the best styles cleaner to ever exist

      @vpconcepts9838  8 місяців тому +1

      LOL, I used to use a magic erasure, the
      LP #9 is actually better & safer. And yes, the 2 upgrade platter mats I use, give the presentation a wider more open sound stage.
      Thanks for watching John 👊🎼✨

    I’m on my 3rd (as in three) MT5. They’ve all had speed issues. Good table when they work. Never again.

  • @lawdog65
    @lawdog65 10 місяців тому

    Great video, but I wish you had shown how you adjusted the speed as that’s the issue I’m having now. Any tips on that?

      The speed screw on the back of the unit, along with the iPhone RPM app I downloaded from the App Store (free). Thanks for watching! 👌🎼✨

    Спасибо за обзор!А из чего сделан субдиск (сталь,..)?Ремень имеет заметные деформации,в особенности от шкива мотора-его действительно нужно менять..
    Thanks for the review! What is the sub-disc made of (steel,..)? The belt has noticeable deformations, especially from the motor pulley - it really needs to be changed..

    • @vpconcepts9838
      @vpconcepts9838  Рік тому

      Metal, Yes. The belt was ready for a change for sure 👍💯🎼✨

    Have you heard about some theories expressed that liquid stylus cleaners can over time weaken the cement binding between the diamond tip and the cantilever? Also, are you in a condo or apartment? If so how do you keep the neighbors from complaining?

    • @vpconcepts9838
      @vpconcepts9838  9 місяців тому

      Never had an issue with any of the 3 carts I've used over 7 years, and they get cleaned each play, each side. As far as sound, cement floors & ceilings, not like Vegas, with chicken wire & stucco 😂👍🎼✨

    Great video man, have you ever tried your records straight on the acrylic platter? I’ve tried all types of mats with my Teres Audio table with the last one being a graphite mat and I found that straight on the acrylic was the best sounding and is also recently.

      I love the sound of my 2 platter Mats & already adjusted the arm to them, I'll have to try it some day though! Thanks for watching Lance!

      @@vpconcepts9838 That’s all that matters is how you like the sound 👍 Btw I finally got my new speakers, I’ll hopefully be posting a video of them soon.

    hello! How could you advise me for upgrading this beauty turntable with an Ortofon 2MR Bronze needle?

    • @vpconcepts9838
      @vpconcepts9838  9 місяців тому

      Never heard that one in person. LOMC is the way to go though, no MM. 👍🎼✨

    • @kaiko34
      @kaiko34 9 місяців тому

      I seen that any Ortofon 2M is at 150-300 pF Recommended load capacitance... is MT5 not suitable for that? I really need advise... Great channel btw! @@vpconcepts9838

    Do you find a SS pre-amp like the McIntosh you have better than a tube variant, say the 2600/2700? I’m contemplating getting the c49 or the c8, I am currently using the MC462 as more power amp. This is for vinyl mostly.

    • @vpconcepts9838
      @vpconcepts9838  Рік тому +1

      I always think tubes win in a preamp option👌🎼💯✨

      @daslaundrynazi Рік тому +1

      I went from a C50 to a C2700 (on a MC452). Significant improvement for both the digital and phono stages. Rolled the stock tubes to OS Telefunken smooth plates and that took it to another level.

    I’d take anything this guy says with a grain of salt. In the way he picks up the LP off the turntable you can tell he is not too respectful of vinyl. C’mon man!
