What I would check out is the user manual which states this warning comes up due to driving build up with driving lots of slow short distances where the car doesn't warm up properly and to resolve it you just need to get on a free way for about 20 - 30 mins to heat up the filter enough for it to work as expected, break down the contaminants and resolve the issue yourself. It's literally in the user manual.
I'm in my 2017 Range Rover diesel right now and I don't drive it ever so I guess that's why it happened to me. I'm 15 minutes down the road trying to get to 70 miles an hour and it's tough but I'm getting it… Hopefully in about 20 minutes, it will get back to normal. I'll let you guys know.
@thephan290 Hi there, I'm having the same issue with my discovery sport. Can you please let me know if the drive on the motorway way cleared the issue. Thank you.
Thanks for the video, mine came up full today and put the car in limp mode. Luckily I watched your video as you reminded me I have landed rover assistance, who've confirmed they will come home to look at the issue. Nice one mate!
Something to bare in mind also, if you do have a diesel Range Rover then consider investing in a diagnostic tool that gives you a reading of how full the DPF filter is. This way you can monitor the soot content in the filter and do your longer 20 minute motorway run to start the DPF regeneration. Some diagnostic tools can clear such codes and force a DPF regeneration also. Using this may save you time and effort, possibly money too in the long run, as you can monitor and plan your journeys accordingly, and induce a forced DPF regen when you know you are going on a slightly longer motorway run.
Thanks for sharing. I took your advice and took it for a long 30km drive at 100kph after I got a warning light “it was getting full”. Did the trick and saved myself $495 👌
Hi, This has just happened to mine. Did Land Rover Assist regenerate it? Or did you need a new DPF? I'm just curious as to when they decide it needs replacing or can be fixed. Thank You :-)
Hi. i was wondering in wich gear you have to drive 30 km and on what rpm? i was driving around 50km at 2200rpm i think around 110km\h and nothing happend... Msg was still there :( thanks in advance. cheers mate
Hi. Sorry for taking long to reply. As I am in the UK, I was talking in miles. You need to drive at roughly 40MPH (roughly 65KMH) for a little while. Try to keep the speed constant as much as possible. I don’t think the RPM will make a difference. Hope that helps

you really ripped it 100 mph you rebbel
Was it a red warning light or amber?
Did the RAC regen sort this? Just had this on my 66 plate that I've owned for a month! Would rather avoid taking to the main dealers.
Good luck getting them to cover that under warranty
Nice video mate!

?
Thanks for sharing 👍
It’s a very poor system, wish I new it before buying 66 plate RRS. Mechanic charged £250 for cleaning but within 3 week the problem is back again.
Do some highway driving for several minutes
@@mooauto2388does that actually fix it once it’s gone red though? I had to get mine reset but now I’m worried it’s going to come back again

if you predominantly drive in town on short runs - DON'T BUY A DIESEL CAR OF ANY KIND!!
bicycle instead
nu am inteles nimic sa i mi bag plua
Ai rezolvat problema DPF ului? Dacă Da, unde si cum. Thx!
