@@kennyr1161 they're not professionals. I think they did pretty damn well considering. Yes there's room for improvement but there's no denying they got talent.
It does sound like it did in the game and Megumin did and amazing job with her solo, but that's a flugelhorn, not a trumpet. They are very similar so I understand the confusion, very common mistake; and I'd probably make it too if I weren't a trumpet player.

I can look past all of that though because you tell they were definitely giving it their all and it's a Xenoblade 2 concert! I've been hoping to hear a live orchestra version of these songs (the song selection was great) and now it's here. Hope you guys play more Xenoblade 2 songs in the future. Here are my suggestions (if you do): - You Will Recall Our Names - Gormott - Elysium in the Dream - Uraya (Night or Day they're both incredible) - Walking with You (My Top Contender; basically Desolation but with more instruments) - The Awakening (probably the most epic song in the game), - Garfont Mercenaries/Night (Great string piece) - Ophion (rivals The Awakening honestly)
The horn instruments kinda butchered the Mor Ardain theme. But otherwise everything else was a-ok considering they're not professional performers. Actually I'm commenting to appreciate the effort they made because Xenoblade Chronicles 2's music deserves the treatment. Imo it's of the very best video game soundtracks of all time. Unfortunately JRPGs are no longer in fashion now relatively so it doesn't get the attention it deserves.

I first encountered with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 while I was searching something that has decent story on youtube and I saw this saying why not give it a try and that is how I started watching all the hours of cutscenes all the way from the beginning to the end without knowing it will end. It was mesmerizing and definitely heart-wrenching experience with this story. I still remember when the scene where Homura becomes totally vulnerable to the kindness by ironically playing the song titled 'The Tomorrow With You'. It strongly resembles how much she have changed throughout the story. I almost cried and my face was getting real red to the point where it was right before a second that my eyesight would start to blur so much as if it is raining to your eyes. It was such an soul-shattering experience. I want to give my full gratitude to you guys playing this masterpiece allowing us to stay in beautiful yet past memory just for a while.
Not technically perfect but this was such a wonderful performance. You can tell there was a crazy amount of effort put into this show. That last song got me in the feels like usual and it was played perfectly. Excellent work guys, way to show the world some amazing JRPG music
Fantastic renditions! I only wish they did Uraya theme and Indol theme ;~;. Also, LOVED the cosplays scattered throughout. Besides the nekomimi, I spotted Kazuma and Megumin from KonoSuba, and Ann Takamaki (as well as a Joker mask) from Persona :3.
Finally someone who also loves the Uraya theme, i was really disappointed that it wasn’t even in the collector’s edition’s soundtrack disc. Oh just what I would give to listen to a live version of that theme
If this is ever done again, I would greatly like to hear One Last You. It's the most beautiful song in the game, and one that makes me cry every time i hear it. It is very dear ti my heart, and hearing it performed by an orchestra would be a dream coem true

"Roaming the Wastes" Sounds very similar to my arrangement on MuseScore (1st arrangement of the song on the site... Lol). Anyway, nice job. Although the trumpets coulda used some more practice on those high notes, it was pretty alright for the most part.
