Stack it with some legendary “sprinter” pieces for extra movement speed and you won’t even notice youre over encumbered. However once you use a couple pieces at once (I’m usually using 4 pieces with sprinter) you feel so incredibly slow when you don’t have them
I love the settlement attack thing. Spectacle Island has been turned into a giant battlefield where irradiated gladiators duke it out to see who wins the day. 🎉
For me, the skins are the best part of the CC catalog. Some are much better than others, but overall I like seeing the faction skins especially. It's a massive shame that Bethesda didn't see fit to implement them into the leveled lists properly because that would have made for a bit of visual diversity during your travels.
I liked all the skins a lot but it caused too many crashes. When upgrading from a PS4 Pro to PS5 I hoped that the expanded memory would take away some of the issues but still the game is crashing when there is too much variation in workbench inventories. Reinstalling the game without CC helped a lot and my latest replay is (finaly) modded. Inspite of giving me much more assets to use the game is not crashing as much as on just a few CC skins. Ok, I have a few graphic glitches inside some buildings but nearly no hard crashes.
Thanks for the review of the creation club content, much appreciated. :) As for the absence of any new voiced dialogue in creation club content, there was an old Kris Takahashi podcast where he and others talked about it and it's because of Bethesda's requires that any new voiced lines have to be available in all of the other voiced languages that fallout 4 supports not only English but also French, Italian, German, Spanish & Japanese. Hence why only text is present.
@@Theegreygaming This is also why I realy like the CC Content, everything is translated. It is realy bad for the immersion when you play not in english install some mods and you just see what items, notes etc are from the mods cause they are in english. But this problem i don´t have with the CC. And i also have over 3k hours in Fallout 4 for this the CC is great to just ad a bit of variety and new stuff to do and try. As someone who came years late to this game, and plays it on a PS4, I think the Creation Club content is a great way to get customized add-ons _ala cart_ .But Grey is absolutely correct with his criticism of their downsides- crashes, longer loading times, and of course, the only way to delete them is reinstalling your whole game! So my advice is be very careful, do your research first, do not install any with known bugs. (Sucks for anyone with a Tunnel Snake build!) My own experience backs up what Grey says, although I did not bother to test every CC add-on. I'm keeping mostly workshop ones like Nuka Cola, Home Decor and Holiday Special. I also like VR Workshop, because _giant desert island!_ I found a workaround for the missing hut roofs, using the Wasteland Warehouse "pyramid" roof. I like the backpack's many patch options, the solar cannon quest was pretty good- though not especially challenging for me. And it actually uses a real npc with dialog (but it is a Gunner!). The cost of the CC is also an issue - but my benefit to cost ratio analysis is more favorable than Grey's. I see it as a simple hours of gaming to money spent equation. Not including electricity to run my console and TV, I've spent about $75 US on Fallout 4. Comparable to the cost of a new game, this includes the $15 I spent on the used hardcopy, all add-ons and all CC content. $75 for the many, many hours of fun seems like a bargain to me. (Started the game on 1-20-2020, two playthroughs, over 2500 hours.) Finally, I'd like to thank GreyGaming for all this information, it really does help out us newer players. Also, I salute you for your service, you will always have my respect.
I feel like the creation club is at its best when you take the assets they provide and use an integration mod. It really lets things feel more varied and normal within the world. Like if high level gunners and BOS members had prototype guass rifles of tesla canons. Or the minutemen had heavy troopers with their power armor from Minutemen vs Gunners etc.
The biggest issue I have with the skin mods (the ones they frequently give out for free) is that on console, they screw up your saves. You will reach a point where you try to save your game & are greeted with an error message: insufficient space, please clear 0 kb. The only solution is to uninstall everything & start from scratch-and this time, don’t download the skins!
I gotta say my favorite is actually the backpack. Something I NEVER accepted is carrying 400+lbs of rifles, food and ammo in my back pocket, snug with my wallet. Like, come on, I at least want a bag to pretend I have room for 30% of this stuff.
The big difference between the standard vault suits and the ones in cc is that the unique vault utility suits act essentially like a mechanic suit. You can ballistic weave them. Nit that it's a very big difference, but it's there.
My problem with the Mechanic Suit is that you can't fit armor over it. I tried. If you try putting on armor over the mechanic suit, you unequip the suit. You're almost better off simply going with a basic Vault Suit and equipping armor over it.
Good content. I appreciate you going to such lengths to weed through the chaff. I mostly watch your build content which is always so creative. Keep up the good work.
I get that the voice actors aren't readily available for new lines, but there are mods (Sim Settlements 2, for example) that are able to use existing dialogue snippets to fill in the gaps. So it can be done, it's just more time consuming.
@@QualityPenThat heavily depends on the contract. Disney for example can use your voice after your death in whatever media they want unless you have a good manager who can negotiate that away. Bethesda is known for their greed so on one hand predatory contracts sound like them but on the other that would still require paying the voice actors more money which they probably want to away
Hey Grey, I agree with you on the whole PTSD topic in your video. I am also prior service, Army 11B, and my unit got passed over for two deployments and I volunteered for alot of deployments and things. But never got selected. At the time I was upset and felt the same that I wasn't doing my job that I was trained to do. But you are right the guys who came back went the same and now I am content with the fact that I served. I love the videos by the way they are good.
I’m showing my ignorance but I guess I never realized how the deployment process works. I’m surprised by you and Grey’s groups being “passed over” for your selections, especially considering you were wanting to go to the fight. Very fascinating you’re able to say your deployment location preference in the first place, but I’m glad you and your fellow servicemen went out and served our country in any and all capacities. Thank you.
Reinstalling Fallout 4 on Xbox and playing the save that has CC content installed before will essentially break the save file. Especially the ones that added quests. Plus the one that altered the map will break precombines previses.
If you are keeping the Neon Flats and Noir Penthouse, I recommend you download the workshop expansion pack mods for them, if you haven't already. They make having those CC mods feel more worth it. The wall, floor and roof tiles they add really should have been a part of the mods in the first place, I think.
I love the backpack because why would I even attempt to hoof it anywhere without it? Where to store water, ammo, food, junk, medicine. My back pocket? Prison wallet? 🤮. I have always hated how in a roleplaying game, its not inherently added as at least an aesthetic.
I'm a new player, these tips and advice have proven quite valuable. I'm retired and can't afford to needlessly blow money, thank you for your efforts 😊
Thank you for your service. Good to see another SS/SW shipmate. I qualified on the USS Casimir Pulaski SSBN-633(B) and as a Plankowner on the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70, after many years as an enlisted man (CTT) on perpetual shore duty. Lt USN(ret)
Personally, I enjoy the customizable vault suits, mostly for when I am building Vault 88, I can make all farmers wear one color, merchants another, security another, etc. Aesthetic, certainly, but appreciated.
Wish I would have watched this series before I bought the Prototype Gauss Rifle. I was very disappointed in what it was (was thinking Mew Vegas one) and how to attain it. Anyway, thanks for your service to our country! Respect!
Very helpful. You were clear and you made your points succinctly. Thank you for saving us time and trouble. Subbed. I've been making mods since Morrowind days and I have much the same opinion of the cc content as you.
@@kanaka118446 Playing MW is a unique, exasperating experience. The lack of hand holding includes being able to kill characters needed to complete quests. It's very much removed in some ways from today's OW games.
I heard somewhere that the reason there are no voices for CC content or Skyrim or FO4 mods on Playstation is due to Sony not allowing "new scripts". Since the CC is on all platforms, Bethesda simply made them all have no voice lines
CC content is Bethesda's way of getting around that restriction. "Official" content so can use external models and scripting for quests. New script refers to anything external being added, so dialogue, models, sound, complex questing script, etc. The lack of voice acting is because they didn't want to localize voice acting for the quests, so they used base game dialogue and tons of notes to get around that.
Regarding the Tunnel Snakes, it's actually the main culprit for the bugged conversation with Codsworth at the beginning moments of the game after you got out of Vault 111 as well as causing the Quincy Survivors to either get stuck at the Museum by messing with their dialogue with the player or just them not MOVING AT ALL at the entrance of the museum. The solution was to NOT put the TS CC quest on your active quest list but for me, I used the no quest auto start mod because I rather be safe than sorry. It worked, but ONLY after wasting HOURS and HOURS investigating for myself on WHAT CAUSED this INFURIATING glitch/bug that I HAD TO FIX MYSELF.
I just started watching your channel. I play fallout 4 a) because im a fallout fan b) its an escape. I had no idea you served. Thankyou for your service. I served in the marine corps and did a deployment to afghanistan. I dont think we vets thank each other enough. My mind and body is broken. I dont say all this for pitty, i get enough just by being a vet from normies, i say this because i like your channel because it honestly brings some peace to me because for some reason I can just chill and watch. Maybe you don't take yourself too seriously or maybe you actually put honest effort to enjoy this game despite "it not being a real fallout game".
I get the most bang for my buck out of the backpack. It grants me more carry weight early in the game as I tend to lean a little more toward charisma and intelligence.
CC delayed is 100% a requirement if your using CC content on a console its available on. That actually helps a LOT with the bugs sense it stops them from running immediately upon start... I'd still avoid anything that touches the exterior of downtown like the plague. Sadly, that means captain cosmos, noir penthouse, and Charlestown condo for me. Sucks because captain cosmos is actually really good IMO.
For me, creation clubs biggest problems have to be the what i call a death bug on ps4. It's a glich/bug that becouse of incorrectly loading assets or something similar to that completely fails to save the game. Further more, it can absolutely "infect" your whole save file so bye bye that 200 hour save. It's mostly caused by skins and although it can be removed it's a pain in the ass sence you never quite know which creation club does it sence it doesn't have to apear right after you install it.
everything i officially own thru the Creation Club i got for free, mostly skins, but i did get 3 workshop packs and 1 player home, the stealth suit, the Gauss rifle, and the vault suit customization during the 25th anniversary every other creation club DLC i have is pirated, no way am i spending over $100 on DLC that should of been part of the season pass
the deleting the game and reinstalling thing was mentioned so much by commenters because because it's very easy to do, you just press 2 buttons and it can be uninstalled, at least on ps4. And waiting for the game to install again isn't an issue because you can just put your console on stand by mode and the game can be played again in less than 24 hours. It's not a big deal and console players install and uninstall games all the time, we are used to do it because we are forced to do it thanks to the limited storage space (500GB or 1000GB) Again, I'm talking for ps4 here, idk what's going on in xbox.
re-installing can be really pain if you have slow internet or if your have internet that charge you amount data you have use then downloading all content all over again just because want to delete one cretion club content seems like huge pain in the ass. While comparing that to PC you are back in playing in less than 5 minutes.
4:44 yea i learned this the hard way after i tried the tunnel snakes and handmade shotgun shotgun got removed cause every enemy had one and i like having modded weapons in my enemies' inventories tunnel snakes i had a lot of fun with but it messed up my main story
I agree with you on a lot of things you brought up on this video and some things I don't. Only thing that sucks about begin a console user is that I can not uninstall the things I have gotten in Creation Club. Also I don't really mind buying my Creation Club mods since I feel they are safer than getting them for free from moders. I am not saying they are all good, but hopefully with the last 2 years Bethesda has done nothing with Creation Club or Fallout 4 in general, hopefully the latest update will give us the game we all want.
I would say that buying creation club content isn't any safer than installing mods. Heck even Grey say on this video that he got few more crashes than usually.
I actually enjoy most of the CC stuff. (HMS can burn in hell) But I enjoy the extra content. If you look at it from only playing once or using the one save file forever, you wont get mich out of it. But I go through saves almost monthly. I use the Security pack to wall off my settlements, the backpack is my ever present healing bag, construction packs diversify my settlements, the weapons are cool wall art. The CR-74L is great for early to mid game and i constantly buy them for my minutemen since anything is better than the lasermusket. And it has a minutemen skin. So if you start sour towards the CC, it sours the experience. I think its pretty good and keeps me playing years later.
I know this vid is 4 months old and the only CC pack I bought and felt it was a bit too much was definitely the skyrim pack. Is it fun being a crazed beserker slashing people? Absolutely. Is the steel sword completely overpowered that makes the baseball feel balanced? Absolutely. Thankfully I usually play run & gun but that one time I tried melee only, oh boy that Swan's Reincarnation was really feeling the FUS RO DAH!
Yup, I agree the quests are usually awkward. They are like unifinished mods from Nexus. The idea is there, but no extra effort is put to make the quest sit well with the rest of the game. You can tell, that it avoids more complex or multi-stage quests, because they can't introduce new NPCs, because they can't really hire a voice actor for pointless little tidbit of content. This means it's always notes and holotapes, and all the new people you meet are dead or completely generic; and without new characters, telling a new story is almost impossible. You can find a way more polished quest for free.
The triple barrel can be sold as legendary by some vendors and it will have a unique skin I got one from the Assaultron at Goodneighbor and since it has the fire legendary effect, it's skin has flames on the stock It's also OP as fuck since you can get it early game
There may have been an update between the posting of this vid and now, but the VR POD Island Workshop content now has slanted bamboo roofs. Granted it’s not as extensive as the Warehouse and Barn ones from official DLCs but it’s better than a flat floor. Although the value to content ratio for CC content is questionable, it’s a way to get “vetted” mods into your current save file without turning off achievements or trophies for consoles. For me it was worth the price of admission. For others, your mileage may vary. At any rate, thanks for your comprehensive look into the FO4 CC content. Although I may not fully agree with all of your assessments of this content, I do have to agree that the added “safe houses” will be invaluable when I eventually switch to Survival mode. It’s also great to see creators featuring this type of FO4 content.
Great video. Completely respect your opinion on things. I agree some of the creation club stuff was essentially pointless waste of time and others were very fun and useful
I try to use the cc content. I like the bells n whistes. Its strange that these 'official' mods are so clunky and the wealth of open mods include so many slick additions.
I play on ps5, and the worst part of the CC is the 0 KB glitch. a glitch caused by the weapon and armor skins (idk why), that makes it impossible to save any further progress on any character, and the only why to fix it is to completely delete and reinstall the game.
Honestly, the xo2, the captain cosmos, and tunnel snakes are all cannon in my opinion. They don't break lore too much, and my favorite building is the noir penthouse since it looks beautiful, overall in my opinion these 4 are the best, plus the noirs quest basically gives you that gun but a 44. Revolver
You should make a video on where settlements could be if the settlement building system was in the other fallout games and dlcs I feel like it would be really cool
Also a video about where settlement locations could be in fallout 76 if it was more like fallout 4 and settlements were in set places would probably be cool
I largely ignore the Creation Club. First, I can't see spending the money, and because even the stuff I have, which is mostly a direct result of watching your channel, I don't use it. I can't, for example, see adding an arcade to the Commonwealth Red Rocket. If they wanna play video games, they can hike to Sanctuary... 😛
I'm glad there's someone actually showing praise towards the creation club. It's an unpopular opinion but I enjoy the Creation club and I think the content is still league's better than what we would get in the atom shop.
I personally like the cc js because it don’t add to my load order space and I only got 2gb and tbh it never bothered me when I load in the game I js click continue immediately and the captain cosmos one is my fav
Idk if has been said in the comments already but the major reason one of the devs has said as to why no voice acting in CC is localization if they add in even just a few sentences of voice work they now have to record those lines in each language the game official supports
Hey, great to see you're jumping into 76. I was pretty salty with it after buying fallout 1st and playing through the main quests. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed beating it in a private world adjustable features to tailor the experience how I wanted it to be, but I couldn't get excited enough to replay it like I do with most games. Fast forward a year, my subscription expires, my buddy says he's going to try it (he has gamepass), and I decide to just play in public servers with him. It's been 2 months and, even without the fallout 1st benefits, I've fallen in love with the building and sheer amount of events, to say nothing of the amazing community that keeps the game alive. The amount of rewards you get from doing the public events (not even doing damage, just tagging enemies so you can loot them) is insane. Then, there's plenty of camps with player vendors that sell loads of helpful plans and items for cheap to help you get a good start.
Some of the stuff they added was pretty good, but most of them are just retextured stuff and some things that could’ve been cool like the brick buildings are just textures applied to a flat surface. I wish they would’ve added more complexity to the settlement building through this, like you could make a couple of recreational activities for your citizens or something. But yeah, other than the wishful thinking, it’s not good. Skyrims one Is way better imo
does that method work for items purchased from the CC store, or just the mods added by the creation club? granted I'm just going off hearsay since I'm a PC snob, but from what I've been told, the CC items are treated the same as DLC, with mods occupying a different file store.
great video, the entire video was awesome, thank you for your service, Fallout 4 is a great game 🎮 👍, I had to remove the mods that were on my Xbox series x, and then had to start a new game 🎮 😅, got the game beat again but am doing things a little different this time 😀 👍, am seeing if I can stick to one settlement in the game or if I keep it to a couple of settlements, because of the Supply lines, because I would need to have more than one settlement 😊, I have chosen to have my settlement at Red Rocket 🚀 😊, and I builded wall around my settlement so that the enemy can't attack me 😅, I also made some defensive turrets to keep them out, after that I loot the enemy and sell there stuff or break the items down into components 😊, again awesome video 😊🎉🎉
You're all mistaken on xbox part. You can easily just clear the data without reinstalling the whole game, then sync your saves from cloud without having to reinstall the game, I did it a lot of times. You don't have to re-download even the dlcs, all this does is getting rid of your saves (if not synched) AND creation club content, potentially mods (don't use them, can't tell)
The thing about "removing" files from consoles, why don't those people just disable those add ons? You may not be able to uninstall them, but disabling them allows you to keep playing and not having it affect save files.
i've found the customizable vault suits pretty useful - if you don't use a mod that lets you name your settlers, you can at least color code them and number them.
I tend to give my Settlers a gun better than their standard pipe pistol, preferably a rifle to help keep the range open, give them some actual armor, and build 100 defense with turrets. If I'm free I'll answer a call to help during an attack, otherwise they are on their own.
This was a great series. I don’t really play Fallout 4 anymore because (for me) it’s not as stable or as enjoyable as Skyrim or the previous Fallout games. It’s good to see I’m not missing much!
The added instability is key. Major problem. On the other hand, give me a Hunter's Manwell, some X-02 and I will endless raid Hangman's Alley for a month.
The reason why cc content never has any dialog is because they'd have to not only record it once but also hire a a voiceactor for every language setting there is
The cc broke my companions as I have cait and nick with full affinity I’ve done everything I need to get there quest and when they said the dialogue to trigger the quest it just never triggers and I don’t want to download mods just to fix it as I’ve nearly beat the full game and I want achievements… anyone got a way to fix it ??
The backpacks are also in Skyrim, but Bethesdas made them part of the base game IF you buy the Anniversary Edition. (Upgrading to that version was only $20 if you already had SE at the time it came out) But paying for the backpacks on their own would be dumb IMO.
I’m willing to bet that with the next gen update, there will be an upgrade you can do for like 20 dollars to get all previous creation club content. I believe something similar happened with Skyrim?
Fallout 4 benefits from some of the cc content, it makes the commonwealth more interesting to explore and it opens up new playstyles, shame it's wayyyy too overpriced A way better strategy would be to put all of the creation club into one pack (with maybe some balance changes like level requirements) and make it a dlc for around 15 €
Console player here. You don't need to Uninstall F4 and all DLC to removed CC content. You just need to remove the "Reserved Space" data in the memory. No need to completely delete the game from your hard drive. Downside is you remove ALL CC content and need to re-download the CC content you want.
Triple barrel is a nice weapon in the beginning. Its like any starting weapon. You'll get rid of it the moment you get the next best thing. Most dont keep the normal double barrel unless it has the Endless effect The backpack honestly is an absolute godsend in Survival Mode for me. Especially with the healing version. Its slow but it makes a difference over time. That and its no more game breaking than Strong Back carryweight wise. Plus it makes sense to pull ones stuff out of a bag instead of out of nowhere Vault Suits. Yeah, i agree with you. Nice to have a black or pink suit but its not super needed. Not even for 88 unless variety is THAT important to someone "Doesnt feel like Fallout." I gotta agree there too. Things like the Sentinel Armor never felt like i earned it or a lot of the other stuff. "Go here, delete enemy, get reward" is okay for small stuff but a lot of them are just so tacked on "No voice acting." They could have at least used pre recorded dialog in ways. Modders certainly have done similar to great effect "Instability." *Delete 0kb of data* . Nuff said I love my Slocum pack & some other stuff but it feels like playing russian roulette every time i play the game even without any of them installed "Quest clutter." Thats usually not a problem for me but holy *fuck* even i got annoyed by this because i can never make up my mind on what i want to do first, let alone after that XD us its just annoying to see. Maybe space them out at level goals like with Automaton or Nuka World. Problem circumvented. "Reused assets." Im not bothered by this BUT i easily see why many others are. Except for the Gunners being always used. That was pure laziness "Cost." Fuuuuuuck, i agree. Yeah i get a LOT of use from some of these but im one person and even i agree some are absurd at times. Its even insulting at times Overall, i liked the video even if there were a few disagreements BUT!!! I easily understand every complaint. But theres 1 positive i can sorts give but to a small degree For sony console player specifically, some of these can be really nice since Sony really doesnt like to play fair with video game players in general. Sure some other stuff would be nice but a lot really do help a peasant like me. That said, im not condoning CC at all. Just wanted to give it that 1 slight positive at least. Its nice for Sony players or if youre a twisted fuck like me and prefer to go as modless as possible for some ungodly reason XD
outside of making nice looking buildings I don't think the creation club offers anything that isn't done better with mods (even on console). Militarized Minutemen alone changes a wide swath of things and brings in customizable backpacks (not to mention armor that is actually worth a damn if you want to avoid power armor).
your content is really great and you deserve so much more attention! your videos tickle my fancy and seeing someone who loves building as much as i do in this game makes me smile! keep doing what youre doing!
(7:45) Since most CC content was originally created by independent mod developers rather than anyone at Bethesda, it doesn't really surprise me that there's little or no voice acting. Now if we could get Sim Settlements 2 released as a CC item, THAT would be super cool.
the tunnel snakes addon doesnt even just prevent leaving the vault, it can also break codsworth on first encounter in sanctuary where he just wont move and repeats the same lines even after killing the bloatflies, and can also break preston preventing a minuteman playthrough entirely if on console cause the only way to advance if it happens is through the console commands
It was likely from someone that read your older comment. For instance, you are likely to get a notification that I liked your comment and responded with a comment of my own.
On PS I suffered many bugs, up to the point completely deleting the game before realizing CC was the issue here. Deleting and restarting without installing CC content, then adding most wanted items and hoping for the best. Since I never spend any money on it I felt I had no right to complain. But then there is that elephant in the room: I bought the Season Pass in the PS store and it mentioned "Future DLC" but... Bethesda is adding "mini DLC" to the CC wich should have fallen into the "Future DLC" category. Don't get me wrong, at the time I considered it good vallue for money and it did offer me days of enjoyment but still it feels like Bethesda is kind of cheating and I'm kind of annoyed by Sony to allow this without changing their Season Pass description in their shop. Another thing is the addition of bugs with CC content: A studio like Wildcard was warned to have ARK removed from the store for their paid skins often got lost after a patch wich caused a wave of refund requests and CP2077 got delisted after CDPR offering no questions asked refunds for a broken game. Why does this policy not go for breaking the maingame with PAID CC content? Still, FO4 is a game I keep going back to inspite of all these minor annoyances and every video I see gives me good memories. I've given up on '76 but hope to live long enough for a real FO5 or at least a current gen version of FO4.
I got the backpack for free, I don't find it too game breaking, especially when the strong back perk essentially negates carry weight anyways

Same here. Delete, reinstall without CC skins. I'm not even sure wich ones do that, so i removed them all.
There might be legal issues with reusing voice actor lines for a different product.
I served in the Navy and fortunately I felt I did contribute while I was in. Thank you for your service. A thumbs up and new subscriber !
Roger that. I felt the same, both before and after I went Mustang. Lt USN (ret)
100% think your channel is criminally underrated. Hope to see it take off.
Thank you for your service
I’m showing my ignorance but I guess I never realized how the deployment process works. I’m surprised by you and Grey’s groups being “passed over” for your selections, especially considering you were wanting to go to the fight. Very fascinating you’re able to say your deployment location preference in the first place, but I’m glad you and your fellow servicemen went out and served our country in any and all capacities. Thank you.
@@TheMattShow1011 you can volunteer for deployments but it's up to the Military to say yes or no. It also depends on what you Job or MOS is.
Thank you for your service!
You do get the old vault suit form fallout 3 as well as the reeskin for what it's worth I don't wear it anyway
Reinstalling Fallout 4 on Xbox and playing the save that has CC content installed before will essentially break the save file. Especially the ones that added quests. Plus the one that altered the map will break precombines previses.
As always some great quality content, I always enjoy these top 5s so getting 2 in 1 is awesome!
I never knew Grey was a veteran. Now that I do, thank you so much for being willing to sacrifice. And the content is amazing too.
If you are keeping the Neon Flats and Noir Penthouse, I recommend you download the workshop expansion pack mods for them, if you haven't already. They make having those CC mods feel more worth it. The wall, floor and roof tiles they add really should have been a part of the mods in the first place, I think.
He doesn't use mods (yet).
Xbox 420/69/XSLMOP series gave me a chuckle
All the assets they reuse and they couldn't even reuse Sole Survivor dialog to get around the VA issue.
I love the backpack because why would I even attempt to hoof it anywhere without it? Where to store water, ammo, food, junk, medicine. My back pocket? Prison wallet? 🤮. I have always hated how in a roleplaying game, its not inherently added as at least an aesthetic.
Holy crap you just said what I've been trying to say to myself about why the creation club quests feel, kinda wrong. They feel injected.
I'm a new player, these tips and advice have proven quite valuable. I'm retired and can't afford to needlessly blow money, thank you for your efforts 😊
Keep doing what your doing. I love the videos. Also, great use of Adalai Nishka.

Personally, I enjoy the customizable vault suits, mostly for when I am building Vault 88, I can make all farmers wear one color, merchants another, security another, etc. Aesthetic, certainly, but appreciated.
I thought I was the only one who done that damn 😂
Grey - "Maxson is a big stupid baby. Okay, I'm fine."
😆🤣
Wish I would have watched this series before I bought the Prototype Gauss Rifle. I was very disappointed in what it was (was thinking Mew Vegas one) and how to attain it. Anyway, thanks for your service to our country! Respect!
Truly I have not found anything within creation club that I could not do without.
Very helpful. You were clear and you made your points succinctly. Thank you for saving us time and trouble. Subbed.
I've been making mods since Morrowind days and I have much the same opinion of the cc content as you.
Having even played Morrowind makes you a minority in today's Fallout fanbase zeitgeist
@@kanaka118446 Playing MW is a unique, exasperating experience. The lack of hand holding includes being able to kill characters needed to complete quests. It's very much removed in some ways from today's OW games.
The Freaking Glitches You Can't Even Begin The Game... Just happened to me during a Livestream...
Thank you for your service, Grey.
Hey man I just wanna say keep at it man. You’re the donuts to our coffee!
From one vet to another, thank you for your service. I felt then and continue to feel it was worth every minute I served. Lt USN(ret)
I get the most bang for my buck out of the backpack. It grants me more carry weight early in the game as I tend to lean a little more toward charisma and intelligence.
Can't wait for the fallout 4 t60 power armor to be purchasable for the starfield creation club
Well I do have some of these was thinking about getting a couple more but your video made me realize the ones I want aren’t worth it
CC delayed is 100% a requirement if your using CC content on a console its available on.
It's mostly caused by skins and although it can be removed it's a pain in the ass sence you never quite know which creation club does it sence it doesn't have to apear right after you install it.
everything i officially own thru the Creation Club i got for free, mostly skins, but i did get 3 workshop packs and 1 player home, the stealth suit, the Gauss rifle, and the vault suit customization during the 25th anniversary
every other creation club DLC i have is pirated, no way am i spending over $100 on DLC that should of been part of the season pass
thanks for reviewing this i was wondering what was the best for my play stile
the deleting the game and reinstalling thing was mentioned so much by commenters because because it's very easy to do, you just press 2 buttons and it can be uninstalled, at least on ps4. And waiting for the game to install again isn't an issue because you can just put your console on stand by mode and the game can be played again in less than 24 hours.
It's not a big deal and console players install and uninstall games all the time, we are used to do it because we are forced to do it thanks to the limited storage space (500GB or 1000GB)
Again, I'm talking for ps4 here, idk what's going on in xbox.
It's the same on Xbox
re-installing can be really pain if you have slow internet or if your have internet that charge you amount data you have use then downloading all content all over again just because want to delete one cretion club content seems like huge pain in the ass. While comparing that to PC you are back in playing in less than 5 minutes.
I love the backpack, I always take the straps off though
4:44 yea i learned this the hard way after i tried the tunnel snakes and handmade shotgun
shotgun got removed cause every enemy had one and i like having modded weapons in my enemies' inventories
tunnel snakes i had a lot of fun with but it messed up my main story
I agree with you on a lot of things you brought up on this video and some things I don't. Only thing that sucks about begin a console user is that I can not uninstall the things I have gotten in Creation Club. Also I don't really mind buying my Creation Club mods since I feel they are safer than getting them for free from moders. I am not saying they are all good, but hopefully with the last 2 years Bethesda has done nothing with Creation Club or Fallout 4 in general, hopefully the latest update will give us the game we all want.
On console, if you uninstall the whole game and reinstall then the creation club stuff will no longer be installed.
The only reason I mentioned the Triple Barreled variation is due to it is good early game
The triple barrel can be sold as legendary by some vendors and it will have a unique skin
I got one from the Assaultron at Goodneighbor and since it has the fire legendary effect, it's skin has flames on the stock
It's also OP as fuck since you can get it early game
Thanks for doing all of the CC content.
I'd never use CC content myself and it's reassuring to know i'm missing nothing.
I feel like Grey could've summarized the cost for the creation club with "I'm not mad, just disappointed"
Revolver
You should make a video on where settlements could be if the settlement building system was in the other fallout games and dlcs
I feel like it would be really cool
“Xbox 42069 XSLMNOP series”😂
I think that is the name of the next Xbox console…I have it on good authority…my head.
Then, there's plenty of camps with player vendors that sell loads of helpful plans and items for cheap to help you get a good start.
to be honest I still haven't even installed it, it's just sitting in my games library atm.
Something better to remove the stuff from creation club is to uninstall the “Reserved space” under saved data in the “manage game” section
On PS4 creation club skin’s literally make it impossible to save with the zero kb bug.
You dont actually have to unitstall fallout 4 to remove cc content. You just have to empty the reserved mod space in saved data menu.
does that method work for items purchased from the CC store, or just the mods added by the creation club? granted I'm just going off hearsay since I'm a PC snob, but from what I've been told, the CC items are treated the same as DLC, with mods occupying a different file store.
@@Theegreygamingnot it don't you have to uninstall the game on ps4 Xbox I'm not sure about so I can't say
great video, the entire video was awesome, thank you for your service, Fallout 4 is a great game 🎮 👍, I had to remove the mods that were on my Xbox series x, and then had to start a new game 🎮 😅, got the game beat again but am doing things a little different this time 😀 👍, am seeing if I can stick to one settlement in the game or if I keep it to a couple of settlements, because of the Supply lines, because I would need to have more than one settlement 😊, I have chosen to have my settlement at Red Rocket 🚀 😊, and I builded wall around my settlement so that the enemy can't attack me 😅, I also made some defensive turrets to keep them out, after that I loot the enemy and sell there stuff or break the items down into components 😊, again awesome video 😊🎉🎉
Even if you do uninstall, you'll still have the saves.
Fun fact it’s not vault tec it’s the enclave who were asses
The thing about "removing" files from consoles, why don't those people just disable those add ons? You may not be able to uninstall them, but disabling them allows you to keep playing and not having it affect save files.
i've found the customizable vault suits pretty useful - if you don't use a mod that lets you name your settlers, you can at least color code them and number them.
What mods let you name your Settlers? I used to use Don't Call me Settler, but haven't found anything to replace it since it was abandoned.
Bro literally cataloguing his settlers
I kept getting the 0kb save bug on my PS4. Dunno if it was CC related, but uninstalling the ones I wasn't actually enjoying did seem to fix it.
I had to take off the CC stuff. I could get Doom armor and Gauss rifle at lvl1 but I keep the workshop furniture.
The reason why cc content never has any dialog is because they'd have to not only record it once but also hire a a voiceactor for every language setting there is
You don't actually have to uninstall from the xbox to remove the add ons. You can just go to a specific file and delete that
The cc broke my companions as I have cait and nick with full affinity I’ve done everything I need to get there quest and when they said the dialogue to trigger the quest it just never triggers and I don’t want to download mods just to fix it as I’ve nearly beat the full game and I want achievements… anyone got a way to fix it ??
The backpacks are also in Skyrim, but Bethesdas made them part of the base game IF you buy the Anniversary Edition. (Upgrading to that version was only $20 if you already had SE at the time it came out) But paying for the backpacks on their own would be dumb IMO.
I’m willing to bet that with the next gen update, there will be an upgrade you can do for like 20 dollars to get all previous creation club content. I believe something similar happened with Skyrim?
Fallout 4 benefits from some of the cc content, it makes the commonwealth more interesting to explore and it opens up new playstyles, shame it's wayyyy too overpriced
A way better strategy would be to put all of the creation club into one pack (with maybe some balance changes like level requirements) and make it a dlc for around 15 €
Wait ppl fully delete the game? Why? Just delete reserve space to remove cc content
Most dont keep the normal double barrel unless it has the Endless effect
The backpack honestly is an absolute godsend in Survival Mode for me. Especially with the healing version. Its slow but it makes a difference over time. That and its no more game breaking than Strong Back carryweight wise. Plus it makes sense to pull ones stuff out of a bag instead of out of nowhere
Vault Suits. Yeah, i agree with you. Nice to have a black or pink suit but its not super needed. Not even for 88 unless variety is THAT important to someone
"Doesnt feel like Fallout." I gotta agree there too. Things like the Sentinel Armor never felt like i earned it or a lot of the other stuff. "Go here, delete enemy, get reward" is okay for small stuff but a lot of them are just so tacked on
"No voice acting." They could have at least used pre recorded dialog in ways. Modders certainly have done similar to great effect
"Instability." *Delete 0kb of data* . Nuff said
I love my Slocum pack & some other stuff but it feels like playing russian roulette every time i play the game even without any of them installed
"Quest clutter." Thats usually not a problem for me but holy *fuck* even i got annoyed by this because i can never make up my mind on what i want to do first, let alone after that XD us its just annoying to see. Maybe space them out at level goals like with Automaton or Nuka World. Problem circumvented.
"Reused assets." Im not bothered by this BUT i easily see why many others are. Except for the Gunners being always used. That was pure laziness
"Cost." Fuuuuuuck, i agree. Yeah i get a LOT of use from some of these but im one person and even i agree some are absurd at times. Its even insulting at times
Overall, i liked the video even if there were a few disagreements BUT!!! I easily understand every complaint. But theres 1 positive i can sorts give but to a small degree
For sony console player specifically, some of these can be really nice since Sony really doesnt like to play fair with video game players in general.
I think the only item in the CC that would interest me is the Sentinel Mod for PA. But as you stated, money to benefits does not translate.
Thanks for the content!
TLDR: It’s best pirated if you are on pc
outside of making nice looking buildings I don't think the creation club offers anything that isn't done better with mods (even on console).
Have you thought about making videos on Raider Settlements?
I have, it's been on my to-do list for several months now but I keep getting side-tracked on other projects.
the tunnel snakes addon doesnt even just prevent leaving the vault, it can also break codsworth on first encounter in sanctuary where he just wont move and repeats the same lines even after killing the bloatflies, and can also break preston preventing a minuteman playthrough entirely if on console cause the only way to advance if it happens is through the console commands
Schnikes! Sarge appreciates the Warning to Dodge this Bullet! ✊
whyd i just get a notification for this 4 month old video lol
It was likely from someone that read your older comment. For instance, you are likely to get a notification that I liked your comment and responded with a comment of my own.
@@edmartin875 nah it was a "new video" notification
Remove the straps and the three barrel has an extra shot over the normal so that’s more damage than just the base.
