Ironically I just found this vid after I already did just this. The idea is to ult off cooldown to get ahead/force backs/burn relics/secure objectives. Pythag, Gem of Iso and E-Staff are better recommend for the HP and CCR as well as peeling for your team. The Ults CD is the reason he gets away with it along with OOC Sustain and 2 helps your rotations to Ult again and again. Also definitely get TP relic, beads isn't needed
I also saw this build the other day when looking to prove to someone that Smitefire is poo poo. While Poseidon does have strong clear, the whole not having any defense means the team has barely any front line in team fights. So if you don’t pub stomp you basically lose late
I love the musical queues, I used to hate them cuz they can spoil what’s gon happen, but honestly I really enjoy the theatrics and entertainment they add to the video. Like there’s the boss music you hear when someone gon pop off, but it’s not always like that, sometimes he hits me wit a m.knight shyamalan and gets turned on, which adds a little mystery to what’s gon happen. Keep up the good work broski
All that guan needed to do was wait for Runic Shield. Then literally ignore the wave and kill Poseidon. Unfortunately he didn't seem like he knew how to stall lane
Seems the idea is to go against the grain of early def for a power spike at the start. If they don't respect you, easy kill if they do you stalemate but your clear is likely better meaning you get totem and can pressure for his blue to gain small gains. Then theres not much they can do unless you misplay. If they build more def you have the damage to box him. If they build dmg they stay squish. The only reason this works is because of pos' speed meaning your damage mitigation is through evasion. Theoretically vulcan can pull off the same tactic but you'll have to consistently hit abilities (something thats not common for vulcan mains if rexsi's videos have any merit)
DiscoFerry good shit anyway, this is the first smitefire video by doubleJ that actually is right, and works. Like he said it probably doesn't work that good vs certain stronger matchups like and auto attack warriors. But still damn impressive.
@@spacesurfer318 well it probably helps that im not your average smitefire silver 2 / arena main guide writer. i find the matchup vs aa warriors is fine as long as you get early game pressure and avoid letting them poke you, which isnt too difficult once you get used to playing the lane. normally the worst lane matchup for pos is guan, because you cant keep him poked for long, you cant stop his 3, and you cant escape his ult. if he doesnt complete fuck his early game like the guy in the video, his 3-4 will 100-0 you.
@@Artis312 honestly eithers fine, i just prefer mages for the early clear/poke/cdr. like i said on smitefire, having your ult up while theirs is down is your best kill chance, more cdr is a longer window for that
aaayyyyyeeeeee my boy Solo j is using poseidon! he's another good one i don't personally use him myself (but he's still a very good character/god what ever's suitable)his build when completed is alright not the most powerful but he still get's the job done if you do use him but personally i like the basic characters like ra,thor,chaos,etc. but please don't be judgmental to people who doesn't have a lot of money and can only afford the basic gods because that's not really fair to gloat that you have a more powerful god that's not a basic most people don't get payed enough to have the op ones
Smite fire guy was right.. he hacked the game so whenever you use Poseidon Solo you automatically get plebs :O but if you start using another build he turns off the hack! So he’ll always be right!!!
Honestly, he isn’t that bad in Solo(casuals). Like most Gods, he has counter matchups but because of his early clear and his ult, he crushes most Warriors in the early game. Chaac can absolutely destroy you though, but not too many play him anymore.

Watching the enemy Ares makes me sad. Ares was my favorite god back when I played in early beta. But then more and more gods came out whose ults cancelled my ult. Not to mention the cooldown for beads is shorter than Ares ult cooldown. Which means if you find the perfect spot and blink in for a perfect ult, you mildly inconvenience the other team for a second.

Thor, Hades, Apollo, Aphro, Fenrir, Freya, Ne Zha, Thanatos, Sobek, Ymir, Chang'e, and I'm sure several of the 80% of the hundred gods they've introduced since have an ult or ability that cancels my ult. Ares doesn't have a lot going for him to start with. His only real ability is his ult. Once that's down, people just ignore him.

I play a full damage hebo in solo pretty regularly. Literally only ever started to lose lane once to a Chaac who I started bodying by mid game.
