Kit Harington (Jon Snow) tweeted a poster of this film with Hiccup, Astrid, their kids, and the dragons with the caption “I’m gonna tell my kids this is how Game of Thrones ended.”
Addie is the perfect example of why these reaction videos are so popular, she's absolutely beautiful to watch and remind us of the joy of the first time watching 💯❤️🙏
This is not only my favourite of the Trilogy but my favourite movie of all time. Toothless and the Light Fury have the cutest relationship, Astrid's speech to Hiccup is so inspiring, Grimmel is the best villain. The Hidden World scene has some of the most stunning visuals ever and that ending will break anybody emotionally!
Grimmel? Best Villain? Did you see Race to the edge? If not, i highly recommend. There's the Villain named Viggo who is truly the best Villain in the entire Franchise ( not only my words, nearly everyone says that )
This is a rare trilogy where there is no bad film. Each one builds on the previous and you get to see the characters actually grow up over time. You get so invested in every character and dragon, that the end of the final film is heart-wrenching. And with a musical score that has such impact, it's impossible to think of a better sequence of films....
I think it's very clever that the villains from both this movie and the second one show what Hiccup could have became if he hadn't made different choices when in the same situations as them. Bloodfist lost his family to dragons and became vengeful, Hiccup lost his dad but he kept his compassion. Night Furys are very rare to come across, when Grimmel (an inventor like Hiccup) finds one, he kills it and becomes obsessed with using his machines to kill all dragons. When Hiccup finds a Night Fury he uses his machines to help him and all other dragons.
Actually I think bloodfist is what stoik could have become if he continued killing dragons… I mean he knows bloodfist from his past so they are very related to each over somehow. Stoik is also very strong and was able to fight basicly any dragon besides the nightfury
If you really want more, watch "How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming" It's a christmas TV special, that takes place right before the How to Train your dragon 3 ending in the timeline.
I thoroughly enjoyed the books as well. They are very different but very well written. David Tennant does a fantastic job of reading them if you like audio books (he has a cameo in the first move). Glad you enjoyed these! I was in college when the first one came out and I still love them. Also, best OST.
At the end of this movie when Hiccup says "There were dragons when I was a boy" it hit me so hard and I flashed back to the books. It was awesome. I figured they were going in a similar direction before that but that's when I knew they had planned to end it like the books.
Aww, I'm glad you enjoyed the movie so much, Addie! I've also cried a ton watching this movie XD It's so emotional and sweet, and I'm so glad Hiccup and Toothless got to reunite with their families, even if it took a while
Lovely reactio nagain. This movie is wonderful and the ending is so bittersweet but perfect. I laughed and cried, and the whole trilogy means so muc hto me, I'll never get tired of it. There are some TV series and some 30 min specials that take place between the movies. Just bits of fun really! But I love seeing more of the world and more dragons.
Something I like about this film, something that a lot of movies don’t do, is they brought up how hiccup had already tried to make a tail for toothless where he could fly by himself instead of pretending like this was the first time. A lot of franchises wouldn’t of brought up in a movie something that happened in a short in case someone hadn’t seen it. Them doing this just makes the whole thing more coherent.
You should react to the short movie called Homecoming. It’s a holiday special and it’s amazing. It’s after they got kids and got married. Much love from Italy🇮🇹❤️
Also a full 8 season TV series set between the 1st 2 movies (Seasons 2-8 are fine for both kids & adult audiences. S-1 is more for kids than adults.), plus a few specials and a spin-off series available. Much character development and many new dragons are introduced.
Oh bless, I feel your pain x my now 8 Yr old daughter is a httyd nut case, posters, play figures, lunch boxes... everything lol. We watched this together when it came out on blu Ray at home here in the u.k. and watching her break down and completely lose it, hurt my soul. She was inconsolable for hours, not understanding why they had to leave 😢... Even now she struggles with watching it lol... amazing trilogy, lovely reactions ❤️
The only thing better than seeing these movies for the first time was introducing them to my niece. We binge watched them until she got tired during this one. She asked me to pause, went to sleep, and woke me the next morning to finish it.
Let's give Addie a round of applause for officially completing the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy. 👏👏 I'm so glad you enjoyed Hiccup & Toothless' journey. Even though I was originally gonna watch the second movie to decompress after watching Oppenheimer (2023) in IMAX, I now plan on watching a double feature with both HTTYD sequels.
Speaking of Gerard Butler, who voices Stoick, I also suggest Reign of Fire (2002), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life (2003), Timeline (2003), 300 (2007), The Ugly Truth (2009), The Bounty Hunter (2010), Chasing Mavericks (2012), Olympus Has Fallen (2013), London Has Fallen (2016), Angel Has Fallen (2019), Geostorm (2017), Den Of Thieves (2018, UNRATED), Hunter Killer (2018), Greenland (2020) and Plane (2023). #MoreGerardButlerForAddieCounts
You should watch the series as well I'm sure you'll love them too!! Especially race to the edge it helps to know more about the dragon riders and it shows their friendship and adventures.... as it takes place before the second movie.
recommendation: gift of the night fury and homecoming. Gift of the Night Fury takes place after the first movie, and Homecoming happens after THIS movie aka the 3rd movie. They're Christmas specials so I think you'd love them since the holiday season is coming
I'm not sure if you do TV show reactions, but if you want to, you should totally check out the how to train your dragon TV shows. They are amazing, and add so much to the movies.
If nothing else, you should watch 'How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming'. It's a Christmas special from last year, and it makes a really nice companion piece/epilogue to the movies.
I love how while most dragons are smart some way or another, the night fury is straight up sentient, very close to humans, and considering it's intelligence, speed and fire power, the fact that Grimmel killed almost every one of them is impressive af
Your reactions are always fun to watch! Any chance you'll be expanding to platforms outside of Patreon for support? Either way, thanks for posting, can't wait to see what you'll watch next!
I think this is the best animated trilogy of all time. So much fun, so much heart. Toy Story, Shrek and Kungfu Panda are close, but HTTYD is the whole package. It gets better and better with each movie. So good. And Im glad they didnt stretch it out like Toy Story and Shrek did and ended the story at the end of 3rd movie.
Heyyy, it's Bill-E and would you believe that I'm actually happy this series is over? I can now watch this playlist over and over and over! John Powell was in charge of the music and he also does the music for Kung Fu Panda. That would be a great new animated movie series to start, wouldn't it? Take care of yourself, Addie!! I hope Ollie is doing well!!
9:05 So as far as I can tell, Night Furies and Light Furies are two different (but close) species. A female Night Fury should still be black, and a male Light Fury would also be white. They'd be able to reproduce like how lions and tigers can produce ligers and tigons. Same genus, different species.
Yeah I heard somewhere that the black scales and a few small changes are a few mutations from the original Light Fury lineage but they are still very close genetically
putting in my vote for u to watch httyd/ homecoming- it’s not super long but it’s incredibly cute and can be seen as an extended epilogue to this movie.
I highly enjoyed the side “TV” series, but it is a time commitment and is definitely not the same quality as the films. I would however recommend watching the 2 Netflix specials: “How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming” & “How to Train Your Dragon: Snoggletog Log”.
I like the How to Train Your Dragon Trilogy. I think the third film is stronger than the second film. It does a good job developing the characters more than the second film.
Yeah, this trilogy is fantastic, and the HTTYD movies are some of my absolute favorites, regardless of genre, animated or not. I really love many of the old Disney classics, and even some of the newer ones, before Disney went woke, but I feel like DreamWorks is where it's at, they have quite a few gems. I enjoy your reactions, and I hope you'll continue to react to movies from DreamWorks, Pixar, Blue Sky, and maybe even Illumination, the Despicable Me trilogy is a fun watch, if you haven't watched it already.

Whilst all three films r great, personally the 2nd and 3rd aren't as good as the first one, they have a different feel, and the not main dragons have worse designs imo. If I were to rank all the HTTYD "stuff", I would put the books first (very very different to the films); then the 1st film and Gift Of The Night Fury; then the 1st (Riders of Berk) and 2nd (Defenders of Berk) TV series; then the 2nd and 3rd films and the 3rd (Race To The Edge) TV series. It was actually because of that that I cried in this movie when Hiccup says "There were dragons when I was a boy." because I believe that was how Hiccup's narrations started in the books. Why are reactors ALWAYS shocked in this movie when they show the camo ability later in the movie? Example: in the camp ala Addie or in the love flight. It is shown in the first 10 minutes of the movie she has that ability. Are they just not noticing the blue eyes and putting it together? Yes toothless ability is a surprise, but not the light fury.
One of the Rare Trilogy, where all the movies are actually great.
It's my favourite Trilogy ever literally!
Another one is Avatar... The Airbender one
@@SG-FN-BD_Kelvinthat doesn’t count. those are seasons, not movies, so the “avatar trilogy” doesn’t exist. it’s just a show with 3 seasons
Kit Harington (Jon Snow) tweeted a poster of this film with Hiccup, Astrid, their kids, and the dragons with the caption “I’m gonna tell my kids this is how Game of Thrones ended.”

@blackpowder99. So true. I subbed when she reacted to the Dark Knight trilogy. Her reactions were spot on for me.
Absolutely agree a 100%.
Just a fun bit of trivia: The baby dragons are called "Night Lights" 😊
So glad you loved this trilogy, Addie. It really is an amazing story.
This is not only my favourite of the Trilogy but my favourite movie of all time. And the Gift of the Nightfury ( plus the other Specials and series )
"Drugged into obedience with their own venom" is such a horrible phrase
I thoroughly enjoyed the books as well. They are very different but very well written. David Tennant does a fantastic job of reading them if you like audio books (he has a cameo in the first move).

HTTYD is my favorite franchise ever, i love everything about it, its just so perfect to me
I liked the concept of nine realms, but they didn't handle it well. Plus the animation's crap.
I cry because of the how to train your dragon the hidden world in till the end the title of the song "together from afar" made me cried

Grimell is basically a what if Hiccup killed Toothless instead of saving him

Toothless being completely awkward and unable to court a lady very well is so relatable
it somehow ending up working though, less relatable
The feels hit harder if u watched the 2 two series/shows
Easily my favorite trilogy ever....I will never not love watching these movies.
wow, i finally found one who sees the credits till the end and have the same feeling as me.
HTTYD is my fav film franchise, like I always loved Vikings as a kid, so when this came out I was so excited and they became my fav movies
You should watch the series as well I'm sure you'll love them too!! Especially race to the edge it helps to know more about the dragon riders and it shows their friendship and adventures.... as it takes place before the second movie.
These movies are both wholesome and well-executed. I love them so much. ❤

DreamWorks makes my favorite animated movies.
Grimmel looks like Frollo
The very first and very last scenes of the trilogy are about as perfect as it gets.
You're in luck, there's 5 seasons of spin-off tv for these movies, with most of the voice cast intact!
I love how while most dragons are smart some way or another, the night fury is straight up sentient, very close to humans, and considering it's intelligence, speed and fire power, the fact that Grimmel killed almost every one of them is impressive af
I suggest the movie "The Neverending Story".
I know I'm in a minority but I truly *hate* that film. It's ultimately pointless.
Thank you for the video

There are 5 movies actually and they are awesome
Check out on all the series. Dragons and the nine realms is my favorite
There are the series
Defenders of berk
Book of Dragon
Legends of the Bonenapper
Dragon racing
And my personal favorite Race to the Edge
It would be great if she watched them
next you have to watch How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming
I like the How to Train Your Dragon Trilogy. I think the third film is stronger than the second film. It does a good job developing the characters more than the second film.
watch how to train your dragon race the edge it fills in the of the years between first and secound movie
See the Kung Fu Panda movies next.
39:20 And you don't even know what😂
Really wish they'd do a new trilogy of the dragons return. Set in the modern world or something.
You would see a posible future authoritarian government go crazy about their existance and definetly kill a few
The villian is just nemesis of hiccup
I believe there is also a Christmas short as well, there is also a modern day version, which is pretty cute as well called Dragons the nine realms
Please continue with Star Trek. 🖖
You should watch twister
How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming (2019)
How to train your dragon homecoming, that is the title of the short if you want to react to that one as well:)
38:28 It isn't. It's only inspired of it. The books are COMPLETELY diffrent
Yeah, this trilogy is fantastic, and the HTTYD movies are some of my absolute favorites, regardless of genre, animated or not. It's a little misleading in the beginning, as it really looks more like she's just shrouded in the mist, and was keeping her glowing eyes closed.
Can’t believe the 9 realm series are so bad compared to this
Another cry video?
For sure ill show this trilogy to my kids in the future :) Masterpiece
