Thanks for the update on Ft. Myers Beach and the Pink Shell. We often spent our time at the beach near Bowdich Park at the Pink Shell. I loved that part of the beach and walks in the park. I hated to think of it totally under water during Ian. Love your trips to that area. My best to Matey at home enjoying the shade!
Great job with the video’s. Love watching from northern Michigan. Glad you guys are enjoying. Of course are boats here are all put up for the winter. Keep the video’s coming.
Wow ! FMB looks so much better than last Christmas!!!! Looks fresh and new and the Pier is going to be amazing !!!! Trying to decide if Fort Myers or Tampa is going to be my new home. Hmmm. Anyways, thanks for the great tour !!! You guys have such a great life !! ❤️
We came into FMB from the Keys on a sailboat 3am Monday in super thick fog. We couldnt see anything . At least now I can see where we were. Was gonna call you to pick up my coozies.. but no time.
Great video as usual! Wish I was in your neck of the woods. hope your overnight on your regal was great fun. when we had our 27 foot regal we would takeoff for a week or 10 days and be quite comfortable on it even without the air-conditioning and generator. Truly love your videos, thanks😢
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs yep just got it yesterday. thank you. lol, I slipped a can of Jack Daniels and coke in it and sat in front of the fireplace sipping it down to the delight of my wife and her cats
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs lol, I understand. When I put the switch on house batteries to run the TV, fan, and refrigerator I always worried that it would draw down the starter battery. No generator to recharge it. Happy days. lots of worries too, lol
Everyone calls the slow zone the miserable mile. But technically, the official miserable mile is a little past the slow zone where boats go fast by picnic island. It’s a narrow channel with swift currents and all the fast boat wakes makes it a miserable ride often.
Did you pick you ride along pick? My wife and I are both teachers for "many years"--would love to spend a day!! We have hurricane issues with our boat--FYI!
If you mean the boat ride raffle, no not yet. That will be in a couple weeks. If you want your name in the hat, send us an email at adventuresofhappyours@gmail.com
Great video and video series! I own a large bowrider and from time-to-time want to own a yacht-like (like your "Happy Ours") - maybe I should own both. Are you planning on keeping both?
Is there a fee to dock at manazsas? Time limit? Ive never gone to any of the ft. Myers areas, always just hit up the islands. My wife and i have a condo on a canal in bokeelia, dumps into matlacha pass
The dock is free for dining guests at Matanzas restaurant. Tip you Dockmaster well! Most waterfront restaurants in the area have free docking if you patronage their establishment.
Yes the regal has a bow thruster. Thrusters are awesome. Game changer in many situations. The Regal at 25mph burns about 12gph. (Max speed is about 40mph). The Meridian at 25mph burns 40gph(if it can even get that fast)
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs Our Meridian is 40GPH at 20mph. Great decision to have the Regal to Jet around. Great videos, Thanks for the winter entertainment for us NE boaters.

I put on your videos and I just sit and grin! This is the life!
Thanks Sean!
Thanks for sharing! I’m counting the days until family vacation in DeSoto. Your videos have me pining for saltwater, sand and sunshine
Great tour captain I really like the new boat.

Nice video. It looked like a good time!
Beautiful video. Lots of work yet to be done in Ft Myers. And my coozy arrived in today's mail. Thank You.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing, this weekend we are going to the Boynton Beach boat parade. Petty excited about that.
Good job Captain. Thanks for sharing.
Great to see you're enjoying your boat! Don't get spoiled.
Nice to see Ft Myers is slowly coming back.
Very romantic inaugural initiation of the new boat……….
Another great tour! I enjoyed every minute of it. Keep up the good work.
Looking good !!!!
Glad to see Fort Myers coming back. Have a nice Holidays

The beach is coming back just needs some time
Looks like fun!! I will bring my boat from Jupiter to Cape Coral next summer by water through the Okeechobee lake to enjoy your area.

Thanks and good luck on the search. I like Fort Myers as it’s a smaller city. Tampa is more like the east coast cities.
The only bad thing about that area is the amounts of boats. Fun trip, living the dream.
Boats are like cowbells. “I need more cowbell!”
Suppose to come down in April thank you for the update 😊
New to your channel and I love your videos and the Regal.
Welcome!!
Always 🎉 enjoy show and great seanarie say hi to matey 🎉 Greg from Boston ma

We were in that fog at Fort Myers beach Sunday. The thickest I’ve ever seen. Will be a video on it I. A few days. How long you in the fort Myers area?
Just overnite otherwise would have said hello. 1600 miles sailboat delivery from CT. Back to the cold now.
Nice!
Nice!
I've been shoveling snow most of the day here.
Here's an idea for ya.
How about a trip to the North Captiva?
We have been to there on someone else’s boat. We’ll be there soon on the Regal!

"Turquoise Tom" "Bronzed Brigitt" and "Movin Matey" ... it is
Why is it called the “miserable mile”? Looks pretty beautiful and amazing from where I’m sitting here in cold & rainy Seattle!!
Everyone calls the slow zone the miserable mile. But technically, the official miserable mile is a little past the slow zone where boats go fast by picnic island. It’s a narrow channel with swift currents and all the fast boat wakes makes it a miserable ride often.
FWIW the area you described as the “Miserable Mile” is not the MM..it’s just a slow zone…the MM is the area of the channel up near Picnic Island.
That’s true but most people call the slow zone the miserable mile. So I just go with it.
Can I ask what line of work you retired from? Your breadth of knowledge is impressive.
32 years with Verizon communications. Retired an operations manager.
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs Did you ever work with Jerry Rubino? ;)
Name sounds familiar. I think I did.

Hay guys Great Video. If I can ask, can you video the menus a little more? Always looking to go for great eats when we pull in.. Rich and Lynn.
Most of the places have the menus on the web or google maps if you want to peruse them.
Great video and video series! I own a large bowrider and from time-to-time want to own a yacht-like (like your "Happy Ours") - maybe I should own both. Are you planning on keeping both?
For the time being yes we are keeping both. Using the larger Happy Ours for longer overnight trips where we don’t need the speed.
Is there a fee to dock at manazsas? Time limit? Ive never gone to any of the ft. Myers areas, always just hit up the islands. My wife and i have a condo on a canal in bokeelia, dumps into matlacha pass

Does Bridge like the passenger seat looking out the back? It’s like my direct drive ski boat but there is usually some action behind the ski boat!!
Her favorite seat!
Does the Regal have a thruster? What was the difference in fuel consumption between the Regal & Meridian on this trip? Just wondering.
Yes the regal has a bow thruster. Thrusters are awesome. Game changer in many situations. The Regal at 25mph burns about 12gph. (Max speed is about 40mph). The Meridian at 25mph burns 40gph(if it can even get that fast)

I don’t miss that!
Is that the original Clocktower or did they rebuild it?
Not sure
I'm the a-hole that got excited thinking those outboards were for sale 😂
They are cool though!
Did you get a trailer for the 26?
We didn’t take the trailer with the purchase. Had no need or interest for it. No space to store it and no truck to pull it.
Mam I need to get back down that was
All I needed to hear was frozen drinks
Can u find a good pizza down there???? Lol. Jersey here
Cape Coral? Yes some good places. Pretty good food down here.
What are you doing.....funny
you should get your captains license and do day drinking charters....if so sign us up?
I already have my captain license. 50 ton near coastal with tow endorsement. I do charters on both Happy Ours and After Ours. 👍
Great...do you advertise your rates anywhere?@@AdventuresofHappyOurs

How so?
Time to get a real job.
Nah, I did that real adulting stuff for over 30 years. It’s fun time.
