In 3:47 you suggested to write the role below the name. My question is which role is this ? Current job position role ? Or applying job position role ?
Namaste Brother! In the Honors and Awards section, can I put there my university merit list award and robotics competition championship award? If they are not related in the job description!
Hi Jegan, your video is really helpful on how to write a CV for German companies. Could you please make a video about cover letters as well? I have seen videos with that subject but I´m still confused. Specially when we are applying for German jobs from outside of Europe. Thank you in advance.
Thank you Jegan for this video, it was useful one. I have a question I am in Germany and will start applying soon, just wanted to know if JD is in German shall I apply as I have A1 level knowledge of German language.
Thank you for the info, Sir! Currently, I work in South Korea. In the language section, does it really required to specify my english proficiency level (i.e. B1, C2)? I dont have a certification but I can speak and confident with my english. We also use english at the company.
Hi, jegan, really nice and helping video. Can you help me with this ? I'm currently doing masters in Germany, and in parallel I did job as Werkstudent for 1.7 year and also worked for 1.5+ year in my home country, so total of 3 years of experience. Now I'm willing to enter into job market. 1. What should be context of my the Objective/Summary/About section ? As a student or my work experience ? 2. What should be the CV page length ? Mostly people say for freshers it should be only 1 page. 3. I have experience working as PHP Developer / Web Development e.t.c. but I'm pursuing masters in artificial Intelligence. How should I convince them that I want to get the job in Development side ?
Hi Hanzala, Thanks for your kind words. I will share my thoughts for your questions, pls use them if it suits. 1. You may still show yourself as a student until you are done with your degree. Of course, you should still show total years of experience. As you already might know, you can go into a full time role and convert your visa to Blue Card from student. 2. Not mandatory to be 1 pager, you can go upto 2. But not more than that. 3. You can say that by experience and interest you are a developer. But you are pursuing AI degree to take your career to the latest technology trends. (I assume AI & Wed development would definitely have an intersection. You can explore/research about it and share the employer that this is kind of a sweet spot for me to use existing experience with latest technology trend. This way you could be an asset to take your company into AI journey quickly. ) -- This would be my approach/argument. Hope it helps !
Hi jegan i don't have A1 in german i have started learning now do you think it's good option to add german language beginner without the certification.
Hi Jegan, thanks for your video. Ive 8+ yrs of Sales experience and graduated with an Executive MBA from Middlesex University with a BSc from Loyola college. Please suggest me how to i get a job in Europe from India. I am ready to do any job and i need the work permit please. I applied to many jobs all across Europe via LinkedIn, however I am not getting any interview calls.
Hi Raman, Thanks for your comment. I understand the difficulty you are facing, but unfortunately the job searching process is tough one (atleast for Germany). If you are not restricted to a single country, you can also try for Sweden, Netherlands too. There too you could find English speaking jobs.
My opinion is to build your CV on your own by referring different templates. Because even in paid platforms, they will mostly put your information in different sections. But if you're getting support to create a CV from scratch, then it could be considered. Else, self help is best help. 🙂
Hi Jegan, great video🥳 can you please answer one of my question that is i am in india and have 5 years of experience in corporate sector and also learning A1 level german language , and i dont have any german visa. Can i apply for german jobs through linkedin ? Waiting for your reply !
Yeah Ajay. For Sure. You can apply for jobs that sponsor visa. So once you clear all the interview rounds, the employer will help you get a visa and move to Germany.
Actually I have not prepared this using a word editor, so I do not have a doc file as such. I have been planning to create one in doc and add it in description but could not prioritise since many weeks. I will do it this week and let you know.
Hi Jegan, I have worked in service based companies where I have served very well known product based companies (client). Can I mention these companies (client) in our resume ?
Hi Kalyani, You can start researching and preparing yourself from now onwards. But usually international candidates get opportunities with minimum 3 yrs experience. If I would be in your place, I will research the job market, understand the processes and equip myself with missing skills. While approaching 3 rd year I would start applying. But I suggest you to take your own decision 🙂
2:47 you suggested that keep my cv name Name_cv_year . My question is which type of name I will use here ? Full name , only fisrt name or only last name ?
You can use your first name. It is just an indicator, some use both first & last name too. There is no hard & fast rule on this. Just that instead of saving the file with random words, having a structure will make more sense.
My preference is always pdf, that will be better. Because not every organization uses same document processing software to read your .doc file. So there could be misalignments.
Hi Madhubabu, I tried to cover some points to avoid rejections in this video ua-cam.com/video/6lLrSx4StaU/v-deo.html. See if this helps, else connect with me over LinkedIn, maybe we could discuss on your CV.
Hello sir, I am an IOS developer from India. I have 5+ years of experience. And willing to relocate to Germany. But don't know how can I apply for a job. Tried applying for jobs on LinkedIn but not getting any response. Do we need any job seeker visa first to apply or we can directly apply without any visa?
Hello Amey, No. We don't need any visa to apply for jobs. All you need is relevant CV and a nice cover letter. Once your CV gets shortlisted, you can show your skills and convince the employer to get the job. After that, they will sponsor your work visa. I would say, everytime you apply for a job, modify your CV based on the job description. Include relevant keywords. Because before even a human being looks at your CV, many companies use automated resume screener. That will reject you, if you dont have relevant keywords mentioned in job description. I wish you all the best !
Thank you for the video. I followed a different structure. Could you tell me if it's ok or not. It's a Total 1.5 page CV. It would be wonderful, if we can connect over LinkedIn and discuss my CV 🙏🙏 Personal details Profile/ summary Work experience Skills Projects Education Certifications Interests I did not rank my skills, as I think it is not good to rank them by yourself. Please let me know, if that's appropriate.

I gave a sample format in the google drive link in description. You can use that, unfortunately I did not make it in word, so you can make it by referencing this.
I noticed many openings in LinkedIn with a job title "Chemikant". But I am not sure if visa sponsored for these jobs or not. Looks like German language is mandatory for it.

@@jegankennedy Thanks for quick reply. I could try it myself. The difficulty would be adding photo and crating left panel in CV.
If you're aware of the tool called as Canva. It could be done nicely there. Little patience is needed, though.

You can make a new section as Certifications. What I discussed is just one way, you can add different headers.
