I was thinking, oh good grief some of these are super ahh, unattractive 🤣 but upon reflection it's nice to see potentially very comfortable shoes become fashionable instead of murderously high stilettos 😁👍 Here's to comfort.
LOL ugly shoes are definitely having their moment in the sun. Hehe, I wonder if all the time spent at home this year has meant practicality has taken priority XD

Hi Jamie, wow, what an interesting chunky everything trend! Even in the delicate mules... hmm... I'm not sure I'll jump on it, but it was fun to watch nevertheless. Thank you for being our pioneer and explorer and sharing your experience with these. Sam Edelman seems to be doing a lot of good shoes, and it's so nice to be assured that they're comfy. Definitely very utilitarian - have to wonder how the world climate plays into these trends. I recall hearing once that in times of excess skirt hems rise, and then they get longer as we tighten the purse strings. Not sure how much truth there is in that but interesting nonetheless!

My favorite item are the ballerina slides because they're do elegant and can be paired with jeans or a dress.
I love them too! Have had the designer version on my wishlist for a while and the affordable option has definitely filled that gap in my closet 😊

Brittany completely rocks these chunky, "ugly" shoes. Not everyone can carry the style she did which is more..architectural-inspired, I feel. Love her style 💯💕
She really does - and when I think about her style as a whole, it's incredibly consistent too (and she has the right type of figure to pull it off!). I love her style too
I also have jump onboard with the dad sandals, haven't worn them yet but my husband hates them! I agree that they are definitely a shoe you either love or hate.
I've worn mine a handful of times - still trying to figure out the styling as they are SUCH a statement. Might have to go on Pinterest for some inspiration :) Yep a total man repelling shoe haha xx

LOL they’re not for everyone - most of the designer dupes out there tend to be for shoes that are on trend and ugly shoes seem to be having their moment. I’m all for comfortable shoes so I don’t mind them, plus a bit of fun to try something different 🤷🏻♀️

I have zero need for new shoes or bags at the moment but you always do such a great job with these videos that I had to watch :) I think it's interesting that the Susanna boots are coming back... I feel like I saw a dupe for those on the Zara website recently. I was obsessed with those back in the day but when I actually tried them on in my size (41) to potentially buy them, the ankle was cut soooo wide that they looked completely out of proportion. And just like that, the love affair was over! 😂
You know I actually bought a pair, and felt at the time they weren't really right for my style. I sorta wish I'd kept them? But then, on reflection - I got a pair of Ann D boot sandals which I'd wanted for ages and I haven't pulled them out to wear them once so maybe I'm best saving my money. I think some of the dupes for the Chloe boots were a little more wearable/flattering on multiple body shapes. Hope you're having a great start to the week xx
@@mademoisellejaime I think we all get sucked into purchases that we don't end up wearing, sometimes because we just love the ARTISTRY of the item! And it turns into "no one will appreciate this pair of shoes as much as I will, so I need to buy them, take them home and keep them safe!" (or maybe that's just me LOL)

There’s a definite trend out there with shoes right now - chunky and clunky! I’m giving it a little go with my summer shoes but always go back to the classics, that’s for sure haha.
