What are your thoughts on affirmations I’ve been finding them cheesy to listen to and my brain won’t believe what I am saying have u had any success with it?
When you have social anxiety you're basically running negative affirmations constantly: "You're weird / disgusting / people don't like you" Affirmations are basically a way to recondition yourself with positive self-talk. If they don't work for you, that's fine. But I have found them helpful and know others who have.
