A mandate is a written command given by a authority or agent member of public contract by which one person requests other persons to agree voluntarily to a service it only becomes effective when the mandatory agrees only mandatory once you agree to do it if you do not consent to the request you are not obligated under the mandate to comply there is a difference between a mandate and a law!!!!

Some of these comments are ridiculous. Some even accuse Lior of misinformation or that he doesn't know what he's talking about. I don't blame people for being upset but I loose sympathy when people are just plain wrong and refuse to acknowledge that their preconceived notions of how the law or of how vaccines and even how Canada works aren't accurate. Rewriting the same questions doesn't change the law. Calling things experimental or violations doesn't mean they are. Keep up the good work Lior and the others. These guys are fighting for you even though some refuse to see that.

Also, if they are on unpaid leave that may block the EI. They might be better off arguing that the leave is termination without cause like in the video

Another perspective on proof of vaccination applying for a job. Could employers use it as a tool to weed out people they feel are non compliant to authority, or who they think are not team players etc. Maybe asking an employer at the time of interview why "proof" matters may reveal a lot about the company as well.

I was terminated Oct 22 as well and was working from home the whole time. My employer thought that I threaten health and safety of the patients and colleagues from working from home and my request for accommodation under human rights code was not honoured.

@@toffermantravels853 I've never worked in a union, so how does it work? Can you still get work of some kind through your Union? Will they help you find other types of work? In the event you get terminated, do you get a Record of Employment like the private sector? There's a section that asks the reason for issuing the ROE, is be curious to see what it says. If it's code M, dismissal, is anybody going to challenge it. As I understand, justification for dismissal is supposed to require a reason that really breaks the trust relationship, if anything that's what the employer has done, imo. I presume frontline workers would have a better understanding of the actual risks versus theoretical modeling that seems to be passed on to the "authorities" from some place nobody knows.

Are you claiming that an individual man/woman ACTING on behalf of a corporation/employer is not accountable or liable for their actions regarding deprivation of rights under color of law? No man or woman is above the law and no man or woman can hide behind corporate structure when they're engaging in criminal behavior (uttering threats, coercion, intimidation, extortion) and depriving people of their right to medical consent, security of person/bodily integrity AND right to work.
As far as I can tell, employers are relying on the Re-opening Ontario Act for this proof of vax mandate. But when you read the actual act/statute they are relying on for imposing a proof of vax mandate, it expressly reads that it only applies to PATRONS and not employees.

  • @brettgbarnes

    Questions:
Why would an employer impose a workplace vaccine mandate?
On what scientific evidence, if any, did employers base their assumptions that a vaccine mandate would be effective at achieving its intended purpose?
How would imposing a vaccine mandate, and subsequently firing employees who did not comply, benefit an employer?
I would imagine that an employer would make the decision to impose a vaccine mandate based on a cost-benefit analysis, so how would the benefits outweigh the costs?
In retrospect now in 2024, was it worth it to employers to impose vaccine mandates in 2021 & 2022?

The FDA EUA the very thing that authorizes the use of this experimental drug clearly states that the decision to accept or refuse the experimental drug is 100% the recipients choice.

If you are in a union ( practically useless) file a greivance no matter who or what tells you, if you are on a loa or will soon be. I am in the bcgeu and art 12,1.3 1.5 is grounds against this mandate bs even if they say it isn't. I made a request for a religius exemption ( which my good people is grounds if you say so not anyones interpretation and has to be honoured within reason if you claim. or in this case you can cliam discrimination for political as well as it involves govt policy. In Bc Bonnie henry's lies are NOT law provincial letterhead or not and if you are in a union its will state somewhere that in all cases that the collective agreement shall take prescedence even if someone is acting on your employers behalf ( health authority). All unions have a clause that there shall be no discrimintaion for employment ie, race sex, religion, political etc also unions have a time limit to act and in my opinion are avoiding as many claims as they can to assuage employees to exhaust there time limit and give up.I called the union 2 days ago and gave then hell for not acting and threatened them with union activity interferance as it has been 9 weeks and not even a step 1 yet. The union representative said I had a right to file against her under sec 12 then she hung up on me.30 mins later I got an email saying my claim is now at step 3! and she just talked with my employer as she told me she never knew about it but my shop stewart told me she handed it in 9 weeks ago. I am now awaiting and wrote in my testimony that I would be willing to get tested instead of jabbed to return to work that way I am making grounds for severance as I did not leave but am being forced. If you filed a greivance, PRESSURE your union to act if they haven;t yet, the more people file the more likely they will pressure your employer to inact testing or pay you out
